Yet another great BOGO50% Sale this week at Toys R Us, though this one is limited to just the City sets. If you've been holding off picking up that Garage and Airport or if you're eyeing the new Police Station, this sale is for you. :o) Also, don't forget to pick up the now discontinued Traveller impulse set which pairs nicely with....himself, or maybe the Smart Car. :o)

I think it should be noted that there is no free shipping at tru.com, so that, combined with tax, means you are getting about a 3% off on each set. So I would say go to the stores only for this.

Also it is laughable that this 'sale' occurs now as there is is practically nothing in stock online, or in the stores I visited, for Lego city sets that would make this worthwhile.

Target has a few Lego sets on sale as well. The creator 3 in 1 car, toy story dump truck, and 2 others I can't remember. I am glad to see all these sales, but it is hard to find stuff when the shelves are nearly bare and the sets they do have I either have or don't want. Can't wait to see new Lego star wars in the stores.
BTW TRU still has free shipping for orders over $49.

I'm pretty sure everybody in the States owns every set by now! What's the point of more sales?!
If you stay out of the mark-up districts Lego is just being given away in the States. Canada has 25% mark up, higher taxes, and no lego sales (when there is a sale, it sucks).

FYI, some TRUs have the old and new police command set on display, the old one is a couple bucks cheaper and has about 100+ extra pieces in the box so it's a better value. Having said that, the newer one has a moer streamlined look.
