Too bad us Aussies continue to be abused by S@H, the RRP for this set is as below:- AUD$269.99 (converted: USD$272 or GPB$176)- US$149.99 (converted: AUD$152 or GPB$97)- GPB$132.99 (converted: AUD$203 or USD$205)This is pricing before shipping to Australia mind you, but its still quite a difference between major currencies. Obviously UK pricing is quite steep compared to US dollar, but nowhere near as expensive as AUD. By jatonaz in United States, 28 Dec 2010 07:33Wow you Aussies have it worse than we do, we'll probably get it in Taiwan for around USD250 in most brick and mortars, around 200 on the web. The exchange rate right now is around 1:30, but for Lego sets it's 1:5X. It's so bad I can order it in the US and ship it here and still sell for 5~8% profit, with simple clicks of a mouse. By spency13 in United States, 28 Dec 2010 10:41Awesome!! I can't wait for this set!! By calirican04 in United States, 28 Dec 2010 12:57I can't order it on the US site. :( By bluemoose in United Kingdom, 28 Dec 2010 13:29This is listed as 'UK news' after all; the US site still says 1st Jan for ordering. It's only a few days away :-) By calirican04 in United States, 28 Dec 2010 13:31Yea I know, can't wait. Haha. By tesogel in United Kingdom, 28 Dec 2010 13:33I like this set. Can't wait when I'll order one:) By Midnight in United Kingdom, 28 Dec 2010 13:43Bought mine yesterday at the UK Bluewater store, and I love it. It's so detailed, and is the first Harry Potter set that takes me more than a couple of hours to build. Would totally recommend this one to anyone. As for price, it's not unreasonable in the UK, better value than the other HP sets to be fair. Though I didn't really pay full price as I had a load of VIP points saved up to use on it. By r2d2qa in United States, 28 Dec 2010 18:01I just took a closer look at the picture on LEGO.com and isn't Hagrid missing... his whole body? ;) just saying... By Matthew in United Kingdom, 28 Dec 2010 18:18^ That's the prelim image, same as all the HP sets: look at Ron's hair in Hagrid's Hut as one example: There are loads. By LukeSkywalker in Ireland, 28 Dec 2010 19:05I was expecting it to cost €149.99, but turns out it's €159.99. That extra €10 bothers me, but I'm still gonna buy it regardless, I really want it! :) By spency13 in United States, 28 Dec 2010 23:02I got it at a lego store in phoenix, AZ!!!!!!!!!!! By ensign_dave in United Kingdom, 31 Dec 2010 04:05TYPICAL!!! I go to order one of these sets from the LEGO site and they're out of stock not shipping until 22nd January now! By AZFIREWOLF in United States, 31 Dec 2010 08:16I don't think that I will be buying this set unless it goes on sale. Once the insturctions come out anyone could build it short of the minifigs and a few pieces. I think it might be a little over priced. By NexThursday in Italy, 03 Jan 2011 11:26ok, I waited till I got the "shipped" mail by lego.. but now I have to spit this out: I bought this set for 47.99 euros!! I still don't get what happened at lego.com, but a few hours after I placed my order (on 27th december) the price had drastically changed to 159.99.. apart from sheer luck, do you know what this might be about? By Murdoch17 in United States, 03 Jan 2011 13:59Okay, I just discovered this post on Eurobircks: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=47003&st=0 If you scroll down, it has the three instruction booklets for Diagon Alley.
