Just in time for free delivery, Star Wars sets now available at shop.LEGO.com

Posted by ,
Republic Frigate

The free shipping and free Kingdoms set offers end today, but luckily the eight new Star Wars sets have just been added in time to take advantage of these two offers. See the sets listed on the What's New page, which I note also contains the Heroica sets.

Awesome, hopefully they'll be in-stock when I take my bi-annual trip to The Lego Store. I'm surprised to see the '7877: Naboo Fighter' priced at $49.99 and the '7961: Darth Maul's Sith Infiltrator' at $69.99; I'd heard that it was either gonna be $49.99 or $59.99.

@tyuku57 - The 'LEGOshop.com news (US)' means it refers to people in the US only.

By in United States,

I think Darth Maul's sith infiltrator and the ewok attack are both over priced. I think I'm going to wait until they are on sale.

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally! This has to be the best star wars wave yet! I also saw they're on TRU's site.

By in United Kingdom,

Most of the new sets have been available in UK on very.co.uk for a few weeks now. And you get the star wars minifig poster with the new sets. If they still have any left that is. The posters are all numbered and ltd edition

By in United States,

Didn't have any at the Lego store in michigan. But toysrus had all of them and the two sponge bob sets

By in United States,

@ starfire2. I agree. The SW is really pricy and I bet not quite as popular anymore with all of the remakes. A little patience on the SW stuff and you can get them on Amazon or at a big box when they are on sale. Target has 30% off recent SW stuff and Amazon always has SW on sale.

Mace Windu available as well. Score.

By in United Kingdom,

Havent been there recently so couldnt comment. Ordered mine with very tho and had no probs. Was delivered nxt day and got the minifig poster. Paid cash to avoid the credit account. Although i noticed they offer a buy now pay later so could get the frigate ship and not pay til next year....

I guess if they have them then other stockists in the UK must have them tho?

By in United States,

I was at 2 of my local TRU this and neither of them had any new SW legos. The only new one I saw was the $14.99 Spongebob set, which was actually pretty cool, but I'm not into that theme.

By in United States,

I noticed this around noon today EST, but I figured you'd notice eventually, Huw. What a deal! Not the set prices, of course, but the free shipping....

Gravatar
By in United States,

I think I might just buy Ewok Attack.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Awesome, though why on earth is the Naboo Starfighter priced at $50? What makes it any different (other than inflation) than the 2007 version?

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

They have been down under for a while now, but they are rather expencive

By in United Kingdom,

I recently purchased Ewok Attack from Very as part of a deal, effectively getting it half price (i certainly wasn't going to pay £26 just for 2 ewoks - which is effectively what most of us will be doing), and I have to say that even at £13 the set is still seriously poor.
Unless you simply MUST have every set, or every minifig, then I'd recommend giving this set a miss. Sure, the concept (tree-based combi-attack) is a nice idea, but it is so badly executed. The build experience is bad (you feel every section is going to explode with every brick you put on), and the speeder-bike (possibly yet another rendition) feels like it will snap if you try to adjust the middle section (i've never before felt that a lego piece was going to break if i moved it) - and then it just doesn't sit right (either it points down, due to the front end being heavier but higher off the ground, OR if you level it off by lowering the front section, the handle bars and foot rest area get pushed against each other). I definitely prefer earlier versions. Sadly it looks like the entire Star wars line is falling into new fig syndrome, with the actual set being merely an excuse to whack the price up but little work actually going into it beyond that. On the plus side though, The Pharaohs Quest range stuff I bought is absolutely brilliant (even without stickers).

50$ for naboo fighter?-dang.

'See's prices, rubs eyes, then faints. Gets up again, looks at price, and gets a heart attack.' :o
WOW! JUST WOOOWWWW! Sometimes I get real mad at George Lucas, I mean, does he really need MY extra 5 bucks for an already over priced Lego set? I think not. The only sets that even have close to a somewhat reasonable price would be the Frigate and the Sith Speeder. And I thought last year was bad. I agree with legomatt, it seems they're overpricing sets because of a some 'exclusive' deformed Ki-Indi-Mundi or other ''rare'' Lego Minifig. Lego has been rising prices for sets for a Long time now, even when most of the world is in an economic crisis, why? ARrrggg!
"Deep Breath" Sorry, I needed to vent. On another note, despite the...th..well you know what I think of the prices, the sets look quite nice (NOT nice enough for the money they cost I.M.O) Especially the Pod racers and the Millennium Falcon and the Geo Fighter. The Naboo fighter and the Infiltrator make my already boiling blood boil even more. WHY do the SAME sets time after time??? Why not re release sets you didn't just remake two years ago???
The Ewok Attack should have been made into a Battle pack, THAT I'd buy 3 off! So that's opinion of these sets, almost completely drowned out because of the prices. This is just my opinion so please don't be offended if you like the sets, I just need to vent.

I'm buying the geonosian fighter for the figs and it goes great alongside my solar sailor. :)

By in United States,

7879 Hoth Echo Base is on lego.com for $89.99 for 773 pieces. The pic just shows a pile of legos and you can't buy it.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Aww I didn't know the sale ended today. It's 9pm Hawaii and when I went to the buy, it removed the free shipping. augh.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Does anyone know if Toys r us are stocking these sets yet?

Gravatar
By in United States,

TRU has them. They even have "LEGO Star Wars Limited Edition Hoth Echo Base (7879) instock right now for $94.99 with free shipping. I so want to get this one, but I'll wait till Lego.com has it instock.

By in Canada,

You know, everybody, that 'US' refers to Canada, too. Anyway, I'm not very interested in this wave.

By in Philippines,

Saw this in the Toys R us website but only in stores. Interested in the Falcon, Frigate and the Sith Infiltrator due to Darth Maul.

By in United States,

After carefully reading reviews and viewing each product, I have decided that the best of the bunch are Anakin and Sebulba's Podracers, the Millennium Falcon, the Republic Frigate, and the Geonosian Fighter, in that order. Clearly, the prices are the low point for all of these sets, but the podracers have finally been revived and improved after 10 years, when Watto's Junk Yard was released. These podracers include great minifigures and parts, and they are aesthetically pleasing for a *fair* price compared to the others. The Falcon is finally in minifigure scale once again, and it is a beauty overall. (Too bad the price is scaring me away). The frigate seems almost like a carbon copy of the 2007 Republic Cruiser, but in fact many say it is a beautiful model of its own. I love the figures with new dark green lightsabers, the Wolfpack troopers, and definitely the set design. Finally, the Geonosian Fighter is very expensive, but is a pipe dream come true for those (like me) that never picked up the 2002 model. The Ki-Adi-Mundi figure is a nice addition, and the rare coloring of the model's pieces clinch it for #4.

The rest of the models may be worth it if you look at each one individually, but I believe these are the top four. Unfortunately, the nicely redesigned Naboo Fighter is priced so high that I am no longer very interested. The Sith Infiltrator has nice figures, but I feel that Lego may have added some of the extra bulk simply to raise the price ($40 more than the original). I don't believe the set is worth more than $55, the Naboo fighter $35 to $40, the Ewok Attack $15 to $20, and the Sith Nightspeeder perhaps $20 (the latter may have the best deal of these four). Finally, Mace Windu's starfighter is a nice addition for a measurably more reasonable price and piece count.

By in United States,

Interesting... I wonder when they will show up on LEGO Store shelves here in the US. Does anyone know if they have, already?

Gravatar
By in United States,

If you are a BJ's Member, you can get The Sith Nightspeeder for $18.99( in store). You can also get the Battle of Naboo for that price too. They also had the Alien Conquest Tripod Invader & NinjaGO Ice Dragon Attack for $18.99 as well. At least at my local store they did.

By in United States,

@Zacherano- The new Millennium Falcon is generally regarded as a bit under par, due to its inaccuracy, unfinished look in some places, and near-empty interior. However, you're spot on about the Pod Racers and the Frigate.

This new Sith Infiltrator could be one of the worst sets ever released. Despite being a flawed set to begin with (that front nose and interior are awful) the piece/price ratio is atrocious.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@thebrickdaddy - Thanks! It seemed to me like the Falcon was more detailed than previous models, but I'm not a big Falcon fan. I've been waiting for those podracers and the Geonosian fighter for years. A few years back, I made my own podrace, but it doesn't measure even close to those two beautiful podracers.

By in United States,

I took advantage of this and bought most, minus the infiltrator, ewok, and hoth, new releases(finally Windus JSF came out).

As of Wednesday my local TRU, Northern California, does not have the new SW wave. It's nice that we finally got Windus JSF. My droids finally have STAPS and a droideka to add to their ranks.

By in United States,

My sisters and I bought the three smallest Heroica sets from Amazon. However, they won't arrive until August 3rd. (This is on topic. Huw said "See the sets listed on the What's New page, which I note also contains the Heroica sets.")

By in United States,

To comment on what people have said about the new line in general, Lego's economic trends over time have shown that the prices have become inevitable at this point. Still, those two sets that looked so promising in earlier pictures, the Naboo Starfighter and the Sith Infiltrator, are priced so ridiculously that I know I'm not the only fan who doesn't want them anymore. On the other hand, the Republic Frigate seems like a great deal for my money.
