By in New Zealand,

what on earth does this mean? ....
What do you usually do on the LEGO online community?
"Use elements to completely change things I am working with in another field"
"Directly use one or more elements and combine them for my purpose"

It's not market research, it's an elaborate hoax by a bunch of frustrated university psychology graduates.

I'll tell you what I think: I think it made my eyes bleed, the page colours were terrible!

By in Canada,

They didn't have TBB on the "select your online community" page! Other than that, it was all right.

@LegoCoastGuard: Good grief! :P Must have been a Surveymonkey employee who wrote that! :P

By in United States,

They had BrickLink and BrickLink for sites you frequent. I had to go look up which one was it.

I also get the feeling the survey writer couldn't quite write complex thoughts -- or maybe he/she was limited to one sentence and got frustrated.

Did anyone else find that color wheel of feelings weird?.....

As a University instructor of English and Rhetoric, I have students develop surveys ... and if this current survey was created by one of my students, the grade would have been a "D."

The area where they listed all the various Lego usergroups, and they didn't have a catagory for "Do Not Use..." well, very unprofessional. Also, the way that section was worded cancels out all the data from that question due to the "choose a catagory if you do not use this group" concept. Simply awful survey; and yes, the colour palette was disturbing too. It did not follow standard online visual protocols.

@krklint: Well, that's the expert's view on it... :P

My eyes, ahh my eyes :P

An ok survey, the color wheel thing was pointless I think

By in United States,

I got soooooo dizzy in that last section about which communities I participate in. That bright red/yellow was tooo much!

By in United States,

@Huw: I agree with you on that one

Alemas: What exactly does XD mean? :P Is it LOL with eyes closed? :P
I'm not even gonna' bother doing the survey. From what I've heard it's basically torture.
(And I don't like really bright colors that contradict each other :)

^Yes, pretty much

By in Australia,

What's this? This survey is painful to even look at and do?

/Challenge accepted./

...

I find it interesting that the "Apart from the online community, where else do you interact with LEGO and LEGO fans?" doesn't have a negative response; not that it applies to me, but there are surely plenty of people who don't have access to such events, or simply don't attend.

^ Yeah besides the online community, I don't participate in anything. (I live too far away from everything)

By in United States,

They listed Bricklink twice in a row on the "select your online community" page, as well as other problems that were already mentioned. This was not a good survey.

By in Germany,

@Gandalf1: What a rubbish survey... :P

@legomaniac: I agree.

By in United States,

@spency13, that color wheel thing was really random...like the 'Learning Styles' test I have to take every school year... :S

By in Canada,

It's more like Lego wanted to know which kind of people fill out their surveys... otherwise anyone elses guess is as good as mine.

By in United Kingdom,

That colour wheel will dictate the next new themes. Not because of our responses, just because a Lego employee will stick a pin in it while blindfolded and spun round.

"Excellent, green! That means everyone wants conflict-free, hippy environmental themes for 2013!"

There's a fair chance the survey was written by a Danish person. It's not an excuse, but it may be the reason. I also wish that there was an option to skip the first few questions (particularly the open-ended portions) if you've answered previous surveys.

Done! The colour question was quite hard...

No LDraw on the "select your online community" page! A real disappointment.
