So the first sets are listed at Amazon.de with many (Hi-Res-) pictures showing some nice new elements...

Now raise your hand on who wants to see these animals in Lego form... my son likes to play with his zoo animals, but safari animals are pretty cool.

Who cares about new DUPLO parts, no-one does MOCs with them! :P

@alemas My daughter does ;P

@ncbarrett: Well, yeah, just little kids do MOCs with DUPLO. :P If you even consider what they build as MOCs. :P They still are "[Their] Own Creations", though... :P

By in United States,

I've seen some reviews of adults talking about how excited they were to get a 2x3 DUPLO brick. They may of been parents though, as this was before the "What group are you a part of?" thing.

@Berrybrick: About the 2x3 DUPLO brick, why didn't LEGO produce one for over 40 years? :P

@Alemas: that's awfully presumptive of you. I doubt whether I'm the only grown up here who loves Duplo. And yes, I build MOCs with it. You see I have a 2 year old son, so proper Lego is too fiddly for him. And too painful for me when he smashes it down. So instead I have got rather into Duplo with him. Easy to build. No tears (mine) when smashed. And such a cool selection of parts. Trust me, just wait til you have kids. Vive Duplo. And whilst I am at it, I confess I was rather excited when I got a 2x3 Duplo brick last year. Next can I have a 2x1 please?

Calling all A-F-O-Ds!
The giraffe with a bandage around its neck is amusing.
My house has a bunch of Duplo, but my two year old would rather play with my stuff. Maybe that will change when he gets some Cars2 Duplo this Christmas. I just got a Ferrari Duplo set from eBay yesterday and it is AWESOME, so Duplo has its merits.
Ninjago needs some LEGO panda bears.

That zoo hospital made me lol. Funny giraffe as ^said. And that's one BIG fish. Cute stuff. Though not many bricks?!

I think it is interesting that Duplo's and their figures are included in the data base. But certain molded small lego sized mini figures like the Mars Aliens, Bionical guys (for the Bionical Lego scaled sets) are not exactly appreciated.

Why does LEGO always put so much yellow in sets like 4628? Even in their own pictures of proposed sets it is barely used. It's a color that you can't really use for anything sensible. Put in more green (dark rather than lime) and brown!

/\ It's aimed at very young children. Does it need a sensible colorscheme? /\

Alemas: Duplo for the win! :P Seriously though, I love Duplo. After being growing up on it, I still occasionally bring 'em out and build some little buildings. I'm pretty jealous of all the cool toys little kids get (Those baby seats that bounce? You can't top that! :P) Though I don't buy them anymore, as their price/piece ratio is just sad.

Is it bad that I want to buy all the Zoo sets for my, um, future kid. That is nowhere near getting made . . .

@ Berrybrick 4628 isn't a Duplo set, but a LEGO one. Look at the fourteen pictures linked above: in only one of them a significant amount of yellow bricks is used.

That panda bear looks depressed, he has no moving arms lol and the lion doesn't look very happy.
