Republic Dropship with AT-OT Walker

You can now order the AT-OT for immediate dispatch.

If you're in the USA use this link: Republic Dropship with AT-OT Walker . The price is $249.99.

In the UK for once we have a reasonable exchange rate, better in fact than that quoted at xe.com at the moment (1 USD = 0.690784 GBP) so use this link Republic Dropship with AT-OT Walker to order it for £166.35 before LEGO see the error of their ways and increase the price.

Note: ordering through the links above helps me to run this website. If you like what I do, please show your support!

By in United States,

It's just way too expensive. Great set otherwise.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Wow, this set looks awesome. It is just so cool. But a little expensive. I guess that I had better start saving up.

Gravatar
By in United States,

This looks really cool but really expensive, better start saving up

Gravatar
By in United States,

See, I have all of my family in the UK so I have like 135 pounds, so I may exchange to get this set!

Gravatar
By in United States,

FINALLY THEY HAVE IT! CANT WAIT TO GET IT FOR MY BIRTHDAY!

Gravatar
By in N/A,

Wow that looks SUH-WEET! It is so expensive though. $350.00.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Too expensive! I gonna get the mon calamari instead because I'm tight on money.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Eh.. Think I'm gonna sit this one out. Hopefully it pulls off a Twilight and people don't buy it so it goes 50% off!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Maybe an interesting b-day present.

Gravatar
By in United Arab Emirates,

Have ordered a couple through your link, so hopefully you get a benefit from this, had placed another order earlier today and it was not available, i should have waited and saved some postage. Keep up the good work of your top web site.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Nice. Too expensive.

Gravatar
By in United States,

It's a cool set, but $250 for a bunch of plastic? I'm going to skip on this one. Maybe if they reduce the price by $ 100, but I have better ways to spend my money

Gravatar
By in United States,

250 dollars for this? If it was 125, I would probably get it.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Personally, I think its awesome, but 250 is obscene. I'll just wait a year to when it drops to 150. ;)

Gravatar
By in United States,

Yeah for $250 there should be a dozen more minifigures.

Gravatar
By in United States,

getting it at the lego store at lego land this summer cant wait

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I wouldn't buy it. It looks ugly, and comes with only clone troopers.

You're better off saving for the Home One later this year, or the Battle of Endor set later this year.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I too think this set looks great, but is way over-priced. For $200 I'd do it, even though that's still over-priced. But $250? Ouch.

edit:
Now that I know that using the Lego shop portals on the home page helps this site, I'll be doing all my shopping using that link.

By in Finland,

What sense does it make to bundle these 2 large sets into one? They are clearly 2 separate models...

Gravatar
By in United States,

"$250? We could almost buy our own ship with that!"

Gravatar
By in United States,

This is the only Star Wars set I've been interested in for some time, but after some thought I decided not to buy it. $250 is ridiculous, and I don't like it THAT much.

Gravatar
By in United Arab Emirates,

not buying seems to be the sentiment. so let's all of us brick setters unite and do just that!
hopefully by us doing that lego will lower their price.

Gravatar
By in Finland,

LEGO prices are not flexible, they don't just change depending on how many people buy a set :) They are mostly based on the production costs, not the demand (which instead has an effect on how many copies of a set are produced). However, it will probably be on sale from S@H for 2/3 or even 1/2 its price just before its discontinuation, sometime in a couple of years, you just need to wait and be quick at grabbing the few last copies.

The set is expensive because it's huge. In my opinion it's just very odd that they put 2 large models together. They would have made perfect sense in separate boxes, maybe 125$ each. People who wanted both would have bought both, and people who wanted only one would have bought just that one. But now, probably most of the people who want only one would not buy the set at all.

Imagine if they put both the deluxe cargo train (good) and the passenger train (bad) in the same package... But also two good sets together, for example Green Grocer + Cafe Corner = 300$. Fantastic sets both, but spending 300$ at once doesn't just feel right for some customers.

>>What sense does it make to bundle these 2 large sets into one? They are clearly 2 separate models...

Except they're not, they combine together: the gunship can pick up and airlift the ground walker. It makes sense that they're packaged together because of that.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Reluctantly, I went ahead and bought one today.

I suspect a short run of these because high priced lego sets like this are priced high because of the economies of scale meaning they don't manufacture enough to sell at a low enough price to cover the production cost. They raise the price and keep the run short, plus there is the cost of license fees to Lucas.

Don't expect a discount, it will be a collector's item. (remember the Giant Chess Set).

Get it in 09' if you can

Gravatar
By in United States,

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too expensive. I have to wait for it to go on sale! :(

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Man i want it but i just can't afford it, but it IS worth the price.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I'd have packaged them seperately... the dropship is supposed to also be compatible with the 7675 AT-TE, and I'd guess would sell for people who want that combo, but not the AT-OT (which I think looks too 'mini-fig' and not 'Star Wars' enough)

Gravatar
By in United States,

I really don't see much potential for playability in such a huge set, and that is one of the most important factors for me. It comes with no Seperatist forces (since it's at least $50 overpriced, the could have at least thrown in a spider droid and those troops that come with the hailfire droid set), and it looks bulky yet fragile, something my cats would destroy. I also think that it is supremely tacky that the AT-OT doesn't have a roof, and these vehicles can't play too huge a role in any SW story (any that I will acknowledge the existence of, anyway. SWCW does not exist in my universe).

If I had $250, I would spend it at LEGO, but not on this set. Probably I would spend it on SPIII and Indiana Jones.

Edit: okay, I lied. I would save 100 dollars for the endor playset.

Gravatar
By in Mexico,

wow this set looks awesome specially for the drop ship, the only bad thing is that im pretty sure that is gona be kind of overpriced.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I agree, this set was flashed in ep III, but not emphasized. The dropship was in the Clone Wars movie but it was a different color. The playabitily seems lacking. It doesn't look like a minifig set to me. Lego should either slash the price on this sucker or place it as a toys r us exclusive for 150. I doubt this set will sell as much as suspected.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I WILL get it (notice the word 'will')

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

@18000pieces

The AT-OT is a star wars vehicle, not from the clone wars though. And if you're going to complain about the high price, just don't bother. We don't want to know what you'd spend 250$ on. Post something that'll be useful for use.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@1800pieces:
The new Star Destroyer set and the Mon Calmari Cruiser might also be worth saving up for.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Int the star wars universe the AT-OT doesn't have a roof!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Does any one have this? Please answer.

Gravatar
By in United Arab Emirates,

I have ordered 2 and should get them on friday

Gravatar
By in United States,

Can't wait to get this one. I actually DO believe that money grows on trees, and have subsequently planted pennies in the back yard to pay for this stinkin' LEGO habit of mine. Until then, I have been scrapping together some cash just for this set. It is going to be huge and beautiful, and I cannot wait to get my hands on it. It will be Wizard!!! HAHA!! Oh Anakin, you silly little bowl-haircut blond boy.

Gravatar
By in Brazil,

This set is awesome. But expensive. I already got the Medieval Market Village, and now they came with this? I need save money. And maybe I will only get a set from UK next year, so I hope this still in S@H for 2010, as it is very hard to appear an exclusive being sold in my country (and even harder to appear an exclusive that costs $249,99).

Gravatar
By in United States,

It'll probably go on sale in July, or December... I can't know which, but it will be a LOT less expensive.

Gravatar
By in United States,

With everyone that wants this set but thinks it's too expensive, they would probably sell more if they lowered it to $200, a more reasonable price.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I know this is off topic but did anyone in the US get the garbage truck brickmaster set yet? I think my subscription expireed and I really don't want to miss a set! Please post a comment to let me know!

Thanks-
southpaw

Gravatar
By in United States,

I really really want this set also. I can afford it , but like everyone else I feel it is over priced. Hopefully it does not move very well and they will lower the price?

I am in USA Southpaw, we got the Brickmaster garbarge truck about 2 weeks ago.

Gravatar
By in United States,

i think they should have put the two models separate. If the LAAT works with the AT-OT and the AT-TE, they would do a bit better separating the two ships.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I'm sorry to say this. But I think its a bit too popular considering its overprice.
Right now, Its a top seller at number 7 for Canada and number 21 for USA....

They usually don't have sales on items that sell in their top sellers.

Gravatar
By in United States,

they said it was now coming out April 29!!!!!!!!!!! wat's that about!!!???

Gravatar
By in United Arab Emirates,

It seems to me that everyone complains about the prices of all lego sets, lets face it, none of them are cheap,. But moaning about them being expensive is not going to change the price, after all Lego needs to make a profit or else they will not be in business. I got my 10195 today, and its worth every hard earned penny (or cent for the Americans).

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Received mine today, just in time for my birthday on Sunday :-)

Hopefully I'll get to open and start building it later!

Gravatar
By in United States,

@keithkram:
we have pennies here, too. :)

I normally don't have much of a problem with the price of Lego sets, but the Star Wars ones seem disproportionate compared to their other sets (usually it's about $10 per 100 pieces in the US), but I would guess that's because of the SW license. This one in particular seems a bit out of whack with that, but I also remember balking at the 5000 piece Falcon too because of the price, but it was also worth every penny/cent. :)

@Huw:
Happy birthday mate.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Alright! I ordered mine today, and I can't wait. But the orders going to take 5-6 days.....5-6 very long days.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I want this set really bad! The problem is, its too expensive! =(

Gravatar
By in United States,

were is everyone getting theirs?

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

@goengar:

from Shop at home (The lego Website) or a lego shop. It's a Lego exclusive, no other store sells these.
