I wonder what the deal is with this set? Presumably it's going to be limited to specific retailers and brand stores. 21 comments on this article By Cult_Of_Skaro in United States, 22 May 2012 07:14This is definitely one I'm going to pass on. You'd think that they'd at least attempt to use some form of SNOT. By CapnRex101 in United Kingdom, 22 May 2012 07:27The model doesn't look all that great, but just look at Pre Vizsla, lovely figure by the looks of it. Still waiting on Palpatine's Arrest though... By ereiamjh in United Kingdom, 22 May 2012 08:43Is there really a character in the Clone Wars called Pre Vizla? Are they running out of ideas or something? Can we look forward in future seasons to characters called Ren Derrin and See Jee-Ay? By Kliq in United States, 22 May 2012 08:51^^^It's a shame that we live in a time when people are embarassed to show their studs. :[I think it is a very attractive ship. :] By CCC in France, 22 May 2012 08:52I always thought there should be a bad robot called 0E1 in SW. PS. That is a nought, not an oh. And obviously doesn't work if you say zero instead. By xowainx in United Kingdom, 22 May 2012 09:13Can't wait to see the underside of those wings, as going on past experience, i'm sure lego have used all the most advanced building techniques to make them look as beautiful as possible. By The_Rizulli in United States, 22 May 2012 12:50I'm with Kliq on this one. Seems like people are becoming increasingly snobby about SNOT; nothing wrong with being studly. Personal preference I guess. Or just nostalgia for the way sets used to be.Either way, count me in for this one; looks suitably aggressive and fun to swoosh, with useful plates and parts for MOCing afterwards. By damonae in United States, 22 May 2012 13:45I attempted a Madelorian shuttle last fall for my son - his favorite character is Pre Vizsla - This is much better than the junk I made, would have liked to see darker colors though on this though, but the Pre Vizsla fig is excellent. I agree with the sentiments regarding SNOT and offical Lego releases - those tchniques are good for MOCs, but let's remember these are meant to be toys for kids first, collectibles second! By zjygkmatt in United States, 22 May 2012 13:47If they worried about SNOT on every set, I'm sure they would cost more than they already do. By PaulTR in United States, 22 May 2012 14:31Blech. That's one ugly ship. I'm getting very sick and tired of all these shabby-looking Clone Wars vehicles... By Lego K in United Kingdom, 22 May 2012 16:01Not sure why some people don't like the look of it, with the wings flipped this way round (compared to the packaging) and its colour scheme its actually giving me vibes of Konami's Vic Viper ship. I really like it.Maybe its a "marmite" design? By aquafreak125 in United Kingdom, 22 May 2012 16:36In my opinion the model actually looks great, I like the design and the fact that it'll be $40 (So £40) means I'm picking it up.@Lego K, that's a great way to put it-you either love it or hate it! :-) By tenfootgerbil in United Kingdom, 22 May 2012 16:55This looks sweet- the Mandalorians in the show are some of the best bits. Bit of an update on the classic space style of ship too. By BlackFalconBirdman in United States, 22 May 2012 18:26Although I'm not SNOT-y (studs are fine), I'm not a big fan of this ship because it seems a little too big. The design looks ok and might be swoosh-able, but it seems quite cumbersome and probably requires both hands. Such a shame since I'm sure we'd like to use it in chases, battles, etc.I'm glad they continued the Mandelorian-theme (I would be a little disappointed if my troops had no leader) and the figure looks nice, but I would have preferred a smaller ship (same opinion on T-6 shuttle). By Ypres in Canada, 22 May 2012 18:30It's a great model and I can't wait to buy it when it's on sale. I only wish some of my fellow AFOLs actually had some taste when it comes to Starwars models... not to mention a quality TV series. Some of you need to realise Starwars is a Universe... not six movies and a bunch of fan fiction. Clone wars covers some of the Starwars politics far better than the movies even dared to touch upon. By season three it's really a series which switches its target audience to teen-adults. Just because most of you boycott Clone Wars TV series doesn't mean you can vent that into anger towards the Lego sets. My god, some even have the nerve to insult these sets while acting like retro themes (Blacktron, etc) are the greatest thing since sliced bread! By Brickman193 in Australia, 22 May 2012 18:40Glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks it looks awful, even by Clone Wars standards... By legomatt in United Kingdom, 22 May 2012 20:53@Ypres: Star Wars; I'm not sure it's even six movies, to be honest. LOL :o)I've not seen the TV shows properly (no issue with them, just never on when i'm about). That aside, I like the Mando leader in this set, but not enough to buy the set (it has no iconic in-universe meaning for me). As a lego set, the ship looks very thin, and not worth £40. By Nightshroud99 in Canada, 22 May 2012 22:02I think this set looks great! Who care's if the snot is minimal, this kind of feels like a classic space ship. By LegoKitfisto15 in United States, 23 May 2012 00:09^I agree 'Shroud, the set really does have that classic spaceship feel. I really like it because it will be in season 5 and has been seen frequently in previous seasons. By bionicle212 in United States, 24 May 2012 14:29does anyone know if vizsla's blade is black or if it's sorta see through like the cocpit? By Brickmeister1138 in United States, 25 May 2012 00:15The model appears to be an excellent rendition of the Kom'rk Class starfighter Vizsla uses in the series (see image at Wookiepedia (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Kom%27rk-class_fighter/transport)). I am hoping that the wings rotate around both axes as they can in in the series: if so, this model would have to have a nifty rotation mechanism on the interior.Edit: Okay, I just saw the Toyfair Youtube video on the ship, and it can rotate on both axes, this ship is nice.
