By in United Kingdom,

As long as the diver is an old style diver with a huge helmet I am very happy with this list!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The source was eurobricks I believe

Gravatar
By in Australia,

"Ancient Thespis"

If by this they mean a classical Greek theatre actor (it is pretty oddly worded), I am very, very okay with this.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I am so excited about the Conquistador! The Evil Female Alien sounds interesting as well.

Gravatar
By in Slovenia,

Dj yes ! a must for me. as for the others i'll just wait how they turn out :)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Are these 100% offical? If these a true, I will have to get a load of the Coquistadors for my empty Spanish ship, and some Red Cherleaders to support my 60 strong Fire squad.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I've given up really pursuing these minifigs because of the stupid blind packaging. Has this turned anyone off to the minifigs? If so, what's the best source to get the ones you want, Bricklink or eBay?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

^ ebay

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Dixondog - If you look at the back page of the lego club magazine, there's a picture of the pirate captain

Gravatar
By in United States,

These are horrible except for the evil robot. Series 3 and 6 had some interesting figures, as well as series 1, but I think TLG has run out of ideas for minifigs, especially since there "need" to be 16 per series

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

there is a picture of a pirate with a golden cutluss from series 8 at the back of the latest lego club magazine!

By in Finland,

Original source is this Czech toy shop: http://www.babytoy.cz/lego-minifigurky-8-serie.html (cf. Ojik's EB post: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=65355&view=findpost&p=1312817)

Football player is almost certainly another soccer player, unless the list is American in origin and has been translated into Czech badly, as pretty few people outside the US would call American football player just "footballer".

Trader is intresting, as the Czech word could mean anything from a merchant to a businessman.

I think it's due time we finally get a good Father Christmas. Fairy, concquistador, pirate (though I did find the picture slightly lacklustre), ancient thespis (strange choice of name indeed, maybe because of translation?) are certainly interesting.

I wonder how the vampire is going to differentiate from the one from Series 2 and Monster Fighters theme. A sparkling Twilight vampire? That would definitely sell well to a certain demographic, if not to others... :P

Gravatar
By in Czech Republic,

I was the one who came with that list and posted it in the forum. I didn't have enough time to share it on Eurobricks but someone did it for me. They were asking for source, so I provided it. Now it's Brickset's turn - I quoted my sources here, so please check out the forum.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Thank you everyone :)

Gravatar
By in United States,

Seems like a good list, but I wonder what the vampire will be like...

Gravatar
By in United States,

Two new historical Minifigs = awesome
I'm more hopeful now that the "Islanders" will get a Collectible Minifig remake.

Gravatar
By in Philippines,

With all the historic figures seeing the light of day in brick form, I do wonder if TLG is cooking up a LEGO civilizations type of theme on its own, not really relying on just the architecture stuff?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I really hate to sound negative, but amongst the few unique minifigures there's the same old DJ/Vampire/Alien/Popstar/Etc. minifigures we get every series. Lego is really running out of ideas now.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Well I am really disappointed with this selection. It seems really unimaginative. And such a let down after series 7 which was pretty fantastic with some great and unusual figures. And I really agree with the comment above that its standard lego minifigures - diver - every water set ever, Vampire - we already had this in series 2! and monster fighters to come. Football player - series 4! Cheerleader - series 1! Pirate - well that would be the pirate sets then. Skier - has already been in a series (or am I wrong - is that snowboarder?) but seems uninventive anyway and boring.

Conquistador, alien and robot (although we have seen this in series 1 already) are the only ones i am slightly interested in.

What a shame when there are so many brilliant ideas Lego could have put out in this series - and there is no excuse for lack of imagination and not keeping this range ahead of its game.

Poor.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Don't we already have most of these...LEGO, get your act together....

Gravatar
By in United States,

Unless this is fake. Which it may be.

Who knows, maybe LEGO is running out of ideas. They've already gotten most of the action heroes, villians, and medical occupations down.....I am worried. They are planning to end it at Series 14 or 15. I don't want them to have "Desk Job Worker" as a figure.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@Legolover9531: Female. I don't speak Czech and will gladly defer to anyone who does, but in most Slavic languages ending a noun in 'a' (or 'ka') feminises it. So it looks like we're talking about a bride for the vampire in Series 2. I'm guessing she will be fairly similar to the Monster Hunters vampiress, but that is pure conjecture.

Gravatar
By in Israel,

Hm, some of these sound sort of unlikely... I'm doubting the authenticity honestly :/

Until we get pictures...

I wonder if this is the last series? (because of the choice of the color black)

Gravatar
By in Canada,

... Not a very original list if you ask me. Most just sound like generic re-makes that I could've thought of myself.

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

Glad there's going to be a figure sporting a Bavarian costume aka lederhosen, that should be cool. And i would say that there's a good chance of the football player being of the American football variety (hopefully - but even if it's a soccer player that'd be brilliant too because it would provide an alternative team for series 4 players to play against). A lot of negative comments here - come on people, these aren't even official, and even if they are real, they will probably be awesome, regardless of re-hashes. It'd be great to have an alternate skier to add to alpine-themed creations, and the dj could go very nicely with the rapper, the evil female alien fighting the other aliens or teaming up with the space villain... endless possibilities. :)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Some of these figures sound cool, and if they have the Lego sense of humour that'll make them great additions to my collection

Gravatar
By in Canada,

@nerfman1234: LOL! Desk job worker. That's a good one. Where did you hear they'll be ending the theme at series 14 or 15?

The mini-figure list for series 8 is lackluster. We've already seen a few robots and aliens in the CMF theme. On top of that, Alien Conquest provided another avenue for getting alien mini-figures.

The Ancient Thespis sounds intriguing but I would need to see photos before considering getting it. The Fairy sounds interesting since it's something that hasn't been done before but it's not something I'd buy.

LEGO has already released many conquistador-type figures such as gladiators and roman soldiers. They're also hard to get since those are the ones that tend to be cherry picked out of the boxes. It probably explains why I'm not enthusiastic about this particular mini-figure.

The gold cutlass sounds cool but that doesn't give me a reason to try and get the pirate captain since I have many of those from the pirate theme.

I'm assuming the diver will be a female diver since we got a male one in an earlier CMF series. Same goes for the Vampire. I'm planning on getting the Haunted House which has a female vampire so there's no need to duplicate that by buying series 8. The football player, skier, DJ and cowgirl will also probably be female figures since we received male ones in earlier series'.

Series one had a blue cheerleader. Do we really need a red one? Maybe if it was a cheerman. Santa Clause usually comes with the City Christmas Advent calendars. If you weren't willing to overpay for those and want a Santa mini-figure here's an affordable chance at getting one.

Maybe the trader is a stock broker? Maybe series 9 can have an insurance salesman or a banker? That will pave the way for, as nerman1234 suggests, a desk job worker in series 15. LOL!

Gravatar
By in Poland,

@Zander - Usually yes, ending "a" and "ka" is female form, but here this list is described in accusative (as all list in slavic languages) and female form should end "e" or "ke". The Vampire may be a man.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Wow.. From not seeing the pics and just seeing the list, what a yawner of a series....
Also, what do they mean by 'football player' do they mean American Football player? Or another soccer player?
Santa???? Color me surprised, but I thought that Advent calendar would account for that one...
Vampire? We already have a vampire do we not and I believe there is a female vampire (and vampire) in Monster hunters...
Oh boy another skier....
Ugh, y'know it is almost like LEGO 'phoned' this one in...
Yea I know I know some of these are OK, like the Cheerleader and Skier since they were in earlier series BUT you can still easily find those in the second hand market for decent prices if you really want them..
It just seems like LEGO is not even trying with this set, and that they just needed to put something out...
I really hope this means the end of the CMF line...
There are good ideas for figures, but it seem like LEGO is ignoring them.
I mean heck they should have at least done the Wolf in grandma's clothing since they did little red riding hood last series.
I'm sure everyone here can think of at least 3 unique figures they have yet to do:
Expectant mother (with a LEGO belly piece that fits either over the neck or at the hips)
Basketball player.
Wolf in grandmother's clothing (since Little Red Riding hood was done)
Guy on Stilts
Hospital patient
Hospital doctor (heck they have the nurse and the surgeon)

Heck even figures that could be redone but are not:
Female soccer player (yeah, reaching a bit, but you figure since many girls also play soccer that would be a good idea, maybe that is the next 'football player')
Zombie (yeah in MH, but since they seem open to do ANOTHER vampire that they would make either a female zombie or just another one)

I'm sure there are other Ideas that are out there and people can come up with better than this series 8 list.

Gravatar
By in United States,

They seem like a lot of rehashes, but I'll wait to see them before I judge them. They sound a lot like series 3 to me, they seem weird, but ended up being good either way.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Over at Eurobricks we are all trying to debate if this is a real list in the first place. I cheacked out the website this list is from, and they have this description of the figs and they already have them on pre-order, but not a single picture of any of them? That sounds fishy to me.... And I personally hope this isn't the real list because none of these sound that great (which is a bummer since Lego has kept this so tightly under wraps I was expecting some pretty cool figs), but perhaps once we get an official pic I will change my mind...

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I hope it means american football player. But aside from that and a few others they sound generic oh well.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Until the pictures come I can't really judge how good or bad they will be.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I hope Santa is green instead of his sponsor colour red (coca cola)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

It would be great if the 'enemy robot' could have caterpillar tracks for feet, rather than be something very similar to the series 1 robot. I would have thought that the football player would be American Football as this seems like a very obvious choice for a figure.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Until I see something official from LEGO, I will not make an opinion. Some of you sound like you were just waiting to have something to complain about.

By the way, Gladiators, Roman Soldiers, and Conqistados are all very different.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Several of these should interesting to me, Santa, Fairy, Evil Female Alien, Cowgirl, Red Cheerleader (don't have any series 1), and Ancient Thespis.

I would have liked a few more unique figures. These are some that I'd love to see.
Mermaid
Medusa
Person in Penguin Costume
Greek Goddess
Male Cheerleader
50's Girl in Poodle Skirt

Gravatar
By in Israel,

@Jacob Wilson - Obviously you don't know what a real football player is :P That was a soccer player!

Gravatar
By in United States,

All of you complaining now will be gushing with enthusiasm and sentiments akin to "Must buy them all!! Need multiples of X, Y, and Z" come picture-release time. Just a hunch on my part, based on previous reactions. Me, I stopped collecting the darn things. I still don't feel comfortable with the fact that all components are made in China and what that means for long-term quality. Sure, they look awesome now, but what about in ten years?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Well went to the website, I got it better translated.... it's a businessman, not a trader.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@slave2leia-I good call on the medusa minifigure. That would be awesome!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Tough call. I figure the football player is either an American football player using something similar to the Hockey Player getup, or it's like the Lionel Messi one they did with one of the older series. Hopefully they at least give him a soccer ball this time. If you have Lego soccer from maybe 12 years ago, you could have put together an Argentina team & if this one is also football, maybe have a full on international match. lol

As for hte rehash... I think with the exception of the cheerleader, the others could be evening out the genders. For instance, the skier is probably female, the vampire may be female, etc. They may not just list it like they did the alien because... well... what the heck is a 'female' alien supposed to look like anyway?

Gravatar
By in United States,

I didn't see the Pirate on the new Club Magazine where is it?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Boy you said it, Mayorca. When the pics are released you all will be whooping it up. I have been more than pleasantly surprised by all the series minifigs so far. Sur some of them are a little ho-hum, but the vast majority have been fantastic, culminating in the Space Marine which is my favorite so far.

I hope the pics release soon. Can't wait!!!

Gravatar
By in Germany,

The pirate is in the last lange where they announce new topics for the next issue

Gravatar
By in United States,

^^ Haha, neither am I, and either way I prefer Baseball and Basketball.

But then again, who misses the Super Bowl over here in the states'? Everyone who ISN'T a fan watches it! :P

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Has anyone else got to the point with the Collectables that you buy them because you ' have ' to as a collector and not necessarily because you want to?
Apart from the Conquistador and possibly the Bavarian Boy ( depending on how good he looks ), these do nothing for me. A few of the choices i can understand, we haven't had a father Xmas or a Fairy yet which are suitable for collectables.
I don't really get Evil Female Alien. Where has anyone ever seen one of those?
Footballer is obviously American Footballer as everyone ouside the U.K. insists on calling the real football 'soccer ' as mentioned before.
They seem to be going with the theory that every male/female figure needs a female/male equivalent so i'm guessing in the future we'll see: Mrs Claus, Male Fairy, Lizard Suit Woman, Hazmat Girl, Flamenco man.
I wouldn't mind a female Elf to be fair though, Male Statue of Liberty would be interesting!!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

@xcrossx There is no such thing as a male statue of liberty -____-
This set overall looks nice though, but as usual I won't say anything until I see photos of the mini figures.
Some figures I would enjoy seeing are though as someone said Medusa or a Zeus, Hercules and hopefully some new ideas I have
Army soldier (any soldier would do)
Male Doctor with coat
Gangster (thugish tough like gang member)
Politician
Warrior
Shaman
These are just some idea I came up with, but still though this set at the moment looks great!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I am surprised (maybe not) to see so much negativity towards this series before we even see what they look like. For one, this is based on a translation of what may or may not be a reliable source. Also, a lot of these could be executed in many different ways. The diver for example could be one of my least favorates if it is like the series one diver or an olympic diver, but if it is a classic diver with the big metal helmet then it could be one of my favorites.

On the other hand the pirate captain, the one I did see, reminds me of the Viking or the Forestman. It will be nice for people who do not have one but kind of underwhelming for those who have previous versions that are quite similar.

I am still really exicited to see these and then I can start to make judgements. I think lego should release a photo now whether this list was intended to be released or not. Negativity grows rather quickly on the internet.

Gravatar
By in United States,

^^ If you're talking about a post-WWII-type soldier, that's never going to happen.

I think the prospects for interesting Collectible Minifigs is nearly limitless. From the historical Minifig point of view alone, there's tons of cultures that haven't even been touched: China, Russia, Arabs, the Ottoman Empire, Polynesians, the early American colonies, the Mongols, the entire cultural history of the African continent, etc. I'm kind of loosely hopeful that Southeast Asia will make a showing at some point in the future given that they've opened up a Legoland in Malaysia. Lots of different cultures to choose from: the Siamese, the Khmer, the Viet, the Majapahit, the Sri Vijaya, and on and on and on...

Gravatar
By in United States,

"If you're talking about a post-WWII-type soldier, that's never going to happen."

Unlikely, but I wouldn't say never. Lego has made a lot of things based on licenses that I would have thought we would never see. Indiana Jones gave us a lot of military stuff and Lord of the Rings is quite violent for a lego license. Maybe we will see Saving Private Ryan in 2013....

Seriously, though, I would love to see lego create another brand for older fans like they have duplo for the younger fans. I wouldn't expect anything too violent or adult themed but maybe some things aimed more at older teens and adults.

Gravatar
By in United States,

yes, finally a conquistador. I've been waiting for that since they came out with the aztec warrior

Gravatar
By in United States,

I can see the final series....

Boy
Girl
Father
Mother
Amusement Park Worker
Desk Job Guy
Potato Suit Guy
Superhero
Warrior
Alien man
Lawn Mower
and then that's it, because they're out of ideas

Gravatar
By in United States,

Still can't find the Pirate in the Club Magazine!

Gravatar
By in United States,

@Jacob Wilson:

Saving Private Ryan is a violent WWII movie, but I was only joking about Lego loosening their restrictions that much. I would never expect lego to get a Saving Private Ryan license, even if they had a line aimed at older fans.

@wertyjj:

The picture is in the Eurobricks series 8 thread:

By in Denmark,

^^Page 23, right side, middle.
In the danish version anyway...

Gravatar
By in United States,

Already had a Diver and a Vampire, two other robots and skier in series 1-7. Not impressed with this list so far, even if there is a different color of cheerleader, or a 'football' (another soccer?) player. The others will have to be pretty amazing to keep my interest piqued.

Gravatar
By in Norway,

Why so early??? They are producing the CMF series like crazy. It is like one month since the series 7 hit the shelves and we are already looking towards new sets. This is way too fast for me and I dont like it. 8 series produced in two and a half years. Up to 2 series per year would be just enough for me. For example I still would like to get some figs from series 5 but now it is more or less gone as well as serie 6, because here we go we have serie 7! ...but not anymore, serie 8 is coming tomorrow.... Doing like this and CMF theme will die out soon being out of ideas.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I hope it's an American football player. That's what we need--a REAL football player. Haha ;)

Gravatar
By in United States,

i have the series 2 vampire. i'm anxious to see what the series 8 one will look like.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I think even though there are some repeats the fact that Lego has made the last few repeats looked fantastic makes me excited to see the pictures before I make a judgment. Medusa is still one I have my fingers crossed for..... maybe in series 9.

Gravatar
By in United States,

They really need to slow down.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Glad I just finished series 6, looking forward to what they come up with.

Gravatar
By in United States,

It seems the creativity has slowed. These are exactly as requested in the forums, however. Very much pairs or opposite genders of previous figures.

Gravatar
By in Denmark,

@underwaterhunter Who's Alexandre Bourdon?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

^He's a lego designer, so a lot of his portfolio ideas have found their way into actual sets/figs. If you look through his stuff it's quite amazing how many designs have been produced, and exciting to think that some of the rest might become real as well!

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Thanks for the answer, that explains a lot. :)

We can probably glimpse here what the Series 8 female Vampire might look like, as well as the fairy.

I would like to see the basketball player, captain, bum, caesar, Einstein and gaul being made.

As much as I want to see the angel and devil figures, I doubt Lego would produce them - they don't do religious themes.

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

^^ .. he is a Lego designer now...It seems this part of a portfolio of his you can find on the net is something he made in order to get hired by TLG.
There can be found other sketches by him (sorry, dont have a link right now) where you can see he is a bit the man behind not only the swamp thing and a lot of the later series of minifigs, but in fact most of the monster fighters line too.. his sketch of e.g. Dracs castle is very similar to how it finally turned out..

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Looks like a great Series to me, can't really pick out many faults.

The 'Ancient Thespis' will likely be some sort of entertainer for the Roman empire (like Tony Curtis in the film Spartacus) who was typically there to perform tricks or act. Likewise, the 'Conquistador' will be a Spanish solider from many centuries later.

'Enemy Robot' is a bit of a surprise since we've already had old and new themes for the previous robots, so I'll be interested to see how TLG make this guy look intimidating. I'll bet on it being quite comical.

I'm actually looking most forward to the 'Diver', because logic would suggest that since we've had a modern diver with scuba equipment, this minifig may feature a traditional brass 'bubble' helmet and brown suit. Could look really fun!

'Santa Claus' will be good as it's about time he had a revision. Usually these were hard to find, so this is definitely welcome with some added detail.

The 'Fairy' and 'Red Cheerleader' obviously appeals to a female audience... 'Football Player' has to be from the American sport (not soccer)... 'Trader' will be a person from a market... 'Skier' is kind of generic to be honest and a bit disappointing... DJ will likely be a modern update of the previous Afro guy from either Series 1/2...

'Boy in Bavarian costume' just reminds me of The Sound of Music (i.e - not a good thing)

'Cowgirl' will obviously be followed by a Cowboy in Series 9.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I've been a fan starting with series 2 (I missed series one by a few weeks) and 2 things Lego needs to do are:

1. Slow down. The stores are still putting out full cases of series 5, 6 and 7.

2. Realize that if they keep going to the well too often (with the male and female counterparts to each figure) that the fans are going to stop supporting.

I'm all down for the Thespian, Bavarian Boy , Trader (which I'm hoping is a stock broker :D), Fairy and Football player (as long as it's an American football player and NOT a female soccer player).

But the rest (and I hope I'm wrong) all sound like re-colors or gender updates.

Cowgirl - Series 1 had a cow boy
Skier - Was a Male skier in series 2
Enemy Robot - I imagine a repaint - reuse of parts of the 2 robots and the cyborg we have
DJ - Also, will be a re-hash of the one we had in series 3 (or was it 4? the guy with the gold/black hat and mic)
Pirate Captain - Will be from the PotC line
Female Alien - I imagine a repaint
Vampire - I imagine a female vampire
Diver - Female version of Series 1 with pink and or purple accessories
Cheerleader - straight repaint of series 1

Way too many been there and done that's for me to be overly excited about. I will reserve judgement for pics, but I'm not feeling psyched about this wave :\

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

> yes, finally a conquistador. I've been waiting for that since they came out with the aztec warrior

They already have a number of conquistadors available.

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

There's a lot of bashing of this series over names translated from czeckian wich were probably translated from english to start with so Im pretty sure that some of them are just kind of accurate.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I created the Forum topic CMF 8 in anticipation for their release - now that we have some rumors - here are my thoughts - I have starred the one's I predicted correctly.

Ancient Thespis - Sounds neat, maybe he will be holding a new skull mold
Pirate Captain - I don't like seeing rehashes of previous themes/CMF - so I am not excited for this one
Conquistador - This has the potential to be cool - need to see a picture before I form an opinion
Enemy Robot - Another robot/cyborg type character - these are getting redundant
Evil Female Alien - ditto above - another alien - wohooo - SYKE!
*Diver - If this is of the old fashioned variety - I will be very pleased
Vampire - You have to be joking - how many vampires can we make?
Fairy - I guess this one is for the girlies - not too excited about it
*Football Player - If this is of the American variety - then I'm excited - I would still take a Euro Footballer if he actually comes with a Football
Trader - I assume this is a business type person (maybe a stock trader) - has the potential to be cool
*Skier - Probably female - so not very excited
Red Cheerleader - lame lame lame lame - haha - one is bad enough
*Santa Claus - This better not be the same old santa we are always given (the skinny one) - Santa is not skinny!
Boy in Bavarian costume - Very excited about this one!!!
DJ - headphones??!!! - that would make this DJ worthwhile
Cowgirl - I pray that this is a girl in a Cow costume - but it probably isn't - so I am a little let down by this one as well

Summary - Excited for a couple of these figs (minus the rehashes and female figs) - but I will still pick up all of them..

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Why is everyone so disappointed? We've got a very roughly translated list, that's all. When you see final pictures you might all take back your comments.

Anyway, I'm really excited about this series. Fairy is most interesting, and one I've been waiting for. I hope she's got a nice dress print and wings. Cowgirl could be good too, I hope they use the Angelica mould in a new colour. Vampire could be interesting... I didn't get the original, so even if it's similar I won't mind. Red cheerleader will be great for army builders, and I'll be happy as long as she's got newly coloured/moulded hair and nice prints.

Can't wait for more news!

Gravatar
By in United States,

A collectible minifigure set that I wouldn't mind in the next series is that the whole entire set is flesh colored legos, I would get the whole set.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

My thoughts on the series...
Greek actor: People always complain about there being no greek theme, maybe he will have different heads like S2s Mime.
Pirate Captain: Looks like Capitan Hook, and perhaps a hint at a new Pirate theme?
Conquistador: One of the best, hope he has the old breast plate and helmet.
Enemy Robot: Sounds like a repait, but I have high hopes.
Evil Female Alien: What!!!!???? What is she, an Orion Slave girl? Don't see how that one will work...
Diver: I hope he has an old "Bucket" helmet, if it does I will have to buy it just because it reminds me of my old Action Man.
Vampire: Don't see how this one will work with so many Vampires on the market already.
Fairy: Sounds like a reuse for the wings from Star Wars.
Football Player: I think it might be a female footballer to attract girls who are not intrested in Friends, but intrested ethier way.
Trader: Sounds intresting, has lots of possibilitys.
Skier: Another remake? Where am I going to put all these!!??
Red Cheerleader: One of the only MFs im missing, so sounds very intresting.
Santa Claus: Hope this one does him justice after 14 years or so.
Boy in Bavarian costume: An intresting choice.
DJ: Sounds like a 90s take on are Saturday night fever guy from S2.
Cowgirl: Just thinking of this figure the other day, sounds a good figure for the Modular Western Town or the Western theme.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@Gregorovich: Exactly

We do not even know if the info was official Lego information or just some shopkeeper's quick take on some promotional image they saw. This list could be wrong or misinterpreted. Also, the list we do have could be interpreted in many ways.

I also don't get why people keep complaining about the pace of this series. If you don't want them all you don't have to buy them. It is still a lot cheaper to collect three series (48 minifigs) a year than it is to collect something like Lord of the Rings.

Gravatar
By in Taiwan,

I'm going to wait until pictures are out before I make too many assumptions. But like Modok above, I've decided I've had enough of the mystery packaging. I'm just going to buy the ones on Bricklink that I think my daughter will get a kick out of. She doesn't need Spartans/Romans/Aztecs/etc, so I'll be saving time and won't get ripped off.

I don't understand why everyone is getting angry abot 'rehashes'. I mean, I personally would love a female skier, (especially since I didn't get the S2 one), or a female Vampire. And, so long as this Cheerleader has some new accessory or hairpiece (perhaps a megaphone?!) I am fine with that too. But, to each their own I suppose.

And btw, someone over at Eurobricks says the Vampire could be a Vampire Hunter, with garlic and a wooden stake... I personally would love that, but I'm not quite sure if that's true or not. Probably just a wish list.

Has anybody noticed the change of words on the website? The trader (at least on my browser at least ) says it is now a buisnessman and the Evil female alien is an Evil alien now.

@pstrickler27: While I don't doubt that the fairy is aimed predominantly at a female audience, I'm sure there are others who will be after this one. I collect and MOC fantasy minifigures and the fairy is top of my Series 8 shopping list - and I'm male.

@lots of posters: a conquistador's helmet is called a morion.

@roguetrader1987: I'd love to get a Mountie (me being a Canuck and all)! Though I'd need to get some extra horses somewhere...

A Brit Bobby would be awesome too (he could keep the Buckingham guards company).

LOL at your series 92 though.

This list can not be real. It's a hash of everythign else. Diver? Vampire? And even if it's a female diver, vampire.... Still it's becoming like star wars... Hashed and re-hashed.
