3 for 2 at Boots in the UK

Posted by ,

Boots has a 3-for-2 offer on LEGO and a wide range of other things on at the moment. There's quite an assortment of sets available so if you've been waiting for Star Wars or Indy sets to be available at a decent price, now's the time to buy either online or in your local branch although you're unlikely to find the large sets in it.

Many shops have 3-for-2 offers on at this time of the year in the UK, to encourage people to do their Christmas shopping early, so keep an eye out at Toys R Us and Argos in the coming weeks.

Thanks to Stuart for the info.

Update 22nd Sept: In the USA, you can find a 3 for 2 sale at Toys R Us. The sale will be until 26th Sept., but it excludes Star Wars sets. I've checked a couple stores in my area and found the sale there too, so you should have luck either online or at a store location. Thanks to "andy0002" for the heads-up! -jkool

I dropped into the Boots store at Pride Park in Derby today. They had:

plenty of Star Wars Battle packs
Echo Base
Creator Street Speeder
Creator Propeller Power
City Helicopter Rescue
City Fire Truck
A couple of Duplo sets

But no Endor :(

The Boots ar Kingsway didn't have anything at all

The US TRU 3for2 sale does include Star Wars sets. It says so on their website.

The US TRU 3for2 Sale, sadly, does not include the SW sets. This is ironic seeing as how the advertisement says ALL LEGO, but I digress.

On Sunday, TRU online was indeed applying this sale to all Legos, including Star Wars. They also had several S@H only items for sale such as the Medieval Market, Merry Go Round, Cafe Corner, etc. These special items, though, gradually moved from "In Stock" to "Out of Stock" throughout the day. And the 3for2 banner fell off the Star Wars legos sometime today.

Without the Star Wars sets, it can be kind of difficult to maximize the sale as you mostly need 3 items at the same price point (unless you're buying duplicates) to get the best deal. And you obviously need to find the sets that have been marked up the least by TRU.

Over the years, though, these 3for2 sales are really the best we lego fans are going to get (33% off).

Off to likely buy me a new Creator House and City Corner. But what for the 3rd set? Hmm...

By in Sweden,

Wait, wait, wait. If you order online from Boots, does it have to be somewhere within the UK vicinity, or just anywhere in Europe?
I'd rather not make an account on a website I know nothing about just to see if they ship outside of their country.

Endor was on Boots on-line earlier in the week, but I guess they're out of stock now.

Managed to order £241 worth of Star Wars & Indy Lego (including Temple of Doom) for £169 including free delivery to store. Off to pick it up soon... Let's hope they don't bash the hell out of them, like Tesco!!
