The Holiday Season Arrives - Impulse Sets Abound Posted by brickapolis, 02 Nov 2009 22:53Santa Claus40001-1 Seasonal Christmas 2009 ©2009 LEGO GroupI'm getting reports that a sizeable variety of impulse sets are now showing up in the seasonal section of the American mega-retailer Target. Here's a Bricklist of the impulse sets involved. 18 comments on this article By LastStand in Canada, 03 Nov 2009 00:05Actually, if i recall correctly, these are also available at Toysrus at $4.99 each. By ILikePi in United States, 03 Nov 2009 00:43Thanks for the info Brickapolis! The Christmas themed sets (all of them) are already at LEGO Stores, but the mini TIE Fighter is something that I don't own and want! By Exo-brick in United States, 03 Nov 2009 08:41I thought impulse sets were $3.49; $4.99 are small sets. Still, I prefer TRU to Target, although Target has better prices. By omgbrick in Canada, 03 Nov 2009 09:56You know I was at TRU yesturday (in Canada), and they had 30008 and 30009 christmas sets for sale at $5 each. You also can get a Free Santa Claus minifig key chain; if you spend $50 or more one City/creator Lego (a lot of which was at 20% discount as well). By iabstract in United States, 03 Nov 2009 22:17The Easter and Halloween impulse sets were 3.99 at Target, so I'd expect these to be the same. I wouldn't be surprised if TRU marked that up another buck.I'll be on the lookout for the TIE Fighter. Hopefully they do this with some of those Daily Mirror specials, too.Excellent use of the Bricklist, btw. By GameOn99 in United States, 04 Nov 2009 00:17Targt has it all first, i love them...........................................no i do not work there By MasterOfPuzzles in United States, 04 Nov 2009 00:18Are they in the "seasonal" section like the Easter/Halloween impulse sets? By Zrath in United States, 04 Nov 2009 07:27 The 30008 Snowman and 30009 Christmas Tree impulse sets are available in US Toys'R'Us stores at $3.49 each.I have not seen the Ornament sets yet. Looks like I need to visit my local Target stores soon. :) By GameOn99 in United States, 04 Nov 2009 09:16MasterOfPuzzles-yeah, usually, probably near the leftover Halloween candy. By Bumblepants in United States, 06 Nov 2009 14:23Target also has several poly-bag Racers sets for $2.99 in the seasonal section By thebrickdaddy in United States, 06 Nov 2009 21:36I went to target today (I live in Detroit) and there were no polybags to be found, seasonal or lego section. :( By samuraiturtle in United States, 06 Nov 2009 22:32I was at the Fort Wayne Toy'R'Us and the only poly-bag sets I seen their are the Snowman and X-mas Tree. Plus the Target next to Toy'R'Us, I only seen two racer sets in poly-bags a red car and a black car. The racers stes cost $3 and the sets at Toy'R'Us cost $3.50. By MasterOfPuzzles in United States, 07 Nov 2009 16:13None at our Target either Racers or Star Wars. They still seemed to be setting up with Christmas seasonal stuff though so maybe next time... I did see the snowman and x-mas tree at TRU though, cheaper than I already bought them at the Lego store. By alpha 40 in United States, 07 Nov 2009 17:28I checked target and they did not have any impulse sets.Their X-mas section has barely even started to get set up.I'll check again soon, By bmwlego in United States, 08 Nov 2009 11:31Targets by me have the 3 Star Wars and 2 Racers sets (7801 and 7802). The Racers are $2.99 and look to be useful parts packs as well as pretty good little cars. By alpha 40 in United States, 08 Nov 2009 16:23I checked three local targets and still no luck. They could be at others as well............ By Yoda 56 in United States, 15 Nov 2009 14:48Nothing at my local Target.... Commenting has ended on this article.
