30019 available in New Zealand

30019 with Westpac stickersThe relatively hard-to-find polybag 30019 that I was getting excited about earlier in the week has turned up in New Zealand as part of a fund raising appeal for Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service. Westpac is a multinational financial corporation which sponsors the rescue helicopter service in New Zealand.

It has stickers attached to the bag to enable you to 'brand' the model once built.

Geoff in NZ says "The Queen Street branch in Auckland is the first to have them, although I just picked one up at the Ponsonby Rd branch."

By in Germany,

I bought one in Germany some weeks ago. From a supermarket. They had tons of these.

I love this. Not only do you get Lego, but it's raising funds for a good cause! As good as it gets, I guess. :)

snowballed and tricky brick-

I think it's a gradual roll out? Starts with the Queen St branch with the giant one, then spreads to the others. I wandered into the local branch and made them (nicely) get one sent up from Queen St in the overnight bag.

Bet you could do the same in Welly, or anywhere else in NZ...

Good luck, if it all goes horribly wrong let me know

By in New Zealand,

Thanks G - I'll try the Lambton Quay branch on Monday. After spending last week appealing to friends and family in the UK to buy The Sun it's nice to have something local to get excited about!

If anyone in NZ can pick me up a copy of this version of 30019 with the WESTPAC stickers please get in touch via my profile. I have lots of UK goodies to trade in return! :-)

An email from the bank implies that the set is only available from the branch at 79 Queen Street, Auckland and for a cost of 10 NZD each.
