It's Brick Friday!

Posted by ,

Today is 'Black Friday' in the US, which means nothing to anyone outside of north America, but it's a good excuse for LEGO to give us some decent 'Brick Friday' offers over the weekend.

In the UK:

  • 10% off all orders of £100 or more
  • Free Limited Edition Christmas set (3300014) with orders of £50 or more.
  • FREE Delivery on all orders of £25 or more.

In the USA and Canada:

  • 10% off all orders of $149 or more
  • Free Limited Edition Holiday set (3300014) with orders of $99 or more.
  • FREE Shipping on all orders of $49 or more.

There are also some 'Sales and Deals' running over the weekend on both sides of the Atlantic, with 20% discounts on some items, mostly 'Gear'. Nothing to get too excited about, but you'll find a link to all the reduced items on the landing page when you click on the banner above.

By in Spain,

I just post this in the forum but I think this is a better place to post it.

What a shame this weekend offers don´t apply in some European countries. I just call Lego costumers service to complain and they said that this decision it due to marketing reasons.

Wait a minute!

There are no physical Lego stores in Spain. So there is no way to get the Christmas set free gift.
What kind of marketing reasons is that?

I left my complain record on the phone, so anyone else in the same situation, please call and leave your complain, I think that this is the only way to change "Lego marketing reasons" for the next time.

By in Germany,

Didn't we have the same "special" just a few days ago? Why is it the same again? I don't get it. And with all these offers, why on earth should I ever buy Lego at full price again, even from Lego itself?

By in Curaçao,

Yes it is the same as last weekend, but that was only for VIPs and not publicised by the LEGO affiliate team, unlike these offers which are the same for everyone, VIP or not.

This is how it worked in Lego stores last year. At the cash till just before you pay, they hand over a Lego branded lottery-style scratchcard. (Quite a nice item, actually.) You scratch off the panel to reveal a discount of either 10%, 20% or 50%. I would love to know the probability of each score, but I got a 10.

I'm passing too. I was hoping for some 'real' sale prices!

I got 20% off the fire brigade this morning, my free Christmas set, the Xmas brickwall box and a Lego reusable shopping bag. Really pleased. I expected there to be a big line but there were about a dozen or so folk at the meadowhall branch. Lego win!

By in United States,

Whoa, what happened to all of the great deals? Very disappointed this year.

By in United States,

STAR WARS advent calendar $24.98 -- for that price I am buying one. Now to find something else for $25 to get the free shipping...

By in United States,

I was at toys r us, and there was like 200people in line. For "Black Thursday", I bet there's like 2,000,000 today.

Just a note about the 10% off. I had £20 of VIP points to use up. But this took my order below the £100 mark - however I still got 10% off, as the original ORDER was over £100! So 10% off, then £20 VIP points off AND a free Xmas set. Brilliant. It will be a merry Lego Christmas this year!

I called Lego Poland and we won't get this offer. Shame on you Lego!

The best deal for Shop.Lego.com last night was the Collectible Minifigure Series 7 & 8 for 50% off. Only deal I snagged while on the site, the rest of the discounts were dour considering those same sets will have deeer discounts later this season.

The 50% off minifigure deal was great and of course one of the first to sell out.

1 in 7 scratch card would give you 20% discount. 1 in 300 would give you 50%. I got 10% unfortunately. One guy from the store told me that they had only 2 people with the 20% (that was 1pm). One bought a keyring and the other one bought a really small set. Ridiculous! lol

By in Canada,

20% off ALL LEGO at Canadian Zellers. I believe that the discount will go up in the coming weeks.

By in United States,

Bought 2 of those huge storage bricks :) $33 is a good price for a huge brick :P

Spent £50 at the Bluewater store and got a 10% off scratchcard, plus the free sleigh set, plus a free small PAB box for use after xmas. Not a bad deal. Better than the VIP-online deal last week - since that wouldn't have qualified for the 10% off nor the PAB box. Not many AFOL sets in the shop though - MMV & Maersk train all gone.

By in Hungary,

No deals for Hungary either :( Shame on LEGO.
I really want an exclusive christmas set! But I just can't get one from LEGO. Will have to buy one marked up by BrickLinkers :(
These promotions are the only thing worth buy directly from LEGO. If Hungary is not ivolved, I keep buying offline, anyway in toy shops I can buy LEGO 10-20% cheaper than in S@H.
For example today and tomorrow 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tesco runs a promotion: 50% of any toy purchase is given back as coupons. In Hungary Tesco's prices are marked up by 10-20%, so this means around 30-40% off RRP, which is a pretty good deal. Tescos were awfully crowded this afternoon, and assumably will be tomorrow as well. Shelves of LEGO were almost empty by the time I got there, but I managed to buy an X-wing, a TIE fighter and an Uruk Hai army.
Now I have to think about what to spend my coupons on between monday and 9th of December.

Actually, I was rather pleased to see Kingdom's Joust in my local LEGO store at 20% off. That combined with the scratch off ticket for another 10% off made it a decent deal.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Lego forget The Netherlands too, indeed shame on you, Lego! And that with a lot of AFOL's here in The Netherlands!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Wish I had known about the Joust since it's not online.
