10937 Arkham Asylum review

Batman: Arkham Asylum Breakout

Arkham Asylum was revealed 'in the flesh' at an event in Portugal on Saturday. Alexolim, who built it for the display, has posted a great pictorial review over at comunidade0937.com.

It sounds like it's another 'must have' purchase for the New Year...

I thnk its a great set, but my problem is two fold. One, I am not a millionaire and cannot afford every single set that I want! And two, how do you choose which theme to "attack" for the year? Personally, I am torn between Galaxy Squad, this supposed Lone Ranger series and just plain old Horizon Express and any new eventual modular building??? There are so many choices and so little money or time to build it all...

Arkham was a must-have from the moment it was announced. Glad to see it's full of good parts, figs and techniques but I was planning on getting this anyway!

Looking at the window design, is this set designed by the same designer as #79003 ?

Excellent review by Alexolim and very informative.

Looks like a good set to get after Christmas.

This set looks awesome both in the details and the overall effect - kinda makes me glad the Star Wars sets are so disappointing so far as it means I can put all my money towards this!

Absolutely brilliant set by the looks of it then, and a great review. What with all of the Star Wars, Super Heroes and Galaxy Squad sets coming out very soon, it's a good thing my birthday is only just after Christmas!

@Calv - Good point, that fantastic window design is identical to the Unexpected Gathering set, it's nice to find these little touches which indicate the same designer.

What sort of event was it that this was revealed?

@Calv @CapnRex101 Actually the sets #10937 and #79003 weren't designed by the same designer. I designed Arkham and my colleague Bjarke Madsen designed Bag End. I started working on mine first and then he reused my idea for his model. We always do that when someone around here discovers a new and interesting way of putting the bricks together! ;)
