New images for Scala added

Rings

©1980 LEGO Group

Before the name Scala was re-used in the 1990's for a range of dolls' houses and accessories, it was originally given to a small number of jewellery sets that were released in 1979 and 1980. They featured some cool printed tiles and parts for making bracelets and rings. Now for the first time on the Internet, you can view images of the boxes, rather than the catalogue scans as used at other sites. Check out the Theme browser for Scala and enjoy.

I wonder who the little girls on the boxes were? They must be nearly 40 by now :-)

Haha! That was even more unexpected than Fabuland!
I had forgotten about these, but yeah, some really nice tiles and other interesting parts.

What was the name they used for the similar theme in the 00s? Bratz? Clickit?

Anyhow, should´t this be sorted as it's own theme rather than together with the doll house theme? You could name them something like Scala (Jewelry) and Scala (Dolls).

i am assuming part of the reason why you are able to get all these extra pics is due to the ethical line you have chosen with relation to not using confidential pics and keeping on side with lego and respecting the manufacturers products, product development and company confidentiality. I certainly applaud your integity Huw, so well done..it honours your wisdom.

Come clean. You have a time machine, not only will you bring images of old and obscure sets to the internet, but you will also make a kiling on ebay by selling them MINT.

Or maybe not.

Either way I look forward to any other old stuff you have up your sleeve.

EWW! They're just like the Clickits line! EXCEPT the pieces in this one are actual lego pieces...I could use some myself hehe.

Thanks a bunch, Huw! Will we be getting images of the 80s and 90s LEGO buckets? Thanks in advance.

Man, I wish Lego would create more patterned tiles like that! If they did them in the new darker colors like dark reds and greens, you could use them to make oriental carpets for homes or for Arabian Nights creations.

Hah, I have a quite clear idea about how you managed to get to take pictures of those mint condition boxes! Thanks for helping both fans and TLG. :)

it's good to see that old sets now have pictures. it's a bit boring looking at white and a set name, but as much as I think not, I like Trandoshan's idea of you having a time machine (have you made freind with doctor who Huw?) i hope to see more pics
