More new polybags on the way

Posted by ,

Closer examination of the replacement parts page at LEGO.com by whung has revealed more polybags:

  • 30066 Duplo Circus
  • 30166 Robin and Redbird Cycle
  • 30167 Iron Man vs. Fighting Drone
  • 30183 Little Car
  • 30222 Police Helicopter
  • 30240 Star Wars Z-95 Headhunter
  • 30241 Star Wars Gauntlet
  • 30242 Star Wars Republic Frigate
  • 30243 Star Wars Umbarran MHC

No pictures yet, but if you click through on the numbers you can see the parts that'll be in them.

The page has also revealed names for the seasonal sets:

And also a few other curiosities:

  • 40073 Panda
  • 40074 {Can be reused} (name not decided or set cancelled?)
  • 40200 BMW

The Monthly Model Minibuilds in the brand stores will be numbered 40061-40072. There's going to be no let-up for the polybag collector this year, is there?

Nice! I knew it was worth holding out for an Iron Man poly to crop up.

By in Spain,

Whoah Iron Man .. hope it is not the same as the ones in the current sets :D Well cool.

By in United Kingdom,

I am absolutely delighted with these, so many great sounding polybags! Robin and Redbird Cycle, Iron Man vs. Fighting Drone and all those Star Wars ones seem excellent. I highly doubt it, but Thanksgiving Feast could contain a lot of food pieces which would be fantastic, more likely it is brick built food though.

Anyway, an amazing selection I think.

By in Europe,

Its nice to see a lot of the seasonal poly bags come with mini figures not just brick built models.

By in Hungary,

Did anyone try to build these polybags according to the parts list? It would be fun :)

By in United States,

Those seasonal sets look great. I may need a couple of each of them.

^^ Thanks. That's a new windsheild, isn't it?

By in Belgium,

I find it odd that some counts are incorrect, e.g. http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=30183-1: "According to the set database, this set has 0 parts. The inventory from LEGO.com contains 0 parts. This suggests that the inventory is % complete." Yet the "Parts" tab clearly lists 24 different parts, totaling 50 items. Is this a bug?

@ CapnRex101 You can see the various parts of Thanksgiving Feast @ http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=40056-1 and then click on "Parts".

@ Huw: also used in http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=60004-1 and http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=60008-1 according to http://www.brickset.com/search/?part=6019162

By in Netherlands,

I've already seen a picture of the Iron Man Polybag, but it's a blurry picture

By in United Kingdom,

I was just wondering what the Gauntlet was (30241) but I looked at the part list and it seems it has the navy blue and white colour scheme of Pre Viszla's Mandalorian Starfighter from The Clone Wars, and I just researched it and found that Pre Viszla's starfighter was called Gauntlet so it will be a smaller version of 9525. I'm not really interested in polybags but this year's sets seem pretty inventive and interesting.

And yet, still no Green Lantern...

By in United States,

From reading the inventory to the BMW, I assume that it will be a black and orange off-road vehicle (probably a rally car or SUV). Also from guessing by the set's name there will be a sticker sheet or even printed parts not tallied in the inventory as well

By in Sweden,

Be carefull Huw when you post that many new polybags in one go,
Atkinsar might get a heart attack when he sees that list!
lol

A Kmart I go to in Puerto Rico is havin a sale on Legos Polybags: Tie Figther, Uruck Hay from LoTR, a Lego city boat. They are all at $2.99. The town is in Cayey, a city in the center of the island.

@BJMdotLEGO, the number of parts in the inventory will get calculated overnight as part of a batch job. However we don't use the number of parts in the inventory as the number of parts in the set list because they are not usually accurate. So, until the set has been released and we know the actual part count, the % complete calculation will not show anything sensible. I guess it should be removed in such cases, so I'll tweak the code.

By in United Kingdom,

@BJMdotLEGO - Oh yes of course, I must have missed that bit :P thanks very much. It looks like there are a plethora of food parts, excellent! (Although it probably won't be available in Europe since Thanksgiving is of course a purely American tradition, nothing a few e-mails won't solve though...

I have formed an idea of what the Robin and Redbird Cycle polybag might look like, as long as they get a nice curved appearance I will be happy.

By in United Kingdom,

Since they all seem to show parts and part counts, I would be very interested in seeing any reverse-engineered reconstructions. It should be possible, though I guess they might still be missing parts.

By in United States,

The DUPLO poly seems unusual. I have never seen a DUPLO poly set, and the parts list shows 3 figs, 2 animals, and just a few blocks. Seems like a lot for a poly bag.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

It will probably be like other Duplo bags which contain one of the animals or figures, plus the few bricks.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Wow the thanksgiving feast looks great! Lots of food, two figs and a table!
EDIT: hmmm are they all polybags? One has three figs!

http://stores.lego.com/en-us/ has links to the Monthly Store Calendar for January 2013 and February 2013. The helicopter will be free with a $35 purchase in February in the US at least. This gives a great image for the helicopter. Here's hoping more of these polys will be free with purchase!

I really wouldn't mind that Ironman polybag set it seems interesting especially since I've never seen a polybag set with two Minifigures O.o and the Red Robin cycle polybag set could have some potential.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Ironman is the one with triangle according to the inventory.
nothing new with Robin so far too.

the prices will drop a lot!

Need to sell all my Robins now ! :0

By in United States,

BMW? Never gonna argue with a new licensed auto theme! Anybody else hoping for an M3 GTS?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

^ & ^^: Especially if it's minifig scale or plus (like, technics/creator expert). I've not been too amazed by the 'tiny turbo' sized licensed cars so far.
EDIT: From the parts list, though, it looks more like it will be sort of Le Mans racer. Just my guess.
EDIT 2: There was also a mystery set in 2012 called "BMW" that was never released... http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=40050-1

Gravatar
By in United States,

@Plasmodium A Z4 GT3 maybe? Really looking forward to this. I'll admit I'm not fond of the tiny turbos especially after the awkward Ferrari release but it could be it's only the beginning.......

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

^^I agree about the tiny-turbo size in a polybag, I just meant that if they are getting a license, then they should also make some bigger models, IMO.

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

Hoth Bricks have images of the SW polybags.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm so excited for the new LOTR stets :)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The seasonal ones sound pretty interesting, especially the feast and "scenes". Shame polybags are so hard to come by in the UK except with the Sun promos.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I would suspect the BMW is a Tiny Turbo, as the Batman Batmobile from 2012 one was that size as well.

Gravatar
By in Denmark,

About the BMW, if it's a company PR thing and they decide to make the gimmie "Buy a car and get a lego-set for free!"... then I guess the bricklink price for the set will become pretty high ;-)
