More new polybags

Tonto's Campfire

A couple of Lone Ranger polybags have come to light, thanks to flickr user motayan, together with images of others that we listed earlier in the week.

30261, pictured, Tonto's Campfire features Tonto and, er, a campfire and 30260, Lone Ranger's Pump Car contains, believe it or not, the Lone Ranger and a pump car. It's a shame the images are not a bit bigger such that we could get a good look at the minifigs.

Now that was made for The Sun newspaper :)

By in Hungary,

Three more months to get them! (I mean if the next Sun promo starts somewhere in March)

By in Canada,

^^ Yes, and the next promotion, likely to be in May, will tie in nicely with the theme's release.

Yay! Now I don't have to buy any of the sets! If these, the iron man poly (iron man 3 also out this summer) and the mirkwood elf (hobbit on dvd by the summer?) are in the next Sun promo I'll be a happy bunny.

By in United Kingdom,

I am hoping for a couple of the recently revealed Star Wars polybags, these two, and the two Super Heroes ones as well. The Mirkwood Elf polybag would be nice too as I can see some small army building potential in them (and they even have some great parts included). The other three could be made up of Creator or City I suppose but I have no preferences.

These two look rather nice to me, I am most likely lying to myself if I say that I won't collect the Lone Ranger sets, so I shall simply say that I am glad that there will be a cheaper way to get the figures for now and wait and see what the actual models are like closer to the release when we get some better images.

By in Australia,

Looks OK, they don't do much for me, though.

What do you guys think about that Springtime scene?

It seems last year's polybag rush helped the Lego designers to realize there are much more money (&fun) in plybags than they (and we, collectors) tought at first.

Ooh, Hell yeah! I am definitely adding them to my wishlist and seeing that movie!

Jealous of the Sun promos! Wish we had that in the US.

By in United States,

I'm still hoping for a calvary poly…

By in United States,

Nope. We don't have anythign like the Sun promotion. Some states its harsd to find some polys AT ALL. I know this year Las Vegas never received the Hawkeye or the Quinjet Poly. Looking forward to these and the superheroes as well :) Hope they show up here.

By in United Kingdom,

I REALLY hope these come in The Sun promo (if there in another one). But there are lots of polybags that dont come in that promo right? So isnt it a big assumption that these are destined for that promo for sure?

By in United States,

Where's the Robin poly!!!! Love the Iron Man one though!

By in Hungary,

@Twayne1047 I wish I could live in Vegase and so my biggest problem would be that my country didn't receive nor will any of these polybags. (at least I have ebay account and the hope that really openhearted brickset members would send me any of their polybags in the future as well in the past)

By in Australia,

Ah, polybags. Given the track record of Disney movies, well, at least we'll get some awesome Lego out of it.

The Leonidas' Jungle Dragster poly is pretty cool (30253). I was able to order 5 from TRU before they pulled it, not sure why it's gone.

Quite excited by the Hedgehog Poly. Dark red small leaves to compliment my larger ones from Hobbit sets!

By in Canada,

There has been a steady increase in the amount of Polybags released yearly for a good few years now, all of these promos and things, it makes collecting them quite difficult where distribution is a pain. In Canada we only find them at TRU stores, while in the States, you guys can at least find Polybags at Wal-Mart and Target... I have no idea why Wal-Mart in Canada refuses to stock something that would make them even more money, most of the Wal-Mart exclusive Polys wind up at their competitor, TRU, here in Canada.

And now there are even more Polys coming out to keep a watchful eye on and we still haven't seen any stocking of The Hobbit sets from last year or that Quinjet, Hawkeye with Equipment. In a Way The UK seems to have the best luck with Polybags, they have a Newspaper partnering with LEGO to offer free Polys with vouchers, or however that works. They wind up selling more copies of their paper (Smart buisness practice that) and then they wind up getting tons of exclusive items given out. I don't think anywhere else even saw most of those early Star Wars Polys with the small models and Mini-Fig like the numerous releases of the STAP or Clone Walker from... 2008 or so?

Indeed LEGO is beginning to see the benefit of Polybags and the sheer lunacy some collectors will go through just to get them all, look at Elrond and Lex Luthor free giveaways with the videogames? That got people to pay full retail rather than wait for clearance on the games just to get the Mini-Figure.

It would be nigh impossible to keep up with all of them without our favorite Brick related sites. I certainly hope Canada get's most if not all of the Polybags from this year, all I know is as soon as I see them I'm snatching them all up, one each of course as I don't buy doubles unless it involves army building. (Lookin' at you Uruk.) I just hope that an increase in Polybag creativity and numbers does not also relate to an increase in Polybag pricing, 4.99$ is the perfect price for these things, to ask more of them would be kind of silly in my honest opinion.

By in United States,

For some reason TRU gets very limited stock on the freebies. They told me that a lot of time they get less than 10 of the item from Lego yet TRU advertises the freebie like crazy. They run out quickly online as well.
I never saw Hawkeye or the quinjet either but was able to get them through trades with someone in the UK.

I like the sets, but for some reason the yellow stripe on these polys is ugly.

This is a bad view of Tonto. I am not a Native North American.
However, Jay Silverheels, a First Nations (Canada) Mohawk would probably have been insulted.

If Tonto is wearing face paint of any sort, there would not be any food on the fire.
[Especially not a giant turkey leg.]

I don't remember there being any face paint on Tonto in the TV series. Could be my bad memory.
