Review: 41022 Bunny's Hutch

Posted by ,

41022 Bunny HutchI've just time to post a quick review of the second of three Friends animals series 2 sets: 41022 Bunny's Hutch, although to be honest there isn't a lot to say about it.

It consists of a bunny, a hutch (or rather, a fairly poor excuse for one), an exercise ramp and a carrot.

The hutch is a typical multi-coloured Friends affair, and pretty unremarkable. The exercise-ramp-thing is superfluous and probably just there to pad out the set a bit.

Like the hedgehog in 41020, the rabbit has appeared in other Friends sets, but this one sports a new print and is unique to this set.

Here's the hutch, with the hinged roof raised so you can see bunny in it. I've added a 2 x 2 jumper tile to the base so that he can sit centrally in it; for some reason one has not been provided.

Little girls, who of course it's designed to appeal to, will love this set, but it's not as appealing as the hedgehog hideaway for everyone else because the parts are not as useful. But, still worth 5 bucks of anyone's money...

If you want to see more details, Canadian Bounty Hunter has photos in his flickr set of the model and the parts.

I must say these parts look rather attractive to me, not only do we get six masonry bricks (which I like very much) but we also get a carrot. I would agree though, this does not seem to be as interesting as the Hedgehog Hideaway.

I don't think it's that bad... I think it's probably the best one so far. (of course, the other ones are horrible anyways)

It's an ok set, not much playability though, same with the other ones really but for £2.99 in Tescos, they are not bad :-)

I agree. It's the weakest of the three but the price point justifies it as a good parts set. Plenty of useful hinge pieces and profile bricks in this one

Meh, might get it if it and myself converge at TRU during a BOGO. :P

I'd love it if they made a proper minifigure-scale, non-cutesy-cutesy rabbit, that maybe a female magician could be pulling out of a hat in a future Minifigures series sometime...

Decent parts, but the hedgehog set is the clear winner here.

5 bucks? Wasn't it $3? Well, we're paying double of that here...
