Robin and Redbird Cycle at Toys R Us Canada

Posted by ,

30166 Robin and Redbird Cycle, which we didn't have a picture of until now, is being given away in Toys R Us in Canada with purchases of Super Heroes sets. It's limited to 25 per store, so you'd better be in quick!

Also this weekend, TRU is hosting a mini JEK-14 Stealth Fighter building event. More information in their newsletter.

(Thanks tiker and alexa for the news).

While we are on the subject of Canada, I will be visiting Halifax and south New Brunswick in July. If you're in the vicinity let me know and maybe we can meet up!

Does anyone know if this will be available some where else, like the US or UK? Any way looks pretty good, though unless it appears some where else it pretty much destroys my chances of getting a cheap Robin minifig...

I happen to live less than three hours away from Halifax. What brings you to this side of the Pond?

Have fun in New Brunswick Huw. I assume "south" means St. John am I correct? If so be prepared for lots of fog! Other than that the province as a whole is very nice. :-)

Whoa. I hadn't anticipated this set being nearly so cool a build. That's an excellent model right there, making great use of that new slope element from LEGO City. I don't collect LEGO Super Heroes sets so I'm not waiting at the edge of my seat for a U.S. release, but hopefully there is one.

I went to TRU this AM to see if I could buy them without the promo. TRU has a policy where if it scans, they can sell it. Unfortunately, this promo doesn't have a $ value in their system, so the only way to get it is to buy $30 worth of Super Heroes sets.

I'm a little disappointed in that I was expecting this to look like the version in Batman 2, but I'll shut up and take what I can get :)

When our local TRU has a giveaway like this, they usually end up with more than needed and sell them afterwards. As I'm not looking at any Super-hero stuff at the moment, I'll probably wait 'til next week and grab one then.

And Huw, if you feel like travelling a few days west, you can look me up in Regina, Sask!

Just went to TRU today and picked this up along with some Man of Steel and Batman sets. Apparently you can't just buy the polybag but you don't have to specifically purchase Super Heroes themed sets just any lego (though this may just be the one near me).

Dammit LEGO, that's the second time you've released a polybag I want as a TRU Canadian exclusive! And of course you can only get it by buying Superheroes sets, all of which I already own... >_<

Ugh. How expensive will this be on Bricklink? :P

I laugh at that ad:
FREE*
*When you $30 on ANY** Lego Superheroes sets.
**Excludes clearance.

So "free" is not free and "any" is not any. Just goes to show that you can say anything you want as long as you have an asterisk footnote to clarify. :D
