In the original design I was totally baffled as to why they didn't lock any structural studded bricks to the underside of the base plate and let it 'float' until it was eventually secured from the *topside*. -Meaning as you applied any pressure to the plate to attach parts, the base plate would easily separate. That, and the total lack of interlocking bricks completely up the side on all four sides of the wheel-pneumatic-columns.I was surprised that made it through the design review. But the fix is now in. If anyone cares. :-) By Coson in United States, 09 Jul 2013 09:02@ kingbrick, I compared the original instructions with these ones and they are completely different, kind of strange seeing as the set has been out for a bit. By Huw in United Kingdom, 09 Jul 2013 10:21I believe there was a change in the design of one of the parts, the train baseplate I believe, after the original model design was finalised which had an impact on its stability. By Classicsmiley in United States, 09 Jul 2013 13:00So are the updated pieces and instructions just going to be available as a pack from customer service, or is there a chance the updated model will actually make its way to store shelves? By Huw in United Kingdom, 09 Jul 2013 13:45It was withdrawn from sale at S@H a while ago, so if it's back there now it's safe to assume it's the later version. I'd be surprised if a pack is made available to be honest. By Coson in United States, 10 Jul 2013 13:34@ Classicsmiley, I was wondering the exact same thing! Commenting has ended on this article.
