Lone Ranger now on the shelves in the UK

Posted by ,

My local branch of The Entertainer had the smallest Lone Ranger sets on the shelves this morning, so if you've been waiting patiently to see them 'in the flesh' for yourself, you can now do so. I think their prices are RRP, with no mark-up.

We reviewed the sets back in March so do take a look at the reviews again to see what we thought of them.

By in United Kingdom,

I saw 79111 Constitution Train Chase in one of my local Entertainers (Kingston-upon-Thames) on Wednesday 10th, if anyone wants to see the biggest set in the flesh. I didn't see any of the others there, but I imagine they might have them in the stock room.
It was RRP, £80. I left it for someone else to come and buy it, as I don't have a strong interest in trains partly due to space issues!

So, if anyone lives near Richmond or Kingston in the UK and wants 79111, you know where to look! ;-)

Great! I must head with my son to Toys 'R' Us later!

Are those "new" stickers actually stickers so callously applied?

By in Denmark,

I've seen them here too. Though I was looking for the new Castle sets, and I couldn't find them anywhere. Does anyone know when they'll be out here in Europe? I was thinking probably August 1st, but I don't know.

I wonder how popular the Lone Ranger sets will be. The movie was a flop.

They're in The Entertainer in Manchester city centre too, which is annoying as the Lego Store which is about three minutes walk from there, hasn't! I think it's wrong that Lego release the sets after everyone else has them in stock! I would of bought the sets from The Entertainer, but I have £30 on my Lego VIP card, so I'll have to wait til Monday - grrrr! Stupid!

Darn, I was in Watford today and didn't go in the Entertainer because I already went there Monday and didn't expect great stock. May wave just missed my moment to pick up a set or two.

I think that since the sets were released a few months before the movie, and had generally favorable reception due to being well-designed and the first western sets in 10 years they'll still do fine. Although if they don't and all kinds of sales happen that'll make ne happy. :P

Perhaps a lukewarm reception in the U.S. for the movie; $48 after two weekends. However, I found the movie quite enjoyable for another Depp-heimer production. However, unless they show up in a deleted scene, I don't remember a stagecoach, a canon on top of the Sheriff's building, or a canoe, buuut, it adds more playability.

I had an interesting find in my local target yesterday....it seems they are starting to stock up on the 2013 Star Wars summer sets there.

On the top shelf there was 3 boxes of 75018 Jek-14 Starfighter. I didn't pick one up because I have no interest in the yoda chronicles. Hopefully they will start to stock the other sets soon too...

I hope you enjoy your Lone Ranger sets. You blokes got the new Star Wars sets looong before the U.S. and we have another month yet to wait.

BooTheMightyHamster spotted them at Peter Jones this week, although if they're the same price as JL has them online, the stage coach is £40 not £30. Perhaps JL are looking at the box office returns and trying to cash in on the interest around this set as quickly as possible?

Amazon are starting to slowly drop the price on a couple of sets thanks for other sellers but I'm sure they won't all come in at RRP. Be interesting to see of anything has changed by this time tomorrow!

Smyth's had them on Friday too. I built the mine over the weekend. Built the stagecoach and comanche camp a few months ago as a family member brought them over from Canada.

Be a shame if Lego does discontinue this line rapidly because of the failure of the movie as the sets are IMO some of the best I've seen and built. Have thoroughly enjoyed building all of them so far and they're all really nice.
