Brickmaster show at Seoul Citizens Hall, now until 18th August

Posted by ,

Brickmaster is a LEGO community in South Korea. They are currently staging their second major exhibition in Seoul. One of the highlights of the show is this Imperial Inspection, part of Star Wars Episode VI. It includes Emperor Palpatine, Darth Vader and 2,040 Stormtroopers who are the main force of the Galactic Empire. In total there are 2,904 figures in the display. It is one of the biggest displays in Korea. All of the figures were collected by one of the club's members (Fozclan) who's still after more Stormtroopers to make it even bigger.

The club's Mini Seoul Project will also be on display which recreates landmarks around Seoul City Hall. The display reproduces details of City Hall, the Bank of Korea (BOK), Jong-ro Tower, the Chunggye creek, Mount Nam and N-tower and over time will expand to cover more landmarks in the city.

You can find pictures of both displays on flickr.

If you're in Korea, check it out. I'm told that the AFOL scene is huge in the country so if you're from there and a visitor here, say hello in the comments!

An impressive collection! To anybody attending the event, have fun! I cannot say I have ever given much thought to the South Korean AFOL community, but now that you mention it there are quite a few people on Brickset and Flickr from South Korea as I recall.

Meanwhile the UK awaits STEAM on the 5th and 6th of October.

That is incredibly impressive. I think I have one Stormtrooper from the Luke's Landspeeder set...

I love seeing huge armies. I've always wanted to army build, but my money gets tied up in figure collecting so I don't have enough for multiples on top of it. Either way, kudos to Fozclan for that collection. Something to be proud of.

Otherwise, there are a lot of builds in there. My most favorite scene was the mini Seoul project. That looks incredible. I love the little details. I've been wanting to make my own mini city, so I may take some inspiration from that. They did a good job with it.

I've never been to Korea, but it seems the LEGO community makes it worth a visit.

Have fun at the show everyone in attendance!

Impressive, very impressive. However I want to see a huge Mygeeto battle (fan of Ep 3 battles and phase 2 clone troppers). Oh how I hope Lego remakes the Republic Tank.

By in Hungary,

It is impressive to have such a huge number of imperial minifigs, however I would like the scene much better if at least one side of the hangar was built.

Yellow // Wall of hanger was sacrificed for 360 degree of view. It's was much more pleasure we could take pictures on all around. Audiences were pleased about that we think :)

I love Brickmaster's photos of the exhibition! Fantastic detail and clever use of pieces. The various vehicles in the city are quite remarkably done.

By in Spain,

rlaxowl821 - actually you are lucky as you live on Jeju. I had the pleasure of visiting the island in 2009. Would love though to be in Seoul and watch the show but it won't be before next year that I'll be in Korea next time. I love your country!
