Available in Oz also. The price for opera house is not too bad compared to US price considering its gst inclusive.

Ill wait another two weeks to get the free gift.

Ahhh what a dilemma. A) Get it now before the general public or.... B) wait until September 1st to get the free mini VW bus or.... C) wait until October in hopes for double VIP points?!?!?

@starfire2- Ewok or Opera House? If you get the Ewok Village, you get the clone too. I'm not sure about the Ewok Village. It looks cool, but should I save my money until next summer, as I heard some mumblings about a Cloud City. Or were those just rumors without any source? Anyway, I wonder if Lego realizes people will have the same dilemma as the person above me.

Either way I am going to wait a little bit. You have about 6 months or so before the Ewok Village could be removed from the active list (thou I think it will be around for over a year) and the Opera House is going to be around for over a year.

Are these sets only available online or does the same deal apply in the stores?

By in United States,

Great timing on this one! I actually had the day off to hit my closest store (over an hour away) and picked one up. Probably would have waited till the free figure, but I had a $20 off coupon for in store only to use anyhow.
I'll just have to order something else Sept 1st. Thanks Brickset! For the very prompt news!

AZFIREWOLF - Since they are just being released, both are guaranteed to be available for over 1 year and my guess is at minimum 2 years since they are exclusive. The Tower Bridge which is being replaced by the Opera House was available for 3 years. Ewok Village is supposedly replacing the Death Star which was available for ~5 years. So you have a looong time to get either of these before they are discontinued.

As far as getting them early, that seems pretty pointless since there are awesome exclusive give-aways in September and Double Points in October (March and October always have double points). And I'm pretty sure the store calendar for September stated the SW Clone give-away is through the end of October, so if you get the Ewok Village, you could wait until October and get the free gift and double points. Just a FYI.

And as far as I'm aware, Cloud City has been a constant rumor since the last one was released basically. Since they came out with this huge playset, they probably won't be releasing another large playset anytime soon. Unless they make a more system scaled Cloud City, but I think that will anger a lot of people also.

Ug. I'm a new AFOL and I was looking forward to this one, so I went ahead and ordered it. Now I read these comments and y'all tell me about double points in October. Oh well, I'm learning.
