LEGO store employee

The Brick Owl has uncovered this new promotional polybag containing a LEGO store employee minifig and a 2 x 4 red brick. There's no word on availability but there's plenty of speculation and discussion about it in the forum.

Hooray for rerelease of old World City face!

My dad who works at LEGO gave me a female version of these, some weeks ago. She is in Danish quality and doesn't have arm printing, and my dad said she was a security figure. I'll upload pictures to brickshelf some day.

This is the trick question at the end of the staff interview. They offer you this fig, and if you accept, they figure you're a pilferage risk and don't give you the job ;o)

^Apply for a job at a Lego shop and get a free exclusive minifigure? Sounds like a good scheme! :P

I don't know what employees look like in other stores, but at Downtown Disney's location where it is a stand alone building, they wear yellow aprons with the LEGO Logo on them.

Wow, looks like another must have figure. Though i like this one, I hope that they will continue to do the little guys around the websites such as a MAX and (I don't receive the club anymore but still nice to have), A VIP minifig thats not a keychain.

^ The the store employees do wear an apron, but if you have gone to a convention, you may have seen them in a black shirt and black pants just like shown above.

If the Lego store from Cuusoo ever gets released ,I wonder if Lego wil add this minifigure to the set.

Except that it looks nothing like the LEGO uniforms that I've seen. MCLegoboy's description matches everyone I've seen, with the yellow aprons being switched with blue aprons to advertise for the Legends of Chima series. I hope one of those gets released, but at least this one fixes the "advertising for products that don't exist" issue for this figure.

They wear this uniform in the UK brand stores, with yellow detailing on the collar. A cute Minifigure!

That's a must have minifigure. Whenever I saw this figure on lego.com, I've always wanted it as an actual minifigure. Now it has!

Huh. They look nothing like this at my store. They have yellow aprons over ordinary clothes.

I love the Minifigure, so will certainly be picking this one up.

I would guess that it might be the November exclusive. October is usually something Halloween themed I believe and December will naturally have those Christmas sets which were revealed a while ago.

It could be given to people who purchase stuff from the Lego Store during brick Friday on top of the other offers.

I see this now has a place in the database - could there be a "hoax" category for 'sets' like this one and good memories of vintage April releases?

They also wear these outfits in Germany.

it's the European uniform, only in the US I've seen them wear the aprons (why I don't know, it's not like you get dirty from lego...)

In regards to CapnRex101, I thought the last two weeks of October was the first Christmas set, and then on Brick Friday was the second Christmas set. It certainly is possible to have two exclusives (as they are now with the VW van and the Clone).

The store employees wear black in Copenhagen, then again *everyone* wears black in Copenhagen, except the tourists.

So is this a fake or a real set?

I'm still going with it is an employee giveaway thing, employees only. Maybe it will be their Christmas bonus!

Yes, an employee giveaway is highly likely. There was a heart of some sort as an employee giveaway a few years ago.

Wow a 2x4 red piece never seen that before,

Yeah right.

@gingerlad, they still go well together, and the red 2x4 brick is TLG's signature piece. So it only fits that they put in this set.

Anyway I love the minifigure, hopefully it will come to the US.
