Register for the 2014 Inside Tours next Monday

Posted by ,

Registration for the 2014 LEGO Inside Tours takes place on Monday 4th November at 1pm CET. There will be four tours next year, two each in May and June.

If you want to go, you'll need to be quick off the mark because places are likely to be filled within 20 minutes. I suggest that if you're serious about going you use something like this time zone converter to put a reminder in your calendar.

You can read full details of how to apply at LEGO.com. It looks as if they will be using a web form rather than a paper one this time which should streamline things somewhat.

You may recall that I went this year and, as you can read in my review, I had a fantastic time. It's expensive but it's almost a 'money can't buy' experience that every LEGO fan should try and do at least once. Even my NLSO had a great time...

Good luck if you apply!

(Thanks to DarthWalle for the tip-off).

My review links to the flickr picture, not a review. Unless the picture is your review.

Wonder whether my NLC would enjoy it!

By in United Kingdom,

Hmm. The cost is 13,000 Danish kroner, which is about 1500 GB quids. That's about a month and a half's salary for me. Expensive.

^^^ Thanks, corrected, I had the wrong URL on my clipboard :)

By in United States,

I plan on registering!

By in Belgium,

I'd love to do this though it won't be next year. I don't think the cost is too bad when compared to other "once in a lifetime" things to do. You could probably re-coup a third of the cost by selling the limited edition set they give out as well, though for most of us we'd sell off a kidney before doing that!

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Approx $2500 AUS, not too bad overall i suppose given it includes accommodation and food, more expensive than skiing in Japan. Could buy a lot of LEGO for that money.....one day maybe.

Gravatar
By in United States,

2014 might be the year I do this! June looks to be the perfect time.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Seems to me, that time of the year looks really good for me! I think I'm gonna register for this AWESOME tour:-)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Would it be awkward to go to this on your own? I don't really have anyone else with that kind of cash to go with :(

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

£1500?!

Are they insane? What do they offer that could possibly make it worth that kind of money, other than the exclusive minifigure of course?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

^^ There were plenty of 'singles' on it this year, it's not a problem.

^ Read the review and you'll find out why it's worth every penny.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Also, if it sells out that quickly why should they charge less?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

When evaluating the cost you have to take into consideration the price of the accommodation. Just try making a booking for the hotel and you will be surprised at the cost.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Although you have to pay, I've read Huw's review of his visit and for me it's like a 'Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory Tour' ....something very different, unique and, if I had the spare cash, would book up for in a flash. I've spent far more for long weekends in other European city breaks that I've forgotten about already... I doubt very much I would forgot about this sort of LEGO adventure as quickly!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

^^ Precisely. It's expensive, of course, but a lot of the price is down to the cost of accommodation at the LEGOLAND hotel, meals etc. etc.. We were royally looked after on the tour, and nothing was too much trouble.

Having attended at the same time as Huw I can second his comment that it was worth every penny.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

It's a big bonding experience, PoMoPink. I've since become Facebook friends with some of the other attendees. You're treated like royalty and everyone eats together (including the Designers) so you won't feel alone. In fact, the days are so full of intense thrills you'll be happy to get time to yourself and collapse at night!

By in Japan,

If only I could spare £1500! Unfortunately, I've got more essential - and prosaic - priorities.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Oh man, I wish I could go on one of these...

There's no way I could get my parents to pay that, and I'm not going to have that money in college.

Some day...

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I was also fortunate enough to attend at the same time as Huw, DrDaveWatford and caperberry. It was an amazing once in a lifetime experience, although if I knew what I know now, I probably would have waited until the Lego House opens in Billund 2016/17 so I could visit it at the same time. £1500 is a lot of money to most people and it doesn't include travel to Billund or spending money, which you will need, in total the trip cost me around £3000. So i would start saving now for 2016/2017.

Gravatar
By in United States,

That would be awesome to attend, but that amount of money would be hard to swing for anyone. Just flight + Tour ticket is over $4,000, and that is just by myself. I'd definitely want to take my wife over there, so tack on another couple grand for her flight. Yikes...

But it would be a neat experience. Maybe when I retire (if LEGO prices don't shoot through the roof by then).

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Fingers crossed have just registered! PoMoPink if i get in the will be going alone - have asked for the last tour!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Eight minutes in and registration has closed!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I have registered for either of the June ones. Still not sure I could justify the money...

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Me neither but have decided if i get a place it was meant to be! Am getting bit ahead of myself and already looking at flights!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Registered 3 minutes in, but the registration link is still active, 21 minutes later. Wouldn't say registration is closed.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Hey mincooper11 might have just been me or at that point as went to look again x2 and even though link works when you get re directed and click on registration again it did not work :-(

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

It is the actual registration option on the conference manager site that was closed at 8 min!

Gravatar
By in United States,

@chaaya, @PoMoPink, I asked for the last tour in June, and then the first in June, first in May, and second in May as priorities 2, 3, and 4.

Let me know which one you hopefully end up going to, and let's see if we could meet up!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Hi defiant it would be brilliant to meet up - I can only make it on the last tour so fingers crossed cant believe it is a two week wait!

Camilla does look like her leg has broken if honest I was too busy day dreaming about having a chaaya mini fig to have noticed!

Must stop day dreaming and work!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Yes... I've been making plans already, but not even sure I'm in.
I'm really curious why in this day and age we have to wait 2 weeks for results. Clearly they know who's going and who isn't. It's a bit disappointing honestly.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Hey I keep checking on here and when I saw 32 comments I thought someone may have heard! Been checking out flights and maybe an extra night there - think am getting too excited - checked my e mail and it was generated at three minutes past - they have said there are 500 registrations and 25 people per tour! AM hoping it will not be a full two weeks!

Gravatar
By in United States,

My e-mail is from 3 mins past the hour as well...

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Mine's from 2 mins past [hopes] ...

Gravatar
By in United States,

Maybe yours was 2:59 past the hour, and mine was at 3:01 past the hour. LOL.
That could be the difference between going and not going.

I'm wondering if they still have 25 people per tour, so it's 100 total, or if they also increased the number of participants.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

HI PoMoPink and Defiant.nx74205 am guessing no one has heard yet! Am even going through my junk e mail just incase!

Being very selfish on all counts am hoping they have increased the numbers on tour so I get in but not by too many as think it will spoil it! Never Pleased lol

Am hopin I am 3.00 past the hour then!

Nearly one week over!

Gravatar
By in United States,

The wait is killing me.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Same here! Keep checking on here if anyone has heard guess wont hear tomorrow so only a week to go grrrrrrr

Just the tour info sounds so awesome and keep reading the review on here

Gravatar

Nothing yet on my end :(

Gravatar

@minicoopers11, can you share with us the message you've received? (without revealing any other info, of course)
What did they say?
Did you have to register your wife separately from your registration?

Thank you.

Gravatar
