More 2014 images

Container Truck

Another Dutch webshop, bol.com, has published more 2014 images: Technic and Friends, which means we have images for nearly all of the January-March releases, except for Chima and Mixels.

Update: Bol has also published Chima images so I've added them here.

Thanks to everyone who emailed about them.

I'm generally not interested in Technic, but that Construction Crew set looks fantastic.

By in Venezuela,

I Love this new Desert Racer

By in Denmark,

I was nearly expecting the Construction Crew set to be a new set with three Technic figures, but I doubt LEGO will ever bring those back.

That hovercraft............Mother of God.

Try building digital. I'm guessing that there is a version of Digital Designer for mobile as in iOS.

I like the Hot Rod and the little Chinook. I'm beginning to think that Technic is being juniorized with the majority being simple small sets.

I really like that twin-rotor helicopter. It looks like it has a little functional ramp.

The Chima sets look AWESOME, Also I noticed that Eris comes in another Speedorz sets with a gold Speedor,
and Eris also came in Sky Joust this year with the same Speedor as Equila's Speedor:D

@cody6268: Sadly, there's no official LEGO Digital Designer program for mobile devices... though there's a LEGO Cuusoo project for such things: http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/141

There is at least one unofficial LEGO building program for iOS if I'm not mistaken, but I don't think it has a parts selection as complete as desktop LDraw programs or LEGO Digital Designer.

Still definitely loving the Legend Beast sets. I can't wait to get my hands on some of those. Best I can figure is that each has between 100 and 120 pieces and will be selling for $11-12 here in the States. The other sets don't excite me a whole lot (I don't want to dedicate my budget to Chima playsets or Speedorz when Ninjago and Hero Factory keep calling my name), but the Legend Beasts definitely pique my interest with their sculptural complexity and awesome articulation.

By the way, the Hero Factory sets #44015 and #44016 are also on bol.com. So we've now got all the pics for the January wave of that theme. I quite like the designs of those sets. They show a lot of ingenuity.

I've always enjoyed the tiniest of the Technic sets, and the mini helicopter looks to be no exception. It's so cute! I'm also liking the looks of that hot rod.

Really liking the look of the container truck and construction vehicle technic sets.

As for Chima, most of the sets are rather meh except for the rhino, bat and lion glider sets.

I wonder what the big Technic set for next year will be.

By in United States,

Chima legend beasts look strange.. Also Lego land Florida had every creator and ninjago set for next year in stock.

By in United States,

I love that cargo plane!

By in United States,

Well, this actually reveals something that Chima fans have been waiting for... big spoiler time...

Shadow Wind is Lavertus - or he's another lion, at least. It does make sense, actually... thanks for the pictures!

What is the digital building advertised on the Hot Rod's box? Also, I like this new Speedorz packaging a lot more.

By in United Kingdom,

This years Chima sets were great but again it looks like next years sets have gone too far (like usual). Why do they have to bring in bats and scorpions and spiders? Wasn't it better how it was before? Also, looking by the box of one of the sets it looks like Cragger turns good again! The only good set though would have to be the lion legend beast...

By in Italy,

i must say i'm a little disappointed by the technic line. the construction crew looks like three small models put in a single box. The helicopter is rather good, as is the plane. The hotrod and the snowmobile are just ok.
I refuse to call the pull backs technic. They're lego models made with technic pieces, with no functionality whatsoever, not even a working steering that creator cars have.
I guess i'll go with the container truck.

I just noticed that the Chima Scorm's Scorpion Stinger comes with a recolour from one of the 2013 weapons :D

I've been waiting for some info on the 2014 Technic stuff!

Jury's still out on the helicopter and the snowmobile, although 18000pieces makes a good point - even the small Technic sets usually have something interesting about them, so I'll wait to get a better look.

I'm liking the Hotrod - it's reminiscent of the 8070 Supercar 'B' model.

Construction crew is an odd one. It looks like three models from the lower price range (£10.00 - £15.00) that have been bundled together and will probably go for around the £35.00 - £45.00 mark. I guess if you've not tried Technic before, it's a good intro though.

The Black Champion Racer and Desert racer look like the 2014 versions of the Off Road racer and Race Car. I wonder if they will combine into a larger model too?

Loving the Container truck, but I'm most pleased with the Cargo Plane. I've only been collecting Technic for a while, so don't really have anything more than about two years old, and the sets seem heavily biased towards road vehicles (and a couple of helicopters). The only plane I've got is the 9394 Jet Plane, so this looks great!

I wonder what the Flagship model will be. It's usually 2nd half if I understand correctly, so unlikely to be either the truck or the plane.

Roll on 2014!

Iam so happy to see all these new sets now! But I'm so disappointed that the Chima line only contains 11 new characters with the other 11 or so minifigs being 'retreads'. But still just waiting on the Spinlyn's Cavern and Outland Base sets though to see what minifigs they have! I wonder if those two are D2C sets?

Suppose it's a blessing in disguise really, it'll give me more money to spend elsewhere :-)

By in United States,

Who would of thought we would get Batman, Robin, Batgirl, and the Joker in one set? Only question now is do I get the super hero sets as soon as I see them, or wait and see if they do the free figure like they do after the Star Wars one in May.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Love the steamroller set. All of next year's Batman sets are pretty good.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Batgirl makes that an instant win, for me.

I'm still not a fan of the Legend Beast chima sets. They just look strange.

Gravatar
By in United States,

As an Original Trilogy Star Wars Lego collector, Ive got a whopping 1 set to grab this round. So looking outside the galaxy for a Lego fix has me eyeballing these Chima Legend Beasts. If the price is right, I can see myself picking up that set.

By in United States,

@TheOneVeyronian — They definitely aren't D2C sets, but they might be retailer exclusives like this year's Eagle Castle and Croc Swamp Hideout.

Gravatar
By in United States,

OMG!!! according 2 the website, they are making a set w/ a hydra soldier! FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Bats, spiders and scorpions. Cool.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The Snowmobile is a must have for me. The color scheme is Arctic Cat - so even better! :D

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@Aanchir - Sorry, that's just me getting my terminology mixed up. I meant 'retailer exclusives' from the off. Probably because I just buy retailer exclusives straight through Lego rather than chase around different retailers to find them. I never actually found the retailer in the UK that sold #70014 actually ;-). I'll also echo what you said about the two HF sets with missing pics. #44015 and #44016 have images but those images still haven't been added to the database yet. Might want to add those too when it's convenient :-)

Off to BL to buy more armour parts to equip to the new Chima minifigures! (Scorm also has a new armour design piece). But note the scorpions actually don't appear to have any tails as was first thought when a Chima book artwork was released a couple of months back. And only one spider has the extra leg attachments (the one in the rock flinger set). Peculiar.

Gravatar
By in United States,

^Actually, the Scorm fig in #70132 does have a scorpion tail. It's just #70140 that omits it, probably so the tail could be used as an attachment for the Speedor itself (wouldn't look much like a scorpion without one). Story-wise, maybe it's something like in Ninjago where only the highest-ranking Serpentine minifigures had snake tails, since there are no minifigures that include extra legs or a tail in one set and omit them in another.

I'm actually ever so slightly disappointed that the minifigures in the Legend Beast sets are the 2013 ones and not the 2014 ones. Normally, I'd be thrilled, as I wanted to have figs of five of the the six main characters from 2013. But through a combination of selective purchasing on my twin brother's part and dumb luck on mine, by Christmas we are already going to have pretty much all of them! Maybe our younger brother would be interested in having some of our duplicates.

By in United Kingdom,

^ Oh yes, I see it now. Scorm doesn't appear in #70140 btw, only #70132. The scorpion in #70140 is called Scolder, and with the addition of an armour piece like Scorm's, the Speedorz tail accessory can be used as Scolder's tail. I think it'll be much easier to adapt the spider legs and scorpion tails on these minifigures than to change the tails to legs on the Ninjago serpentine (which can also slot neatly into Chima as a snake tribe :-) ). I predict I'll be buying lots of those scorpion tails off BL though to give all my scorpions tails! :-)

I also noticed that the pic for #70136 Banana Bash isn't in the database either, but it was available on the web (forgive the pun). But it's a bit annoying that Gorzan and Eris, who both appeared in last year's Speedor sets, also get their own Speedor sets in this wave. Talk about rehashes, I was hoping for some different characters who didn't already have a Speedor set assigned to them at the very least!

Sooo... bring on summer 2014 set info!

Just noticed the "Try Building Digital" on the Hot Rod box. Instructions app I think it is. Cut down on paper cost. Wish LEGO would make LDD for Android....apple too :p
