Silent Sale at S@H

Posted by ,

Ronbonne reports that he has purchased some Mindstorms sensors from Shop At Home (US) and discovered they have a "silent" sale going on. Most sensors were 20% discounted; the "silent" part of this sale is that you only find out what the discount is once you put the items in you shopping basket; the lower prices are NOT listed on the item pages..!

I didn't say "hidden". With "silent" I meant that you'll only find out about these discounts once you get to the page you linked to. Lego doesn't mention it elsewhere on their S@H website (as far as I can see....)
Anyway, I took this opportunity to buy 4 sensors @ 20% off..

hidden, silent, same difference. :P

The point I was trying to arrive at was it wasn't broadcast, although the special savings icon is displayed on the sensor pages.

Hmmmmm, "Silent Sale", huh? Sounds intreguing. But I'm not that into the Mindstorms. They just seem expensive, even with a sale. :P

Yup, they are kind of pricey, even with discount. Yet, the compass sensor and the new IR Link really expand significantly the possibilities with Mindstorms. Lego should include these standard with NXT 2.0 (if and when that will ever come out....).

That's rather nice on lego's part, usualy a sale is to sell more because the price is reduced, here thier just doing it to make people pleasantly surprised, good job Lego ;)
