I have just received my Christmas Special 2013 copy of the LEGO club magazine. It arrived this morning along with a 2014 catalogue and a free Creator set, 30182 Santa (released in 2012).

Thank you LEGO Father Christmas!

Nice one -- he's hard to get hold of.

Hope this comes to the US. I can always use more tan headlight bricks.

By in United States,

The only thing I can ever remember my Lego Club magazine coming with was comic books and Knights Kingdom trading cards.

All I ever got with my magazine was a Lego club DVD

By in Australia,

You sometimes get gifts in Australia/New Zealand club magazines because you need to pay $20 to sign up.

By in Australia,

ihatesport is right. In Australia you get four magazines a year, with catalogues, stickers, minicomics and mini-magazines, but usually no Lego sets (unlike the old Brickmaster magazine in the USA). Boys and Girls sometimes get slightly different packages (because of Friends).
Every Christmas, at least for the last two years, we got an actual Lego set. Last year it was a reindeer, the year before it was a snowman. If the Kiwis get this Santa model, the Aussies probably will too. By the way the subscription is AUD 19.95, but I think you only have to pay once. David Jones has also offered free membership with big Lego purchases a couple of times too. I got my subscription that way, and I've never had to pay again. So a single free Lego set every Christmas is actually pretty good!

It's the gigantic out of proportion head and the huge glassy eyes that freek me out.

Yeah, Australian subscribers to this magazine sometimes get free Lego. I loved the little reindeer we got, last Christmas.

So hopefully, we'll get this one too.

I was lucky enough to be in Myers one day, when a Lego rep was giving out free subscriptions, so I figured, why not? I'm glad I did.

By in Netherlands,

In the netherlands i only sas two dvd's of lego friends with the gril verdien of the magazine. The boys version i never sas anything...

I think the huge glassy eyes are meant to be Santa Claus's spectacles (glasses). Yes, he's out of proportion, but that's what makes him a fun, charming, and endearing build. I quite like him.

By in United Kingdom,

I love this polybag! Wish I could get it...

By in United Kingdom,

I'm with you mshiels, the proportions look fine to me, a bit cartoony, I think it's the hollow eyes that are freaky. They're not glassy - they're empty, like some creepy horror movie version!

By in United States,

I got a rock........

(Sorry, couldn't resist)

The Santa is a tad on the odd side, but it is cartoonish and different.

I like this Santa. I think he looks funny.
Would really like to get one.

By in New Zealand,

Just received my Club mag this morning and built this little guy. Pretty good polybag really (also has a bag of presents on his back). The mag itself seems to only be A5 size this time (not A4) and doesn't have much content, but the first wave 2014 catalogue makes up for that.
