I like the Cap America as well - does it look to be a new color? Also like the cycle better than the first release. Electro looks great as well.

Ok My Thoughts.
76014. Yuck. I'll have to for electro.
76015. Best of the wave. Doc Ock is the star of the show here.
76016. After cleaning my screen from vomit, i can proudly say i'll get Goblin through ebay.
76017. Red Skull is the star here but captian america is awesome.
76018. Probally the nicest figure line-up. Falcon steals the lime light.
Overall DC wins for the builds this time but Marvel wins in the figures.I feel that the SpiderTrike was splashed
together by a 2 yr old and, its probaly not even a good seller. The truck will win and is Lokis Cosmic Cube
Escape again, and so is the hydra. The lab is ok and i guess that EB guy was right about Hulk
and that spidey copter 299 peices?!?!? Oh and lego, Ya Failed on MODOK in my eyes.
EDIT: @Titan, Yes :)
EDIT 2: In the lab set i can confirm those big walls are in blue! FINALLY!

Walmart.ca also has high-resolution pictures of the 2014 first wave of Star Wars sets.

Does anyone know the U.S. prices on these? That's gonna be the major determiner for me.

All those lightning pieces in such a small set? YES!!

By in Canada,

Electro has trans-light blue arms and head too!

@TECHNIC222 - Funny that you're so down on MODOK, he seemed to be the highlight for most folks when the promo sheet was revealed.

And it seems I was way out on the Green Goblin being from the film, I should know to stay out of comic book debates seeing as I only really know bits of the animated shows from the 90s and the films! :P

Not a bad line-up, but it's a shame the Superheroes line this year lacks stand-out builds! Here's hoping the X-Men and GoTG sets are going to be great.
I myself will pick up the trike set (Electro's transparent head and arms? Yes please!) and the Captain America set, nice to get a new Cap variation.
It seems the Spider-Copter is indeed a S.H.I.E.L.D vehicle, indicated by the sticker visible just under the helicopter blades, the upper-cockpit also looks like it lacks a base (or has a trapdoor feature), Spidey's web is visible inside it.

MODOK looks hilariously awesome, superdeformed comes to minifigs!
As for that Goblin, that is the most megabloksish thing I have ever seen LEGO make. I feel nauseous. Actually, it looks much WORSE than, say, the MB Warcraft set figures.
Overall, this is a bunch of obviously lame sets that only hardcore Marvel fans would be interested in. MAYBE the Cap'n/Red Skull set would be buyable if the price is good, and I guess I want some trans- minifig arms.

I like 76015, but the rest leave something to be desired. The Minifigures however look outstanding and are the highlight by far!

It is official Disney is trying to shove AA & USM down our throats. Passing on all those lackluster Town Jr sets.

I cannot get over how adorable the little MODOK figure is. I don't like the sets, I'll be honest - but absolutely, I'll be tracking down those minifigs to add Power Man and the Falcon to my Lego Avengers, and Elektro, Taskmaster, MODOK and Red Skull (who ever thought we'd get a little Lego Nazi supervillain? I know I never did) to add to my villains.

I have to be honest, there aren't many sets in 2014 that really grab me. Aside from a couple of town sets, and the Red Fighter Jet from Ninjago (which I already bought), next year will mostly be about collecting minifigs, I think.

Most look very good. The Avengers Assemble sets look amazing, with great minifigs(like anyone thought we would ever get MODOK? Really?). Definitely lots of villains are always needed, and they come in droves in these sets. While the Hulk Smash Lab set is lacking in style, it looks like it would be fun for a child to enjoy. The Hydra Tank is awesome. The Spiderman sets are meh, and the Green Goblin is just weird(but I guess true to the cartoon). At least we are getting a more comic-book style Doc Ock, Power Man(I really hope White Tiger is forthcoming), Mary Jane, and a great Armored Truck. I don't like the Electro at all, but I'm used to the original version. I would say the Electro Set is $12.99, The Doc Ock and Hydra sets are $19.99, The Spidercopter $39.99, and the Hulk Lab $49.99.

I'm a Marvel fan so the figures look great, but the sets...ick. Really not feeling them at all.

I wonder if Marvel is going to get an Expert set next year since DC got Arkham Asylum...

76014. I was originally going to buy it for Electro, but now that I see Electro in hi-res I honestly don't think I'll get it.
76015. That truck is really growing on me, and since I have no Doc-Ock, and only one Spidy, I will probably pick it up off of Amazon for 20%+ off.
76016. I wouldn't mind Powerman, but the rest of the set is horrid, so unless someone sells it for $5 a no-buy for me. And just side note: would it have really been that hard to make the copter black or dark blue with S.H.I.E.L.D. stickers? At least it would have looked decentish and been half way useful...
76017. Definite buy, although I wish the Hydra goon had been in black...
76018. Meh, not much interest, unless it gets a hefty discount somewhere.

ERMAHGERD MODOK! :D
And that Elektro is neatokeen!
However, that Spider-Helicopter is a new level of engineering stupid. I mean, it's worse than the large Agents helicopter that had intermeshing twin rotors (like an eggbeater) AND a tail rotor it totally didn't need. And stupider than the Wolverine Chopper Showdown helicopter which had TWO tail rotors (seriously?).
This Spider-Helicopter has a main rotor and a tail rotor, which is fine. However, it's also got two tilting ducted rotors, like a tilt-rotor. What the hell?!?!? Does Marvel design these things?

In my view,

Spider trike looks rather dull but may buy just for figurs.

Doc Oc Heist, looks particularly good especially the figure, will buy this one as long as it's £20.

Spider copter, definitely avoiding, a complete eyesore and I don't like that green goblin figure.

Captain America, very good set, definitely buying.

Hulk Lab, I like this set a lot so may buy it space depending.

By in United States,

I think i might buy the spider-trike if it goes on sale, just for that electro fig. Besides that though, I'm not huge into LEGO super heroes so I won't be buying the rest.

By in United States,

Electro is a great minifigure, and so is Power Man, however I am getting sick of the Spider-Man sets. The Avengers Assemble sets, however, are amazing. I love the tank and Red Skull. Not to mention purple pants Hulk and MODOK!!

By in United States,

My favorite part of marvel waves are when I collect my villain figures and cause them all to team up against the marvel heroes in an epic clash against good and evil!!!!!!! So I might get the doc oc even though I already have the movie one. I'll get red skull for sure! Modoc is an enemy to pretty much every marvel character so I'll get him maybe I'll get the task master guy screw it I'll get the whole set! electro useful I hate spidey vehicles though and green goblin....NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have the movie one which is better. So I guess spider trike set but use the trike parts for something else. The rest I'll get. also am I the only one who noticed that that police officer is same one used in two face and arkahm asylum?

Boring, where are the X-Men?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I can't believe an ERMAHGERD made it onto Brickset. I took ages to work out what on earth that meme meant when I saw it, maybe I'm being all uppity and snobbish but I'm a little disappointed. ;)

Is it just me or is that Geordi LaForge?

ERMAHGERD pip pip cheerio! :D

By in United States,

The minifigures in this wave are fantastic. But I would love to see sets with more modular-type builds than the countless stream of boring vehicles that we get. Where is the X-Mansion? The Baxter Building? Avengers tower? Not to mention the huge missed opportunities of not having sets based on Thor: The Dark World and The Winter Soldier. :-(
