Posted by ,

After several days of bits and pieces, the go-kart is now complete.

Not much more to say about it really...

What happened to reviewing the Friends calendar, too?

The bench was better...

I think it's better than the "Fire buggy" in the 2012 calendar

This year's City Advent Calendar is the first I've ever bought.
I admit, it certainly isn't something to write home about, but I would like to say this without stepping on any toes. While the Mods or Admin may not feel very enthusiastic about them at times, they really shouldn't just give them ho-hum reviews, or be skipping some days completely. A lot of people actually look forward to these calendars - City, Friends and Star Wars. Perhaps for next year find a mod or some volunteer that is interested in them. And if reviews aren't the way to go, then how about simply doing a daily 'reveal'?
Just some thoughts on the matter...

I thought the I-Pod dock in the Friends calendar was pretty cute, not worth a pic? I guess it could make it into an ensemble shot in a day or two and that would be nice enough. :)

@legogeek I agree. I thought it was a good choice on Huws part to have Capnrex do the star wars calendar. Maybe a friends specialist could do the friends calendar, and a city specialist do the city calendar.

Huw, I really think you should say a little more in these reviews. People (and myself) would like to know more. CapnRex is doing a great job in discription and I'm a little disappointed with the value of yours. Please tell more :)

Have to agree on the above comments, what do you expect, it's a £20 advent calendar! The 2013 City edition is my first Lego advent calendar and I have to say it's a really fun way of counting down the days to Christmas! :D

If you don't mind I would like to do a shameless plug and say visit http://ozbricknation.blogspot.com.au/ for all 3 Advent calendars reviews... Even though Capnrex101 is doing a fantastic job of reviewing the SW Calendar Huw is still doing the photos. That would be over 50 photos so far that would need to be taken and edited if he did all 3. I'm sure Huw has a lot of other things to do for the site as well as normal life.. I'm a stay at home dad with more time on my hands then most folks out there, hence I am able to do them all, albeit not as good as Huw... but I try. :)
But being in Australia and the different timezones we are a day ahead with the Calendars.

The best thing about the calender is the amount of spare parts. The pictures on the box are just too much of a give-away of what is in there, but the spares - you never know what you will get. I like that. :)

@Isabella - It's been boring for a whole week? That's a rude thing to say.
