1. 6841: Mineral Detector
(1980) The 1980s kicked off the box size for Classic Space. This would last until the Space theme was phase out before 2000. The small sets started with 6821, the larger small sets with this set 6841.

2. 6842: Small Space Shuttle Craft
(1981) The second set in the size range, this one was a flying craft to differientiate it from the previous ground vehicle.

3. 6844: Sismobile
(1983) There was no set in this size in 1982 and the number that was reserved for 1982 was skipped, which suggests that there was a set that probably never saw the light of day.

4. 6846: Tri-Star Voyager
(1984) Surprisingly another number was skipped in between, but there were no intervening year. This was one of the first small craft to feature a detachable little jet.

(1985) This set breaks the white or red minifig by including a yellow minifig.

6. 6848: Inter-Planetary Shuttle
(1985) This set was not released internationally. The number was reused in the future for a Futuron set.

7. 6845: Cosmic Charger
(1986) The set number indicates that the set was probably designed at about 1984, but was delayed for release by a couple of years for some weird unknown reason.

8. 6849: Satellite Patroller
(1987) The introduction of Futuron also included a change in the size of the boxes of this series from a rectangular box with a hanger flap to a almost-square box with no hanger flap.

9. 6848: Strategic Pursuer
(1988) This is one of the few sets (and even fewer Space sets) where the set number has already been used previously for another set.

10. 6850: Auxiliary Patroller
(1989) The numbering trend continued for Futuron for the third year in a row. Futuron was pretty much Classic Space with new minifigs.

11. 6851: Tri-Wheeled Tyrax
(1991) This size was not popular with the individual themes of the 1990s. It only made an appearance three times after Futuron. It skipped Blacktron, Space Police and M:tron and this is its first appearance for Blacktron 2.

12. 6852: Sonar Security
(1993) Eventhough the Space Police II was introduced in 1992, this set was only introduced in 1993, almost as if it was an afterthought.

13. 6854: Alien Fossilizer
(1996) This is the final time that the set size appeared for the Space subtheme in the number range. The set number 6853 was not used suggesting that there was probably a Spyrius set in the range that never made it out commercially.
