BrickList: Sets that Resemble Household Utensils and Other Equipment

Sets that Resemble Household Utensils and Other Equipment

This compilation of sets is a handy tool for anyone looking to adorn their homes, cottages, kingdoms or desktop backgrounds with what are, without any doubt, superb efforts by the Lego company to make replicas of household utensils through their crafty manufactures.

Magnificently littered with a range of significantly gray Star Wars battleships, cruisers and other 'things,' this list is definitive and a panacea for all Star Wars fans, non-fans and slavish devotees. The recommendations made for the proper utilization of these sets are in no way prescriptive and should be tested thoroughly before being put into practical use. Use this list at your own risk. Enjoy.

1. 6211: Imperial Star Destroyer

This chunky little number is perfect for straightening out the creases in your crumpled garments. In many ways no different to AN IRON, use this "Star Destroyer" to neaten your shirts, trousers and handkerchiefs. The fairly large protruding cockpit at the top acts as the handle for the iron and is usable in a wide range of situations, but mostly within the household, despite its bulkiness. It is highly recommended that the iron (6211) be used in conjunction with "628-1: X-Large Baseplate Grey" in order to make full use of the product.

2. 628: X-Large Baseplate Grey

Best put into use with "6211-1 Imperial Star Destroyer" this is perhaps the handiest tool Lego have ever made. A multipurpose utensil, this "baseplate" when turned upside down can best be used as AN IRONING BOARD for ironing your clothes. Other uses include a chopping board, carom table, pillow and battleground for the most brutal Lego-wars you can ever possibly imagine. Use your originality and 628-1 will accomplish even your wildest fantasies. Regular cleaning of the flat side of the plate is recommended, preferably with a damp cloth, as the blood stains smeared upon the field of battle are often hard to scrub off with ordinary materials.

3. 7662: Trade Federation MTT

This one tops the lot. It is a 'multipurpose' set in every sense of the word. Just let it sit on a table and it will achieve whatever you would have it do. When viewed from a profile angle, this brown block resembles a mound of archaic excess. When placed upon your head, it acts as ridiculous headgear. When thrown on the ground it is a derelict heap of rubbish. Yes, whatever you desire, this "MTT" delivers. It is perhaps the epitome of multipurpose toys and is accordingly closest to the heart of many Star Wars fans, who are, without a doubt, putting it into good original use as you read this.

4. 10179: Ultimate Collector's Millennium Falcon

This set has rather limited uses due to its gargantuan, easily monstrous proportions, but its uncanny defenestration value nevertheless makes it a handy utensil for the ordinary human being, whatever that may be. Its primary usage is that of a WINDOW BREAKER. It can easily penetrate almost all substances when hurled at with considerable force. Glass windows, however, are the most common victims of "10179-hurling" as it has come to be called, as it is in such a direction (out the window) that they are most likely to be hurled (for clearly obvious reasons).

NOTE: It may interest you to know that certain rural communities currently inhabiting the unfashionable fringes of the Milky Way have wisely adopted "10179-hurling" as a sort of ritualistic religion. They hurl this Brobdingnagian collection of gray bricks at windows as a rite of passage to adulthood. Their young are bequeathed with this monstrosity at the age of 7, after which they are trained in the art of "10179-hurling" by an experienced elder, or Master. The whole Master-Apprentice thing applies here too and fabled Sith myths such as that of the Darth Defenestrator are clandestinely uttered in kitchens and other domestic habitats.

5. 7658: Y-wing Fighter

This one's my personal favorite. Fundamentally a GOLF-TEE, this "Y-Wing Fighter" must be placed upright with its 2 prongs facing down flat on a table, after which a golf ball or similar object can be placed upon the nose of the ship. Use "6208-1 B-Wing Fighter" as a club and swing to you hearts content. Moreover, with the help of a rubber-band or another such elastic string-like material, it can also be used as a catapult. Definitely the most enjoyable utensil created by the Lego group.

6. 6208: B-wing Fighter

To be used with "7658-1 Y-Wing Fighter" wherewith it can be used as a GOLF CLUB. It also has minimal use as a fly-swatter. Do not swing this Wing in the vicinity of people unless you strongly desire a broken nose.

7. 6210: Jabba's Sail Barge

And finally, the item that is a household name in all homes around the world. This "Sail Barge" is that trusty item we all seek when in a savage, furious, frustrated mood. It is that item on which we can release all our violent emotions. Its easy rebuild ability makes it the perfect item for breaking, so folks, whenever you feel the need to vent some anger, vent it on this number; it will give you immense satisfaction to see this one shatter to pieces. Guaranteed.
