About Brickset

Brickset.com -- 10th anniversary!

Brickset.com has been the premier LEGO set database on the Internet since 1997. Originally set up to record the myriad of promotional sets that were appearing at that time, it has expanded over the years to become the definitive reference on LEGO sets released after 1980. You will find information on many earlier sets but we are aware of many gaps in our coverage.

Brickset.com was designed and developed by Huw Millington using ASP.NET 2.0, XHTML 1.0 Strict, CSS 2.1, JavaScript and a sprinkling of AJAX. This version, which went live in March 2007, is the 5th major revision of the site. To see previous versions check out the Wayback Machine's archives. Database maintenance is primarily done by Grahame Reid. You can contact us using the contact form.

Browser support

Being written using modern web standards, the site should be appear as intended and be usable in all current browsers. It has been tested in Internet Explorer 7, Firefox 1.5 and 2.0, and Opera 9. In addition it has been tested in Internet Explorer 6 but due to that browser's inadequate support for web standards, there are a few minor visual problems.

I do not have a Mac at my disposal so I have been unable to test in that environment.

Accessibility

Brickset.com has been designed using modern web standards to be accessible to all. The site exceeds WCAG 1 level A standard for accessibility. However, we are always pleased to hear from you should you have difficulty using the site or can offer suggestions for improvement.
