I love google alerrs. I use it all the time for my company. Thou I do find that it does send a lot of false things about my company. The reason for that is that the name of my company is a common name.

I hate google alerts. I use it to track stuff about my puzzle game, Xye. And all I get is updates in random social sites from people called Xye >(

Though this article almost redeems them. Even the brick testament made an appearance in this article. What it lacks is pics, unfortunately. The meccano guys better shut up though.

I found the article by 'The Independent' offensive to me and all other LEGO enthusiasts. The writer of the article is a fool to think that LEGO is just a hobby for boys and men; I have 4 sisters and 3 of them play with LEGOs every day! The only reason my oldest sister doesn't play with LEGOs is because she's in college. My sisters make great creations that I struggle with, like houses and playgrounds; my sisters even helped me build a giant clubhouse that was chosen as a winner for a LEGO Club competion! So don't tell me that LEGOS are only for guys. I also don't like the subtle dig the writer makes about the price of LEGOs, examplified with the comment about the 'father being the one with the wallet' at the end of the article. Despite pointing out some good things about LEGOs, like their use in therapy and design, I found this article to be pretty negative towards LEGOs.

The title of the "The Independent" article including the word "they" is very annoying, clearly displaying the "them" and "us" point of view that portrays AFOLs as aliens or something.

I found the version in the Independent's newish tabloid ( i ) to be kind of inaccurate.....

Made me LOL mentioning a 'life-size' Buzz Lightyear. How big was it.. a few inches? Such a contradictory statement it becomes amusing.

And wow, you guys are so thin skinned, there's very little reason to be offended by the article, slightly miffed perhaps but really.. Lego IS very expensive, and adults that 'play with toys' do get second looks from most 'normal' individuals. Also..'Them and us'? 'Build it and they will come' is a common phrase, and when speaking of a building toy it's quite an obvious one to add to an articles title. It hardly implys that AFOLs are strange, in fact the AFOLs are more likely to be the ones that would 'build it' and the spectators/kids are the 'they' who come to gawk at it. Does the article really seem so sinister to you guys?
