2011 sets hit the UK (at last)

Several people have emailed today to say they've found 2011 sets in online shops and in real ones too.

Supertoys.co.uk is listing the Star Wars sets but whether they actually have them, and in the UK is another matter. They are owned by superspeelgoed.nl by the looks of things, who always lists things early. (Thanks burakki62)

Commander-Cody found NinjaGo sets in his local WHS in Poole: "They had the starter arena set #2257, Cole (the Earth ninja) spinner set and one of the skeleton spinner sets. The single spinner sets were £9.99 and the starter set £14.99, although it had no price label. "

And, finally, veron4 found Series 3 minifigs in Fenwicks in Canterbury and bought a box of them.

So if you're venturing out this weekend in the appalling weather we have forecast, good luck tracking them down!

Places like WHS sometimes mostly make their lego more expensive than anywhere else so it may be a little bit cheaper elsewhere

@ legobagel: I felt the same too when I realised there were NinjaGo sets whilst Xmas shopping

@ legoman98: that's true, they had all other sets extremely overpriced. The Typhoon Turbo Sub was £30 instead of £20, for example. But all other sets from 2009 and 2010 were overpriced similarly. I expect the spinner sets to be priced at about £8-£9 elsewhere, and the starter set at about £12.99 or so.

What I said was exactly true about availability there though. They literally only had one of each of the aforementioned sets - no copies. I'm checking out TRU locally soon (next 2-3 days) so I'll report back once I see how their availability is. Haven't seen any series 3 collectible minifigs yet though, and I did check a lot of shops in Poole's main shopping area.

I was hoping to see some 2011 sets in Germany when over there recently. No luck. A *lot* of some older sets still in stock though, and of course SP3 which never made it to UK/Ireland stores. Also lots of Series 2 minifigs still. They've been gone months here in IRL. Will have to check Smyths Toys here soon for 2011 sets. They sometimes have the new sets early enough.
