$6 for Army Men! If I could I'd buy 10-20 boxes, but they won't ship to the UK... (thanks cjg)

Update: as is often the case at Amazon, the prices have now risen again, sorry if you missed out!

Wow! Thanks. :-) With those kinds of deals, I might splurge for the Buzz.

EDIT: I just clicked on one of them, and it's actually *much* closer to Lego's original price. The Buzz one, that is. The other three are much closer to what's here, and great bargains. :-)

I don't think the "Best Price" is actually the price, it's just what some lucky person once got for it. The actual price is the "Buy New" price.

I'm happy about the Freeing Dobby one though. :D

If there's a lower 'Best Price' it's because someone in the 'Amazon Marketplace' is selling it for that price, but as is the case with Buzz, the merchant with the lowest headline price charges the most postage ($8 in this case)

Posted by Zacherano in United States, 21 Dec 2010 17:04

Well, that certainly makes a difference. When it's new super saver free shipping, Amazon postage can be extremely annoying.

Wow, I...need...Army Men! If only I could too :-(

Posted by JELJ1s in United States, 21 Dec 2010 17:10

Just ordered 3 of the army men for 5.99 each. That is the most I could do on 1 order. gonna try for more.

Update: I tried to order additional but because I already ordered 3 on my acct it won't allow for the purchase of more.

I will definitely be buying at least a half-dozen boxes of Army Men at this price! I only have two boxes as of now but every time I see them, I am tempted to buy more. Thanks for the news!

Sale ...Not again. I wish all people that I know were AFOL 's then all my christmas shopping would have been done! Lego is for everybody!

Posted by grelb32 in United States, 21 Dec 2010 17:42

Rats, I just went to Toys R Us and spent $15 to get Dobby's Release a few days ago! Grr... now I'm going to go sulk in a corner and disgustedly eye my overpriced set that I could've gotten for two fifths of the amount........ :-(

Posted by mlavwilson in United States, 21 Dec 2010 17:53

The limit of three does not get you to the free shipping price point. This is a ploy to get you to buy more, then add on fast shipping to get by Christmas.

Anyway, thanks for the heads up, I ordered three.

I bought two last week with BOGO50% and it turned out to be the same price. If you want just sign up for a free month of Prime and make sure to cancel it.

My dad was willing to buy 10+ but there was a limit of 3 per order. Plus I then needed $25 for free shipping, so I got the Harry Potter and Atlantis cheaps sets. Well at least I bought 3... would've been real happy with ten though! Now I'll see them sometime after never because they're off to my aunt's place! LOL! Thanks Brickset!

Posted by cjg in United States, 21 Dec 2010 22:27

@Ypres: You're lucky to get three, I didn't get any. :( I was about to, but then the prices went back up.
