Grogall has uncovered some nice hi-res pictures of series 4 figs, including the previously missing Geisha girl.

While on the subject of new images, a certain Dutch toy shop has published previously unseen images of the Maersk train. I'm not going to provide direct links as LEGO is trying to keep them under wraps, but clearly isn't doing a very good job. Just search for the set number... (thanks typo)

Woohoo! I was looking for a Geisha cartoon style image,

Posted by skherbeck in United States, 02 Feb 2011 12:04

Wow, set 10219 is awesome... love that they have a power functions set to go with it! (Wish the power functions parts were included in the train set, though).

Thanks to Grogall ! I'm definitely looking forward to series 4 more than 3. The S3 Samurai and the S4 Geisha will go nicely with the Ninjago theme. I just wish they could design some kind of waist so Lego Ladies could bend ...

Posted by madforLEGO in United States, 02 Feb 2011 12:20

Neat .. I really like the Hazmat guy.. the Geisha is nice as well...
All in All I almost want to say this set is better than Series 3.
As for the train.. SWEET..

I was excited initially about the Maersk train. Now, I'm practically gasping for air.
It looks absolutely amazing - and I'm sure TLG is going to love to hear this out of my mouth: it won't matter how much it costs, I am going to buy like, 3 of them.

Posted by Alemas in Germany, 02 Feb 2011 13:49

Is 2011 becoming THE best LEGO year EVER? Certainly looks like...

Posted by modena in Italy, 02 Feb 2011 13:59

Great! As Alemas is saying, there are lots of new stuff in 2011! Look at all the Bricklists!
Great to have the last image for the series 4 figs!

I can't wait for the Maersk train to be released. I really hope this is released in the US. I'm dissapointed that the new image couldn't be saved, unlike the previous one...

Posted by cjc in United Kingdom, 02 Feb 2011 14:34

@Southpaw - Use a program like Screenhunter

Wow. Thanks to Grogall for the Wonderful new pictures. Although I am not into the collectible minifigures, the hazmat guy does look great and I just might have to pick up a few of him!

As for the new Maersk Train, I am lost for words. The train itself is extremely detailed and has an amazing color scheme. The return of the ultra-rare Maersk Blue construction helmets is good too. The truck looks pretty nice and the inclusion of two cargo cars makes this set a must have. However, there are a ridiculous amount of stickers!
I will be buying at least two copies of this set. (To convert to 9v of course).

IMHO minifigs series 4 is the best series so far. Thanks for the missing image, Grogall.
I'm very excited for the Maersk train, too.

AWESOME! The series 4 minifigs are very cool! Question: Do they sell the minifigs series at stores like Target or WalMart?!? I never seem to find them!!

Posted by IlovePowerMiners in United Kingdom, 02 Feb 2011 15:48

Ran price on toy shop through currency conversions, and the full kit with PF should be $200! Still, not bad considering it is in fact a Maersk liscenced set, and keep in mind that the Emerald Night was around $150 if you factor in all of the PF that you could include.

Posted by meyerc13 in United States, 02 Feb 2011 16:24

@LeiaR2D2 - Yes, Target has them in the seasonal section (Valentine's right now). At Wal Mart you'll find them in the toy section. With Series 2, Wal Mart had them in a sidecap display. With Series 3 they were on the shelves, so hunt around the entire toy section. Borders and Toys R Us also carry the minifigs, as do many smaller local LEGO retailers.

Posted by suckerpunch83 in Canada, 02 Feb 2011 19:09

WOW 1235 pieces for the Train. I'm sure the cost will likely be over $150 US.......

Posted by Zordboy in Australia, 02 Feb 2011 19:30

I love the train so much, but my wallet is already on life-support...

Edit -- having said that, look at the bottom picture. The train doesn't seem to come with any power functions or electronics (the picture seems to say that you have to buy those separately). Which is good, because it will keep the price down. A little bit.

I broke but I have to have all of Series 4 with lots of Vikings, I want to do a monumental MOC with them!

Posted by madforLEGO in United States, 02 Feb 2011 20:39

@suckerpunch83: I have heard 120

Posted by rabk295 in United States, 02 Feb 2011 20:41

Okay, as a Viking theme fan who has nearly all of the sets, I am certainly picking up as many of those vikings as possible, no matter WHAT my mom says. And as many of the other guys as well ;)

Posted by Odeinoichus in Canada, 02 Feb 2011 20:42

I just managed to find a source of Series 3 and scored 9 unique figures from that set already, more than Series 1 and definitely more than the 0 Series 2 I got, since I kept passing it up when it was in abundant stock at Wal-Mart in favor of getting stuff that was on sale for my Transformers collection.

That being said, Series 4 looks really great, I just wish that the male to female ratio would even out a little bit, some of the jobs being given in these Collectible Sets can be either male or female, so why not give us unique jobs/sports activities with unique female Mini-Figs... There are Punk Girl Guitarists after all.

I'm going to need at least five or six Hockey Players to make my own LEGO Hockey Team to have in LEGO City, I hope it won't be too hard to collect these guys.

Haveing no idea what this Maersk Train looks like I have to admit I'm not sure on wether or not I'm interested in it. I'd love to get Emerald Night and the LEGO City Trains because I've always wanted a LEGO train of some type, personally I'd love to see them bring back the Monorail. With their new partnership with Disney I'd love, LOVE, LOVE for them to make a Walt Disney Land/World Sub-Theme including sets to represent Main Street USA, Frontier Land (complete with Davy Crocket Mini-Figure and Zorro.), Adventure Land, Fantasy Land (With the Magic Kingdom's Castle.) and Tomorrow Land, with a special Monorail set to connect all of them together. Sure it'd be expensive, but having a LEGO Disney Theme Park for my LEGO Mini-Figures to visit and my LEGO Disney Themed sets to populate would be all kinds of awesome...

I digress however. I'm looking forward to Series 4 with bated breath and the Maersk Train may jump onto my wants list provided I can save up the cash for it and like the look of the set once I see it in pictures/person.

LEGO Disney Walt Disney Land/World Resort Theme, I'm still hoping for you, even if it is a foolish dream. But just imagine, LEGO Mini-Figures dressed up in Mickey and Minnie costumes like the Gorilla Suit Guy, they'd fit in just nicely.

Posted by IlovePowerMiners in United Kingdom, 02 Feb 2011 22:09

@madforlegos I believe that is the price without buying all the PF.

Posted by BrianOg in France, 03 Feb 2011 04:04

I'm pretty sure that they are quoting €135 to buy all of the PF accessories. This does not include the train, which is priced at €0 currently, meaning it will probably cost more than €0. Probably ;)
Has anyone heard of set n° 88002, a PF train motor? Is it a misprint or a new PF train motor?

Posted by Buckbrick in Singapore, 03 Feb 2011 04:43

Gosh I hope they launch this set soon. Looking at the image of the PF set, the diesel loco looks like a smaller model that is either meant to drive the 10219 train, or just an alternate model for illustration. If it's the latter, what of integrating the PF into 10219 then? How curious. I have to say that I'm not so enthusiastic about the amount of stickers though...

Posted by dj_hardbeat in Netherlands, 03 Feb 2011 06:02

The 88002 set is a trainmotor inclusing wheels like the one used in the 7938 and 7939 set. BRICKshop has listed this set (service pack) as well: http://www.brickshop.nl/bekijk-alle-producten-uit-de-winkel.html?keyword=88002.

Posted by KLF in Slovakia, 03 Feb 2011 06:11

But 88002 must be a Netherland special set because LEGO S@H, LUGnet, Bricklink, Brickset and Peeron don't know this set.

Posted by lego_nutt in United Kingdom, 03 Feb 2011 06:47

I like these more than the Series 3

Posted by Alexdiazb in France, 03 Feb 2011 07:13

Hey guys, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but I just bought yesterday the Series 3 minifigures and got 2 extra Aliens, 1 extra Pilot, 1 extra Rapper and 1 extra Tenis Girl. Is there any chance someone would like to swap them against the one I've missed? The Fisherman, The Snowboard Girl, The Knight, The F1 Race man, and the Baseball player? That could be great :D

Posted by Zordboy in Australia, 03 Feb 2011 07:58

Just to back up what I suspected earlier, I ran the text accompanying the images through Babel fish (forgive me, I don't speak Dutch) and the final lines said, "...This set is provided without rails and without engine. These are apart available." Which I think is reassuring, since it'll definitely keep the price lower (without the electronic motor and such).

Posted by dj_hardbeat in Netherlands, 03 Feb 2011 11:26

88002 is a regular set as well as 88000 the battery box from 7938 and 7939. This will be available soon as well as the 10219 ;-) NICE YOUTUBE VIDEO!

Posted by madforLEGO in United States, 03 Feb 2011 12:54

@ILovePowerMiners: Most definitely.. sorry I did not clarify that...

Posted by voypro in United States, 03 Feb 2011 16:37

Best assortment so far, i hope there is closer to flat distribution of each figure, none of this 2 of this one and 5 of that one garbage. Hazmat is the coolest.

Posted by BrickManBrick in United States, 03 Feb 2011 21:06

Awesome! I really can't wait until Minifig Series 4 comes out. Also does anyone know the date Series 4 is coming out?

Posted by IlovePowerMiners in United Kingdom, 03 Feb 2011 22:05

Late, late this month judging from how early previous waves came.

Posted by ensign_dave in United Kingdom, 04 Feb 2011 07:45

I was just about to ask the same question BrickManBrick - when is the "official" release date for series 4?

Posted by bluemoose in United Kingdom, 04 Feb 2011 13:20

April

Posted by skipper1011 in United States, 04 Feb 2011 19:12

I want ALL of the series 4 minifigs. Do NOT count on getting one of the minifigs because they will all be mine*EVIL LAUGHTER*. :D

Posted by brixton in Canada, 05 Feb 2011 11:32

Which mini-figures from series 4 does everyone think will be in limited quantities (e.g., 2 or 3 per box)? Which mini-figures from series 4 does everyone think will be the hot commodity, the one that everyone will want?

For series 1, I think it was the cheerleader, series 2 the spartan and series 3 the elf (which I still don't have). I don't have the cheerleader either.

Posted by cjg in United States, 05 Feb 2011 11:42

^^But how are you going to get them all if I ALREADY have them ALL? MWAHAHAHAHA!!! (jk)

Posted by cjg in United States, 05 Feb 2011 11:43

@brixton: I think the zombie was actually the one people wanted in S1. For S4 I would say Viking and maybe the Footballer. (Soccer player)

Posted by brixton in Canada, 06 Feb 2011 08:28

@cjg: I think you may be right on the zombie. I remember a lot of talk about that fig. Admittedly, that's the one fig from s1 that I didn't want. I can't wait for series 4 though. I think that will be my last collectible mini-figure purchase based on what I've seen so far for series 5.

Posted by skipper1011 in United States, 06 Feb 2011 20:41

Personally I thonk that the hazmat guy will be the hardest to get because everyone wants him including me.Luckily I got the elf from series 3 JUST a couple of days ago.I think that so far series 4 WILL e the best. 4 sure.
I am ;however, not impressed with series 5.

Posted by dj_hardbeat in Netherlands, 09 Feb 2011 10:51

I have just been told some series 4 minifigs will be available at www.brickshop.nl tomorrow! How is that possible? WoW!
