A couple of emails were received today with some interesting shopping news:

    * Pre-order LEGO Star Wars 3 at Game and receive a mini Tie fighter (8028). There's no mention of the offer on their website, so it's probably in-store only. (thanks Matt)

    * This year's airline exclusive set, 7696, can be bought online from British Airways. When avacadoturban told me this earlier today he said the site was showing 6 available. I bought two shortly afterwards and now it is unfortunately temporarily unavailable. So if you want one, check back in a week or so. The 'Brickset effect' struck before it was even posted here :-)

sweet, i'll be flying to bulgaria in may via British airways-does anyone know if it will be availible on the flights then? thanks

Does Bulgaria count as long haul ? I doubt it.
Looks pretty rubbish anyway, unless there's actually a BA sticker on the tail in which case it'd be worth having.....

I would actually like it maybe for £6.99 from a physical shop (no shipping) but for £15 and £3 shipping it's not worth it. It hasn't got any special parts either.

Looks like set 1775. Nonetheless, I think it's a cool looking small plane.

For the cost of that little plane that has been done to death I would just buy the $40 one that was release a year or two ago.

I would love one of these European exclusives. Any UK collectors want to pick one up and trade me for a US Exclusive?

After watching Heston's Mission Impossible yesterday I don't think I'll be flying by British Airways for a while :)

The 'Brickset Effect' must be growing stronger :) At least I managed to order my 2 Commuter Jets - didn't fancy a longhaul flight just for LEGO (although I was tempted).

Damn it! I pre-ordered LSWIII from Amazon, saved £9 but the mini Tie Fighter! :( Oh wells. Probably saved more money on Amazon, but then when it comes we are going ski-ing and I didn't get the demo, i really want to play it!

ok, that is great news! I also heard from a friend in Germany that it will also be available on Lufthansa soon. If it is the same as previous years, It should also be available on KLM and SAS ... I will try to get one or two to add on the growing plane/jet collection ;)

That is really disappointing about the computer jet. I was really looking forward to that one. I thought it would be in stores or at least at the LEGO store.

The Star Wars game is still not out? I am getting abit annoyed at these unoriginal LEGO games...
