Posted by yys4u in United States, 11 Mar 2011 10:21

@burakki62 haha me too! I've been checking multiple sites multiple times a day waiting for any news on spottings!
I think lego musta chewed out stores that had early releases last time cause they seem to be sticking to the release date this time, I swear with all the other series by this time we already had sightings all over.

Posted by bluemoose in United Kingdom, 11 Mar 2011 10:33

I popped into a TRU (Milton Keynes) last night, just on the off-chance they'd had a delivery ... no series 4, but they still had loads of series 3.

Posted by timhook22 in United States, 11 Mar 2011 10:46

Does TRU ever discount the older series?

Posted by DrDaveWatford in United Kingdom, 11 Mar 2011 10:48

Great review of the s. 4 figs over at Eurobricks. Looks like the Mad Scientist will be the rarest fig this time round (only 2 in the box).

Posted by Andhe in United Kingdom, 11 Mar 2011 11:18

Amazon is saying a release date of April 1st (No joke).

The numbers per box is probably true. My box have the same numbers.
I got it monday, had ordered it wednesday, at eurotoys.dk.
After looking at their site, I can tell they deliver all over the world.
The price ca. 1000 DKR(100£/200$) for a box + shipping.

They certainly aren't too far away.... :-) http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=42935&id=173154106049488

Posted by yellowcastle in United States, 11 Mar 2011 12:22

Based on the first 3 series release schedules, these could start showing up at TRU in the U.S. anytime now...

Posted by izziebitt in United States, 11 Mar 2011 12:50

we still have something like 30 boxes of s.3 at the LEGO store i work at. hopefully, we will get that many of s.4 since it looks like a great set of figs.

@yys4u and I thought it was just me! I have lego news sites bookmarked on my phone so I can keep upto date (o:

Posted by teal93mr2 in United States, 11 Mar 2011 14:24

Well I certainly hope they aren't too hard to find. I would like to purchase a case of 60, but that may be impossible without paying an arm and a leg on eBay.

Posted by yellowcastle in United States, 11 Mar 2011 15:26

@ teal93mr2 - I would imagine you will be able to buy a box from the Lego stores since TLG has produced so many more S3 and S4 minifigs...

Posted by Snickerdoodle han solo12 in United States, 11 Mar 2011 15:46

Cool! I will check it out soon.:)

Posted by Ypres in Canada, 11 Mar 2011 16:42

What I do is just order 16 from Lego.com and then buy the ones I don't have at Walmart... then all I have to do is return my doubles (from Lego) to Walmart. That just saves me a lot of time spent feeling the bags which by the end makes me want to assault everyone in the store. As always, I'm looking forward to Series 4!

Posted by madforLEGO in United States, 11 Mar 2011 16:57

You probably cannot buy a box in a Lego store, but you probably can at a TRU or TRU.com and get free shipping again (they were gouging people around Christmas for Series 3) I think TRU will have them for 2.99 per and free shipping over 100 dollars, I do not think you will easily find them anywhere else for cheaper than that...

Posted by Zacherano in United States, 11 Mar 2011 17:07

Wow these look like the best yet for sure! I would personally rate Series 2 and Series 4 the highest, but I don't actually own any Series 4 figs yet, so I can't say for sure. Great Eurobricks review! Thanks Huw. :-)

Posted by Seagull in United States, 11 Mar 2011 19:05

Speaking of minifigures, I got a fisherman today!! He's super cool. :) Anyway, this will be the best wave yet!!!

Posted by gardenom in United States, 11 Mar 2011 22:04

^ my son got the fisherman. It's very cute. And I scored an elf the other day at the comic book store. First try, too. I really like this series. Want the hockey player.

Posted by Seagull in United States, 11 Mar 2011 22:28

Elf is pretty sweet. I picked up 2. :D

Posted by c.lee.r in United States, 11 Mar 2011 22:31

i like all of these. in series 3 i got luck and walmart put out an endcap of them. got tired of going trough them at the store so i just bought them all. returned the ones that i did not want. i opened one set and kept one sealed. all others returned. will never buy these from TRU since they like to be over priced and rip off the costomers. love the guitar guy have a guitar that looks close to that one.

Posted by TBOC in United States, 11 Mar 2011 22:52

Seriously? I just started on Series 3 ... I have to get my last series 2 ones tomorrow, then hopefully the rest of Series 3 before April rolls by.

Posted by madforLEGO in United States, 12 Mar 2011 00:38

@DrDaveWatford: Yeah.. and the fisherman was 'RARE' (only two) in Series 3....until the next production run from Lego was released with the proper count.. I do not buy the rare 2 reason anymore..
At some point the figures will be min 3 per box like before.. just have to be patient and wait... I like seeing series 3 still available and now people are sweating on eBay who bought loads of these just to see them sitting in their homes trying to make large bucks off of them... Especially the fisherman

Anyone know what method of identifying the contents apart from feeling them is? Bar code/bump code. Looking forward to getting the punk rocker(making a band with exo force hair) hazmat guy, mad scientist, werewolf, Frankenstein. I can't believe these ppl are going to charge £6.95 for the hazmat guy tho! Total out and out robbery.

Looks like the S4 release date is imminent! Probably old news, but LEGO s@h in the UK have updated the CM microsite with S4, so it shouldn't be long now!

Posted by LeGoB12A21 in Canada, 12 Mar 2011 09:41

I ordered a set of series 3 on Ebay for US $54.99 and US $12 shipping. Thats better then spending $30 on gas and then buying the minifigures. They haven`t arrived yet,so Im hoping Monday(we didnt have mail Friday, too much snow). I'm also in luck, I'm going to Florida from April 1st to 8th and will be 5-10 minutes away from the LEGO store. They better have series 4 : )

Posted by starfire2 in United States, 12 Mar 2011 10:08

According to the April calendar they aren't due out until April 15th.

Posted by coolpix in United States, 12 Mar 2011 11:45

Any sightings of Series 2 still? I live in South Florida, but I can't find Series anymore. Have plenty of Serie 3, but still missing 9 Series 2 figs, and i don't want to get them overpriced on eBay. I've heard something about Borders having some, but the nearest one is like 30 miles away. Any other stores? anyone? Thanks!

Posted by coolpix in United States, 12 Mar 2011 11:47

Also, if someone has extra series 2 figs and would like to swap for some series 3, I am willing to :)

Posted by Sword2211 in United States, 12 Mar 2011 12:00

Bricklink is selling full boxes: 2.23 per pack plus shipping! I placed an order for 2 boxes.

Posted by Matthew in United Kingdom, 12 Mar 2011 12:09

@coolpix - I'll be your counterpart in the UK :-) I have all of Series 3 except the fisherman and rapper for trade. I would like HP Dementors, Possibly some Star Wars, and most of the rarer city ones, ie postman, civillians

Posted by madforLEGO in United States, 12 Mar 2011 13:04

@sword2211: Thanks, Can you also explain the amount of shipping and other fees charged by the seller in Europe?
I am guessing that is winding up near to what it would cost in the US when they are released here but I may order if it is cheaper...

UPDATE:
After communicating with the seller the 60 packs (did not say it would be a box included) would be about $133 USD, and a whopping 50 USD dollars (with insurance) to the US... also added in is a 4% paypal fee in addition to the shipping fees AND the guy is not sending anything out until the end of the month?!

I'll wait for these to arrive in the States... It will be about the same price.. Who cares about getting them a month after people in Europe if the price will actually cost me more to get them about the same time as they are released in the US?

Posted by crazyawesomeyeah in United States, 12 Mar 2011 14:37

I live in SW Ohio and today's Kroger Marketplace ad has series 4 pictured on the cover saying that you get a 4-pack for $7.99.

Anyone else see this? Is it really possible that they have them?

This mornings email advert from TRU shows: Series 3 - Buy one get 50% off March 13 to 19

Posted by burakki62 in United Kingdom, 13 Mar 2011 13:23

@coolpix I have plenty of series 2 I can trade with you

Posted by Zacherano in United States, 13 Mar 2011 13:32

@ didgeboy - I'll trade with you for a racecar driver, and I can give you many other Series 3 figures. What state are you in?

Posted by yys4u in United States, 13 Mar 2011 13:36

@jagdjh I can't see what your talking about through your link, it just shows a couple weekly specials.

@legogeek, perhaps this means TRU are trying to get rid of their remaining series 3 to make room for series 4! Maybe series 4 will come out during the sale as well, I got most of my series 3 collection through TRU BOBO 50% off.

Posted by jagdjh in United States, 13 Mar 2011 14:01

@yys4u. Sorry that link doesn't works...not sure why. To view the marketplace ad you seem to have to first find a marketplace location. Try entering 45231 zip code and check the marketplace box and select any location. A third weekly ad will be available to view then which is the one that has the Collectible minifigs pictured on the cover.

UPDATE: Just found that there is a pdf version of the ad that is a different link. Maybe this one will work.

Posted by starfire2 in United States, 13 Mar 2011 14:31

I wonder if that ad is a flub, because it says "Lego city 4 pack" the mini's are sold individually. Someone should let us know if they get any.

Posted by yys4u in United States, 13 Mar 2011 14:32

ahhhh got it..... *contemplates a drive from california to ohio..." lol

Posted by jagdjh in United States, 13 Mar 2011 14:54

I called one Kroger Marketplace location and they said they don't have them in stock. They did say they will be issuing rain-checks. Not sure what the ad means by 4-pack but $7.99 for four packages would be a good price so I may try to get a rain-check and see what happens when they have them in stock.

Posted by MinifigureMan in United Kingdom, 13 Mar 2011 15:24

Got the app mentioned, my new ones from 1 and 4 once collected don't show up as collected.

Posted by nexus15 in United States, 13 Mar 2011 16:30

Guys guys: the Kroger ad is VERY likely a slip-up. its either http://brickset.com/detail/?set=7279-1 or http://brickset.com/detail/?Set=8401-1. Not 7.99 for 4 collectible minifigs

Posted by starfire2 in United States, 13 Mar 2011 17:14

I was told by a TRU associate that they got a memo saying the new Lego sets would be delayed until May. But she did say to keep checking back.

Posted by skherbeck in United States, 13 Mar 2011 18:41

Today I checked the Easter section at Target... In the past, they usually had a shelf label reserved for the latest set of minifigures (series 2 at Halloween, Series 3 at Valentines Day), but there was no label anywhere for series 4 minifigs! They did have Ninjago polybags and a City fire vehicle polybag. I hope this doesn't mean Target won't carry series 4!

Posted by skipper1011 in United States, 13 Mar 2011 20:56

I so not freakin wait any longer!!! You are killing us TLG.

Posted by super curry max in United States, 14 Mar 2011 01:16

About the Kroger thing, it is most definitely set 8401. My local kroger has had mounds of those and 7955 wizard sets forever. Need or put that one on sale too.

Posted by ConfuzzledApples in United States, 14 Mar 2011 11:40

@Skherbeck: That's probably because Target won't get them until AFTER Easter.

Posted by Mathtrains in United States, 14 Mar 2011 19:42

The polybags might be the LEGO Easter selection for MARCH and the minifigures will serve as a refresh for Target shelves in APRIL. Easter is at the end of April and around here, any LEGO sets in the seasonal section sell out quickly. They might not have gotten permission from LEGO to release minifigures early, but got these instead.

does anyone know the upc code for series 4?

Posted by starfire2 in United States, 15 Mar 2011 21:06

I saw on EBay someone is selling random bags (in hand) located in Florida. The listing pic is a personal photo, not stock. Has anyone seen them in stores yet?

Posted by legowomen1980p in United States, 15 Mar 2011 23:18

I went to Toy R us today and I bought them Series 4.. at 3-15-11.. I found them at Toy R us in Algonquin,il..

The Gnome is the hardest one to find/ feel.. The Mad scientist "HAIR"is the easiest to feel.. besides the Musketeer.. that long thin sword.. almost impossible to read the markings on the bottom of the package.. the bio hazard guy's gun is easy to feel too.. along with the hockey players mask is unique. the skater's board, the surf Girl board.the Geisha Girls triangular red velvet dress and the head of Frankenstein.. But that is what I could feel..

Posted by yys4u in United States, 15 Mar 2011 23:42

@legowomen1980p I swear your one of the most connect people here...

Well so it begins, I guess I'll call some stores in my area see if anyone has them....

Posted by wildcherryp3psi in United States, 15 Mar 2011 23:54

@legowomen1980p how much were they at TRU and did they have a lot in stock?

Posted by starfire2 in United States, 16 Mar 2011 00:12

Did you get an item number so we can check our local TRU's?

Posted by didgeboy in United States, 16 Mar 2011 00:47

Post the barcode PLEASE, thank you.

Posted by legowomen1980p in United States, 16 Mar 2011 01:21

My receipt says
Lego mini figure series 4 $2.99
673419144995
062547 lego promo

the upc code is 673419144995

I also picked up some thought to be "Not sold anywhere, anymore" Indiana Jones Lego Ambush sets for $9.99..
IF you split up your sales you will get a free $14.99 value set with each $50.00 order.. I got two of them..

they only had 1 box, but they looked like they just got a big shipment of all other sets too.. they also had 2 boxes of series 3..

there is no limit on them...

Posted by starfire2 in United States, 16 Mar 2011 01:37

Awesome thanx. Are they limiting them ? If so how many?

Posted by JudgeHolden in United States, 16 Mar 2011 08:14

Picked up some of series 4 at a TRU in Georgia last night. Tried the feel method to nab the Hazard suit, Musketeer, hockey player and Viking, but I came away with Hazard suit (easy), sailor, figure skater and two vikings. May go back tonight to find the Musketeer and hockey player. I'd trade the figure skater for a cowboy, tribal hunter, super wrestler, forestman, caveman or pharaoh if anyone was interested.

Posted by didgeboy in United States, 16 Mar 2011 10:54

as great as the upc number is, a picture of the upc barcode is better so that the rest of us can check OTHER stores too. Cheers.

Posted by fergaj03 in United States, 16 Mar 2011 11:13

@JudgeHolden At which TRU in Georgia did you find series 4?

Posted by Jocko18869 in United States, 16 Mar 2011 11:37

To check TRUs in your area (in the U.S., anyway):

-- Call 1-800-869-7787
-- Press menu options 1, 3, and then 2
-- Give them ID number 578074

Then the operator can search all TRUs in your area to see if they're in stock, have been ordered, etc.

Posted by yys4u in United States, 16 Mar 2011 13:33

http://www.flickr.com/photos/sidersdd/5531914079/
Price was $2.99/each. I tried to BOGOHO, but they wouldn't ring up that way.
I put barcode photo up there too. http://www.flickr.com/photos/sidersdd/5532105409/
And, as expected, there are indeed some sort of bump/dot pattern on the Series 4 packages.

GUYS you can buy a box on eBay for $180 (pre-order) the same seller has boxes going off for $130-150 auction. Auction winners pay 15.00 shipping, but buy-it-now is free shipping. This saves you gas money and tax. Go on eBay and search 'lego series 4' in buy-it/now option.
