    Just a quick 'heads up', Series 4 collectable minifigs have been spotted in selected Tesco stores in the UK; multiple people have contacted us to report that some 'Tesco Extra' and 'Tesco At Home' stores have them in stock as of today, for £1.97 each.

    Update: I've just picked up a box from Tesco at West Quay, Southampton. There are 2.5 boxes left. I'll let you know the mix once I've opened them -- Huw.

    Update: The UK box consist is as follows:

    • 2: Mad scientist
    • 3: Gnome, Viking, Ice hockey player, Ice skater, Musketeer
    • 4: Geisha, Surf girl, Frankenstein's monster, Skateboarder, Footballer, Hazmat guy, Painter
    • 5: Punk rocker, Sailor, Werewolf

    So, bad news for anyone hoping to get 3 complete sets from a box :-(

Here in the West Coast of the USA, Series 4 is all over Fred Meyers. They have been putting out around 8 boxes of the set but have moved the price up to $2.99.

I wonder if they'll be in Tesco here in Ireland. I only just found a Tesco outlet with Series 3 last week - hadn't seen the minifigures in Tesco till then!

Series 4 are showing up as being available on 1st April in Smyths Toys on their online catalogue. No sign of them at Art & Hobby or Argos yet. GAME apparently have series 3 now, albeit at €3 (€2.50 in Smyths) but no sign of Series 4 there yet either.

Still plenty of Series 3 available here - availability seems to have increased again compared to Series 1 and 2.

@avacadoturban: Where did you see 3 cases of series 3 at Lee Mill? All I could see is a small cardboard box with a few leftovers in which was also there last week! I asked the woman at customer service she said they should have a delivery tomo and may be on there!

there were 3 boxes in Tesco North Harbour ... one opened and half empty. After I'd left there were only 2 boxes ;) They were on a neat cardbox display box, containing unopened boxes and an open one at the top.

I want mad scientists purely for the erlenmeyer flasks for a custom laboratory, now they're going to extra difficult to find. :( hopefully there'll be a later production run with a different figure count to balance things out a little.

I am guessing the 'rare' scientist will be like the 'rare' fisherman.. first run has an ultra rare one to build demand, then in the second, or main, run for the Lego release they will be 3 scientists and 4 punk rockers, or 4 of one of the other 5 counts in the box.

I concur on the selection in the box ... same in mine. I only made 1 mistake in trying to get a full set and that being a duplicate Hazmat Guy. No biggie ... all the others are still sealed and labelled :)

Here we go again....... the minifig madness. ;-) I went to my local Tesco extra in Cradley this afternoon, they had 3 boxes of series 4 in a cardboard display (1 open.) Bought 13, had 2 doubles. Only need to find gnome, viking, sailor, werewolf & mad scientist now. Then I can sit down and start breathing again. And the reason I think this series has come out early......... another company is releasing a series of 'blind' poly bagged minifigures (sounds familiar!) based on a popular tv doctor this Easter.

Nothing in Tesco Extra at wembley over the weekend. In fact, never seen any minifigs ion this store. Though they do have lots of the Atlantis polybag with undersea rover thing. They also have Buy one get one free on kids books, including the Atlantis Brickmaster. John Lewis and Argos have had huge stocks of the previous Series, so will pick up a case when they turn up there, no rush.

3 Tesco visited today and nothing! Two of them seemed to have more series 3 than I've seen in there for ages, maybe they're trying to get rid before getting series 4. I got 2 Elves but could have probably got 10 if I had the time to look!

They had a big stand for the series 4 boxes which had 4 boxes in. Myself and a woman felt our way through 2 of the boxes, she was after a mad scientist guy and finally found one for me and herself. When i got home i relaised that i picked up another 2 Scientist guys. Just by feeling i managerd to get 8 different ones didn't have any more time to feel for more but will try another day.

Tesco Skegness have minifigs, they are at the end of an isle in a stand alone display stand. Shame I gave up lego for lent!! I am now cursing that decision (o: plus one of the boys in my class brought in a hazmat guy to show me because he knows I like lego... funny thing was he said he was collecting honey! my class now think he is a bee keeper... im so customising that when I finally get one! If they have them in the stock room somewhere but haven't put them out then this should let them know where they might be and how many there are.

Available in Tesco at home in Edinburgh and big Tesco in Dalkeith! used the crib sheet to find the Mad Scientist and the Hazmat Guy and the sailor. The dots are a bit misleading for the Hazmat, but he's pretty easy to pick out because his pack is so bulky! Definitely one of the best series yet!

I went to a large Tesco Extra this morning and there were no figs :( This afternoon I went to another and there was nothing in or around their Toy Department. However, my Dad wanted a new clock so we went to the kitchen department and there was a bright orange stand containing 6 sealed boxes and 2 open ones. One of the boxes had been slightly saught through but the other hadn't. I spent 15 minutes sorting through, buying 4 figures which were the EXACT 4 that I wanted - the musketeer, the hazmat guy, the guitarist and the hockey player. My dad also managed to get the viking which he wanted :)

Tesco extra in Redditch had 4 boxes on the bright orange stand, all open. 20 minutes later I had the 5 remaining mini figs I needed to complete series 4 :-D I can now sleep at night again. Good luck to all in their search for series 4.

So it begins ... . I havent even finished series 3 yet. went into the Teso Extra in Purley surrey yesterday but all they had was heaps of series 3 so i got most of my series 3 {minus the elf :( }. prob wont start collecting this series till easter time tho( no money) hopefully they will have an offer like they did in half term for toys.

^ I thought so too - apparently not as i'm holding one right now! Tesco Extra in Ilkeston had 4-5 boxes stacked up. As several others have noted, they were nowhere near the Lego display, instead they were stood with stacked sale items by the escalator up to the first floor. On short funds so only got 5, but did get a mad scientist and a HAZMAT guy, along with a footballer, punk and geisha. Found those by feel - the geisha is the easiest because of the slope 'legs' but the scientist is not difficult as he has the soft plastic hair. Wonder how long before I find a reason to go back....

That's why these mystery bag things are a total crock. TLC's making them too hard to get. It's ridiculous! I'd rather pay $4.00 [give or take a few] (including shipping) for the ones I want off of Ebay instead of constantly feeling the bag. Not every store has a nice enough cashier - that is experienced at knowing which fig is which - to tell you! (That happened when I got the Sumo Wrestler)

Very successful trip to Plymouth Lee Mill tesco today, 4 fresh boxes out which I went through with my new friend avacadoturban. Managed to get the ones I needed plus a few extras!

No Series 4 in Warwick + Leamington Tesco's, however Warwick's Sainsburys pulled through with about 50-60 on display. Got all but three of the ones I wanted by feeling the bags. Looking for Monster, Werewolf and Scientist. Have Punk (x2), Artist and Figure Skater to swap. :]

Tesco at New Oscott in north Birmingham had 6 boxes on Tuesday, 5 and a bit Wednesday. Managed to get all I wanted in one visit largely using the 'feel' option. Can confirm distribution in boxes. Only the hockey player/ice skater/gnome to go (not really that moved by them, so no hurry...). Got doubles of the ones I wanted doubles of (scientist, sailor, geisha, hazmat). Not in toy aisle, but adjacent aisle. Happy.

New Malden Tesco Extra had some last night but not many. Just been to the Osterley Tesco Extra in west London, they have 5 full boxes in a stand next to the toy aisle. Only 1 box was open and from that was able to complete my collection finding the missing ones that I wasn't able to get last night as well as doubles that I wanted and an extra box.

I think this series is very easy to feel who is who. If you can find the smallest part in the bag it usually gives it away (be it ice skates, paintbrush, trophy, bone..) The same goes for big parts though - skateboard, geisha's dress triangle, hazmat headgear, etc. Mad scientist is one of the easiest to find if you have the time to. The squishy hair piece is a dead giveaway! I went back today to grab a couple more hazmats, scientist and werewolves. Good luck to all!

Stopped by the Huntington Beach store yesterday and they said they had two boxes and they all sold the same day they were put out. So S4 is on the western US.

Yeah i went to new malden yesterday and ALL GONE. Only series 3 and no elf. BUT i went to Tesco Sutton-Cheam and found them Yeah. out of 13 i got 11 right gona go back ASAP and get the 5 i need before the Brick effect Strikes.
@ S_alvyn10 i guess now that u found ur viking ive got nothing u need for a swap. no worries tho i will carry on the hunt 4 the elf.

Well, Roborough Tescoes in Plymouth now has them (by the self-checkouts, next to the fruit and veg)! What's more, there was an intact, full display box of 60 (all the others I've seen have had the tops ripped off), so I caved-in and bought it : ) 3 full boxes left at 14.00.

Also managed to get them to give me the top of the whole display unit - the bit that pictures S4 saying "If out of stock ... yadda, yadda, yadda" - they weren't using it.

Pleased, but a lot poorer : )

Have a Series 4 minifig in my hand, I can confirm these are now in stock in Tesco Ireland as well as of 25th March. Worth checking any local store that has a reasonable bit of Lego.

Price, €2.49

As per my post a few days ago, *any* stocking of Lego Minifigures in Tesco was a new to me when I came across Series 3 in one store a couple of weeks ago.

Really great news as Tesco are usually more convenient than getting to Smyths Toys, and Art & Hobby, Argos and GAME are all more expensive.

Just been through the box of 60 I bought, and there were 3 Crazy Scientists and 4 Punk Rockers. Admittedly, the box was open but untouched, with all other minifigs present and correct in the reported numbers, sans the Crazy Scientist and Punk Rocker where the ratio slipped.

Both Tesco Extra stores in Perth have them. 5 boxes each. Oddly enough I got one Haz mat guy from each store and they had different bump patterns on the packet so as some have previously mentioned it is probably easier to feel this series for the ones you are looking for. That said I didn't want to spend to long feeling packets and thought I had got a footballer by feeling the wee trophy until I got home and checked again and it was the scientist. It was actually the beaker I was feeling. My gain. Happy hunting

The Tesco Extra near Port Solent, Portsmouth, had three near full but open boxes in the toy aisle last night. Picked 25 at random from the three boxes; got at least one each of everything except the Mad Scientist, Gnome & Viking :-)

For anyone in the east cost of the USA, Series 4 have hit stores! I found a pile of them at my local TRU. 2 cases of sereies 3 are still on shelves.

Yeah I just happened to walk into my local Tesco, not expecting to see them at all, and I saw a big orange display with 4 cases!! Couldn't believe it! First time I ever saw minifigs in Tesco, like you @brickzone! Bought a pile of them! :)

Plus they were away from the tills, near the toy and CD/games section, so I could feel the packets to my heart's content!

Having spent most of the last week checking the 4 Tesco's in my area today I finally found series 4 - Everywhere (Feltham town, Dukes green, Sunbury Cross) all still have full boxes of Series 3 in the Lego section, but Sunbury had today put out a display stand for Season 4 with 2 open cases and one un-opened. I wasnt looking to get a set but my son wanted a scientist, so I went to the un-opened case and found one.

I have to say with all the series 3 figures still on shelves and the sheer numbers of series 4 out there It's obvious Lego are producing these in huge numbers - I've had no problems finding Elf's, fishermen and Samurai's after cases have been on shelf for weeks untouched in the above stores.
