wish i lived in UK or USA/Canada today and tomorrow

Posted by Jarod98 in United Kingdom, 03 May 2011 07:53

If anyone can answer this question it would be much appreciated: If I buy, say, Luke's Landspeeder ($24.99) and Cad Bane's Speeder ($49.99) would that count as a $75 purchase, like, do they charge tax? Thanks.

Posted by blazetrooper501 in United States, 03 May 2011 07:59

I really dont know but im getting the UCS obi-wans starfighter.

Posted by LukeSkywalker in Ireland, 03 May 2011 08:13

In Ireland, it's free shipping for orders over €55. I think the Shadow ARF comes with any Lego order over that amount, because I ordered the Maersk train on its own and at the checkout it said that I'll receive a free Star Wars figure.

Posted by vpustote in United States, 03 May 2011 08:17

So how many people are having errors with this?

I ordered two different things and even clicked YES to the unnecessary question about wanting the free gift. Both orders do not show the free gift.

On my third order, it worked though with no problem.

Posted by legomoe74 in United States, 03 May 2011 08:20

@ Jarod98, No you will be at $74.98. You need 2 more cent. Try putting it in your cart and checkout. It will let you know if you qualify for the Shadow ARF.

Posted by Cam'n'Stu in United Kingdom, 03 May 2011 08:30

So I just ordered >50 GBP on NONE Star Wars LEGO and got free shipping and a FREE Shadow ARF Figure... I just refreshed my cart and it said you have qualified for free shipping and mini-figure!

Posted by Skut in Australia, 03 May 2011 09:20

@scoopi68 - looks like most of these deals, including free shipping, are available in Australia too for May 3 & 4. Check out the official site... (BTW I didn't receive any reminder e-mail notification about this despite being a VIP member and on multiple mailing lists - cheers to TLG for extending the promotion to Australia; jeers for not telling anyone about it!)

Posted by macmon in Philippines, 03 May 2011 09:48

Nice for the offers, however was disappointed that not all had discounts. :( Was hoping for the Palpatine shuttle and Imperial shuttle.

Posted by flyguy in Australia, 03 May 2011 09:50

@scoopi68 Dude! It's available in Australia too! Same offers apart from the competition which is only USA!!

Posted by voypro in United States, 03 May 2011 09:53

I am yawning at this "sale". I am going to wait and hope the exclusive star wars fig is released in some other promotion.

Posted by vpustote in United States, 03 May 2011 09:57

@voypro The promotion of eBay, haha

Posted by voypro in United States, 03 May 2011 10:00

Iif you are a few penny's (or dollars) away from they $75 threshold remember there are a few
Star wars items in the sales and deals section you could add (98 cents keychain ,etc)

Posted by flash0222 in United States, 03 May 2011 10:05

Too bad Tantive IV is backordered. :( Oh well, have to order it anyway to add to my collection, and to try for the Millenium Falcon (Which I missed out on)

Posted by vpustote in United States, 03 May 2011 10:15

If you are trying to make a few extra cents to get the $75 total for free shipping... just do what I always do. Go to pick-a-brick and buy a 10 cent brick.

10 cent brick will save you 20 bucks in shipping... haha

Posted by wjspm in United States, 03 May 2011 10:37

I added the $80 Jedi fighter and saw the ARF minifig in my order confirm during checkout but not the poster.. Is the poster supposed to show up in the Order Details during checkout?

Posted by teal93mr2 in United States, 03 May 2011 10:57

It looks like you can get the free ARF trooper with ANY purchase over $75!

Posted by The Reviewer in United States, 03 May 2011 11:08

The only thing that intrests me is the poster(I hate the clone wars;so the S arf trooper means nothing to me).But when will the new Star-wars sets (like the:podracer and ewok) come out?

Posted by LukeSkywalker in Ireland, 03 May 2011 12:19

@wjspm The poster will be added to your delivery automatically. It doesn't show up in the email confirmation, but @atkinsar on the forum asked customer services and they told him that they put the poster into the delivery box automatically.

Posted by surfboy100 in United States, 03 May 2011 12:51

Yes, now I can get the dropship!!

Posted by atkinsar in United Kingdom, 03 May 2011 13:40

Just received an email from TLG telling me about the offer, if I've understood it correctly, you will get the poster with any purchase i.e. it doesn't have to be SW and you don't have to spend over $75/£50. You only need to spend over that amount to get free delivery and the ARF Trooper. Furthermore, I added £50 of goodies to my cart that was a mix of SW and PoTC and it still added an ARF Trooper to the cart!

Posted by avoiceoreason in United States, 03 May 2011 15:06

For those of you who remember from last year . . . do the discounts change tomorrow - i.e. will the discounts switch to different Star Wars sets or are the discounts we're seeing today going to be the only ones tomorrow as well? Thanks.

Posted by legoguysw in United Kingdom, 03 May 2011 15:43

Some help please, I just ordered the Lego City Sea Plane and Small Car to get the poster (NOT the Arf trooper or free shipping) and I've now submitted the order, but I did it rather hastily and am now wondering whether you had to click through from the Star Wars page about the promo to get the items?

EDIT- I think Luke Skywalker 4 posts above me answered this. I'll leave this here if anyone has any further comment on it...

Posted by teal93mr2 in United States, 03 May 2011 16:46

I placed an order online through the lego shop, ordering the 20200 MBA Space Set and the 7326 Rise of the Sphinx (2x reward points). The ARF trooper was automatically added to my order. I also went to my local Lego store and they had SW magnets Buy 2 Get 1 Free, so I got 6 of those and a Landspeeder. They gave me the free ARF trooper as well as the poster and ice cube tray, so I was pretty happy with the whole purchase.

On a side note, they had the ENTIRE collection of Alien Conquest available, as well as some new City and Atlantis sets. I wonder if they would honor a $75 purchase in-store and give you the ARF figure? I would guess not, but it would be cool if they did.

Posted by atkinsar in United Kingdom, 03 May 2011 16:51

^^ no, there is no need to click through from the promo page to get the poster, rest easy.

Posted by Acadia in United States, 03 May 2011 17:22

I'll pass on this promotion, I already have a first addition UCS Millennium Falcon.

Posted by macmon in Philippines, 04 May 2011 07:17

Is it assured that the poster will be included? Ordered and got the free delivery and ARF but the poster was not mentioned.

Posted by LukeSkywalker in Ireland, 04 May 2011 08:48

I think they've run out of Shadow ARFs. When I went to the checkout about 10 minutes ago, it said that they've run out of them "due to very high demand". I just emptied my cart and added a few star wars sets, and now it says nothing. ?

Posted by vpustote in United States, 04 May 2011 09:09

@LukeSkywalker Hey I just tried it and it worked fine. Did you click the radio button that says, "Yes, please at my free item?"

Posted by MrFresh in United Kingdom, 04 May 2011 09:17

Hi All,

I ordered late last night and noticed that my order didn't contain a reference to either the figure or the poster.

I've just spoken to the very friendly pepole at LegoShop@Home and the poster I will get, that's automatic, but to get the figure I had to "tick a box" during checkout. I didn't see any tickbox so I'm not going to get my minifig!

Even if there was a way to alter the order now, which there isn't, I still wouldn't get the figure as they ran out ages ago.

Posted by LukeSkywalker in Ireland, 04 May 2011 09:20

@vpustote I saw the tick-box there before but the thing is, when I look at my cart now and go to checkout, there's no sign of the promotion anywhere now, just free shipping. Maybe their allocation for Ireland (or possibly Europe?) has run out? Or maybe it's just a temporary glitch. Hopefully it's the latter.

Posted by vpustote in United States, 04 May 2011 09:24

@MrFresh.... I wrote an email to the complaint department saying that I wanted the free minifig and that it didn't appear in either of my orders. The next day, both my orders were updated and the minifig appeared in both.

@LukeSkywalker I am not sure about Europe, I'm in Michigan, USA and it's working fine for me over here. Maybe they did run out where you are.

Posted by MrFresh in United Kingdom, 04 May 2011 09:28

@vpustote, thanks for that. I'll write them an email now!

Posted by Martini in United Kingdom, 04 May 2011 10:30

The Minifigure was automatically adding to the shopping cart this morning when you hit the magic £50. It is not showing now, so why don't they say so, or take the advert for the offer down from the homepage?. Very bad of Lego to keep advertising it and then not supply it even if it states "while stocks last"!

Posted by vpustote in United States, 04 May 2011 10:53

They want you to feel pain and sorrow for not blowing your money at their store.

Posted by voypro in United States, 04 May 2011 12:49

I just got the ARF Trooper in a order I placed at 12:30pm today. Yesterday I had prepared an order but did not submit it and already had the Arf trooper in my cart. When I came back and read how they had run out I got a bit desperate and went back to check my cart to see if lego had pulled it, they had not. So submitted the order. So I got a WHOOPING 10% off 2 cod bane speeder. Gosh whatever will I do with the $9 I saved?

Posted by BrianOg in France, 04 May 2011 12:54

Well I'm due to get three of those ARF chappies, not that I care all that much - the point being, I ordered three Maersk trains, and as shipping is free, I ordered them separately, and should get the minifig with each one. I can't say I'm delighted, I just forked out the bones of €350!

Posted by voypro in United States, 04 May 2011 13:00

RE: ARF figure: I just went back to Lego.com to see if they were indeed out of the figures, I added the obi wan UCS ship hit checkout button and when it went to the next order page, there was the ARF figure again along with the obi wan UCS, and I did not even click the promotional box to add the figure, it was just automatically there. Curious, so i yank out my ipad and went to lego.com selected Obi Wan UCS and clicked the promotional item button and it did add it to my cart. So it would seem the ARF are back in stock?

Posted by LukeSkywalker in Ireland, 04 May 2011 13:12

Here's what it said for me a few minutes ago:

Due to extremely high demand, we have unfortunately run out of stock of the Star Wars™ ARF Shadow Trooper Minifigure, you will receive a replacement product as substitute. You can still get the Limited Edition, Numbered LEGO® Star Wars™ poster free with all purchases and free shipping! May the Force be with you!™

The "replacement product" sounds interesting, I just hope it's not a white 2x4 brick keychain that replaced my spaceman keychain in a previous offer...

Posted by rudekid in United Kingdom, 04 May 2011 13:25

It will be a keyring that is what i was offered also canceled my £600.00 plus lego order.

Posted by Martini in United Kingdom, 04 May 2011 15:33

But still at 8.30pm here in the UK it is advertised on their website! That's disgraceful Lego.com! Your system knows you've run out. Display the fact!

Posted by jonbuddy in United States, 04 May 2011 15:36

Awesome promotions! Hope many people take advantage of these!

Posted by voypro in United States, 04 May 2011 15:55

RE ARF Trooper: It could be that the UK supply is out but the US supply still has some?

Posted by Martini in United Kingdom, 04 May 2011 16:29

Sorry mentioning ".com" may have caused confusion! No reports of US supplies running out yet!
Probably Lego.com USA set aside plenty for the expected demand. Lego UK sold there dozen and then ran out! LOL.

Posted by flump in United Kingdom, 04 May 2011 17:01

^ Joke of it is, I've just received yet another "Don't miss out" email advertising the Trooper and poster. The order I placed just gone midnight on the 3rd has yet to be shipped. I'm getting worried about this.

Posted by flump in United Kingdom, 04 May 2011 17:13

^Correction, email only refers to the poster. The link however takes you off to the original promotion online (with Trooper).

Posted by flump in United Kingdom, 04 May 2011 18:10

....and yet another email!

"Dear Lego Fan.

Dear LEGO® Fan!

Due to unforeseen high demand of our LEGO® Star Wars™ 3rd & 4th May promotion, we experienced a technical system error on Tuesday, 3rd of May. This resulted in some people not receiving an order confirmation email after placing their order online.

We are currently making corrections to all orders affected. If you have not received your order confirmation as yet, it should be with you in the next 24 hours. Please rest assured your order will be processed as normal and winging its way to you shortly.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

Regards,

Your LEGO® Customer Service Team"

This isn't funny!

Just placed an order last night for a T-6 and Naboo Battle, they'll be coming later this month...

Posted by cyborg33 in United States, 05 May 2011 10:46

I dont know why people wait till the LAST minute to order something like this its only on for two days and it states only while supplies last so if you wanted this you jump right away i did as soon as it started :P ofcourse im a serious collector and dont mess around with this promo well anyhow i bought my imperial shuttle UCS this week so ill be getting that with my arf trooper and poster!!!!!!!!!!! :) Happy trails...

Posted by cyborg33 in United States, 05 May 2011 10:49

Oh one other thing if you miss out on this offer dont worry go on ebay and you can buy both arf trooper and poster together for $50 and save your self $25 !!!!!!!!! :P

Posted by Jarod98 in United Kingdom, 05 May 2011 15:03

Can anyone tell me when the winners of the UCS Millennium Falcon will be announced? Thanks in advance :P

@cyborg33 - I'm under 18 and created an account on Lego to get the promo, but then it said you had to be 18 to buy so my dad got on the phone with an employee to sort it out, so that delayed the process. I was also sick which didn't help me remember till late Wednesday night.

Posted by BrianOg in France, 05 May 2011 15:21

Update: of my 3 seperate orders I was informed that two have shipped without the trooper, but that they'll be sending me them on in 30 days time. The other order has yet to ship, and I presume the trooper will be included.

Posted by flump in United Kingdom, 05 May 2011 15:58

@cyborg. There are some people (myself included) that waited up all night until the clock struck twelve and placed an order 5 minutes later, yet Lego's ordering system was clearly not up to coping with the traffic they must have anticipated. As it happens, many that did place orders early on have either had their orders lost or delayed, whilst those that held off and placed orders even as late as the following day had their orders confirmed and shipped before early orders had even been registered. Lego's email apolologised and conceded they cocked up. You're right by way that if somebody orders late on, it should be no surprise to find that the promotional offers are out of stock, but then ordering late has paid off for most in this instance.

Posted by DaveBey in United States, 06 May 2011 00:14

I received my order today and my invoice had a $0.34 charge for the Shadow ARF Trooper. Did anyone else experience this?

Cheers from Claremore, OK!
Dave

Posted by BrianOg in France, 07 May 2011 01:37

Just got another email saying ARFs were out of stock when I made my order (4:30am or so on the 4th of May), and I'll be getting a Boba Fett Keyring in its place. Hmmm, not exactly delighted about that, I actually put a key ring (classic white spaceman) in one of my orders, cos I like them - and they wear out after a coupla years of scratching off your keys in your pocket. Well, at least I got free shipping, but I don't think I woulda spent so much on LEGO at this moment in time if there hadn't been the promise of uber cool free exclusive black stormies. Nuts!

Posted by Red Five Standing By in United Kingdom, 07 May 2011 04:52

Just checking my emails and I've received the dreaded email below:

"Dear LEGO® Fan!

Due to unforeseen high demand during our LEGO® Star Wars™ May the Force Be With You!™ promotion, we ran out of the Star Wars™ ARF Trooper Minifigure by the time your order was processed. I am happy to tell you that, as you are a valued LEGO customer, we will send you a substitute product in place of this item which is a cool LEGO® Star Wars™ Boba Fett Keychain!"

I'm a bit disappointed as the figure was the only real reason that I chose to shop with Lego on that day and it was confirmed in my shopping cart before I pressed the order button. What also seems to have happened is that Lego have been giving the figure to some people who haven't ordered £50+ worth of Star Wars Lego, but just £50+ of any Lego. A choice of substitute product or an extra discount might have been good too.

Not sure if I'll bother with future promos if this is standard operating procedure!

I just got my imperial shuttle UCS plus my poster and arf trooper today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) now my collection gets even better :)
