Brickset readers are invited to Ontario, Canada this summer for our inaugural LEGO Fan Convention for the adult hobbyist on July 28th to July 31st at The Assembly Hall, Toronto, Canada.

Our list of events includes plans for:

    • Build Challenges
    • Live auctions
    • Prize raffles
    • RC racing and,
    • TWO Mindstorm’s Robot challenges.

Come display with us and enjoy the company of other AFOLS. Perhaps be a vendor and sell some of your awesome LEGO items. Watch, or better yet, participate in games and challenges! What better way to challenge your robot building skills than to build a robot to try to race to an OPEN FLAME before the other robot gets there?

The general public is invited to view the awesome LEGO creations on display on July 30th, 2011 – 10am until 5pm at the Assembly Hall – tickets will be sold at the door.

Looks cool, but I won't be able to go (I live way too far away).

Why is it that the Lego store in Calgary, AB has been open for almost a year without any sort of convention, and Toronto gets one after a couple months? Don't get me wrong, I was ecstatic that Canada's first Lego store was going to be in Calgary, but I would love to go to something like this if it weren't so far away.

Just to be clear, this isn't organised by LEGO but by fans who live near Toronto which would explain why it's in Toronto :-)
