    30023: Lighthouse
    Creator, 2011
    More details...
    ©2011 LEGO Group

This week at Toys R Us, you will receive a free Creator Lighthouse polybag (30023) with any LEGO set or game purchase of $30 or more.  Target, on the other hand, is having a sale on Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean, and select NinjaGo sets.  The sale is in-store only and the exact particulars seem to vary by region.  In my area, the sale is "Buy One, Get One 30% Off" while in other areas, the sale may be "Buy One, Get One 50% Off" or "Buy Two, Get One Free."   I personally can't recall ever seeing a BOGO 30% sale let alone these kinds of variances by region.  Leave it to Target, who previously introduced us to the 5% sale, to keep pushing the envelope.  As always, try to buy similarly priced sets in order to maximize the discount.

Also the 30080 ninjago glider is at the front lanes for $3.99. Saw new Harry Potter sets at my local Target.

5% sale?

Posted by natro220 in United States, 13 Jun 2011 09:07

At least Target doesn't mark up their sets, so it's a true discount your getting (and not a TRU discount, lol). I got the Forbidden Forest paired with the Captains Cabin, and the Aqua de Vida paired with Isla de Muerta. And my Target has the BOGO 50% off (W St. Paul, MN).

Posted by war44lock in New Zealand, 13 Jun 2011 09:32

Aqua de Vida = Fountain of youth.

Posted by natro220 in United States, 13 Jun 2011 09:59

Sorry, yes The Fountain of Youth. I think it was called Aqua de Vida before, and they changed it.

Posted by platinum405 in United States, 13 Jun 2011 11:55

Aqua de Vida?! WHAT THE?!

Posted by natro220 in United States, 13 Jun 2011 12:01

@platinum405 - http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/4192_Aqua_de_Vida

"While it is called "Fountain of Youth" in the US, it is called "Aqua de Vida" in Europe."

It is Spanish for Water of Life, and is what the Fountain of Youth is called in the movie. They changed the name of the set for the U.S.

Posted by itsaturkey in United States, 13 Jun 2011 12:26

Would the PotC game be discounted too?

Posted by vpustote in United States, 13 Jun 2011 12:29

My toysrus didn't have the lighthouses, so they gave me this lame hero factory thing.

Posted by bluemoose in United Kingdom, 13 Jun 2011 12:33

@natro220 - The set is called 'Fountain of Youth' in all the English-speaking nations, not just the US.

Posted by LukeSkywalker in Ireland, 13 Jun 2011 13:01

It's Aqua de Vida in Ireland (in the shops, that is). ;)

Posted by Jocko18869 in United States, 13 Jun 2011 15:49

Target in Portland, OR has buy one get one 50% off...White Cap Bay and Hogwarts Express here I come...

Posted by shoobathelemur in United States, 13 Jun 2011 17:13

I contacted 9 Targets in the Tampa, FL area and none had any Queen Anne's Revenge ships in stock. Would've been an awesome pairing with Hogwarts Castle.

The TRU and Target near me didnt have any sale at all, which is very dissapointing since I just bought 3 Alien Conquest Sets, 3 Pirates of the Carribean and 4 City Sets! Everything happens after I buy stuff but I`m Glad they had all the new sets, including City, Kingdoms, PotC, and Alien Conquest.

Posted by Divinity3d in United States, 13 Jun 2011 23:44

Same with me JDLego, Im in California and my target has no sale at all. I work there and check daily =(

Posted by calirican04 in United States, 14 Jun 2011 00:00

San Diego Target had Buy One Get One 50% off. I ended up with the last Knight Bus, The Mill, Isla de la Muerta and The Fountain of Youth.

Posted by jonfurgeson in United States, 14 Jun 2011 09:42

St. Louis has the BOGO 50%. Perhaps a Queen Anne and Hogwarts Castle?
If you like the Fountain of Youth, go to Target's Coupon section and download a $3 coupon for the Fountain of Youth - or 2 coupons and get one for 50% off + the $3 coupon! They also have $3 coupons right now for the Bank and Money Transfer and the Mack truck set from Cars 2, but the Fountain of Youth is the real deal at the moment.

If you go to Target's website, you can see if they have certain items in stock. There's a dark red button under the item name that says "Find it at a Target store". It doesn't give a specific number, but gives you an idea.

I just recieved an E-mail from Toys R Us stating they are going BOGO 50% for four days starting on June 15th. They are claiming on ALL lego, no restrictions. Nothing has changd in their online store. I would think tomorrow morning everything will have changed over. If any Admin wants me to forward E-mail just let me know.

Posted by dougts in United States, 14 Jun 2011 19:06

got the same email as NickDS.

Posted by meyerc13 in United States, 14 Jun 2011 19:07

Just got that same email. I think I'll be using my Rewards certificates tomorrow.

Posted by EmmyLegoMom in United States, 14 Jun 2011 20:20

Got the same email, buy 1 get 1 50% off* All Lego construction sets and board games. We shall see if there is anything worth getting at their inflated prices. Knowing TRU, I'm sure there is an except in there somewhere.

Posted by cjg in United States, 14 Jun 2011 20:22

Wow, TRU has BOGO50% off on ALL LEGO sets. :O That's crazy for TRU!!

Posted by Gandalf1 in United States, 14 Jun 2011 20:32

I saw this news article today and took advantage of the offer. At my Target, it was BOGO 50%. By the way, it discounts the item that costs less, so try to get similarly priced products.

Posted by greenskull139 in United States, 14 Jun 2011 21:29

NOTE: TRU is having a bogo sale on all lego construction sets. June 15-18.

Posted by Waddling_Penguin in Hong Kong, 14 Jun 2011 21:55

How does this BOGO sale work? I put two construction sets in my shopping cart and go to checkout, but instead of the discount, I get a free lighthouse but no discount?
Is the discount live yet?
Really looking forward to placing this order...can't wait to get back into legoing (sp?)

Posted by voypro in United States, 14 Jun 2011 23:44

Ever since Target sold me a replacement sale item (slave one) ship at 30% off cause the were out of the 30% sale item, they have been my favorite retail store to buy Legos from. Also, their "Bulleye's" target dog lego set/gift card should show us they care about going the extra mile for Lego fans.

Posted by hleonffu in United States, 15 Jun 2011 00:27

TRU sale is live online. Many without TRU mark up. LEGO exclusives are in stock.

Posted by PerryMakes in United States, 15 Jun 2011 01:08

Market Village... gone. Tower Bridge... gone. Fire Brigade... gone.

Posted by calirican04 in United States, 15 Jun 2011 01:12

Picked up the Mill Village Raid and Flo's V8 Cafe at TRU. NO markups. Mark ups are definitely on the PoTC sets though. Better off getting those at Target.

Posted by Unknown User2596 in United States, 15 Jun 2011 01:24

Grand Emporium, Market village, Imperial flagship(and the shuttle), AT-OT, Tantive IV, Diagon Alley, Tower Bridge are still in stock online for those interested.

EDIT: Target.com just added 10231 and some Alien sets.

Posted by raycarnes in N/A, 17 Jun 2011 11:25

Toys "R" Us has buy one, get one for 50% on all sets until Saturday 18th!
