Well, PoP and Toy Story sets have been on sale at almost every other major retailer, at better prices, so nothing really special here. Battle of Alamut seems to be the only one that holds its own against other sales. World Racer prices have been marked down twice in my country and still crowd up shelves everywhere. I truly cannot think of a theme that has been so ignored in the last 2-3 years. Not hated, not blasted on, but simply ignored and never discussed.

Thanks for the info; I've had a look this morning but its pretty poor pickings. Nothing to shout about. :(
Oh well, I will find a lego train set at a good price or in a sale before i'm 50. LoL

^ agreed.
Would be nice if they actually discount popular themes. Although the farm sets are nice, they're still cheaper on amazon.

^^ Tesco Direct have the passenger and cargo trains on sale at the mo'.

In the US, the sets currently on the Sales and Deals page are discounted a maximum of 20%. That's disappointing when you consider that the normal Sales and Deals discount used to be 50% (and then it was 30%, and now apparently only 20%). But - in the business world, there's no need to discount things that are selling well.

Just read on fbtb that The Battle of Endor is also back in stock. http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?p=8038
I don't really keep track of stat wars sets but its been out a while so guess it must have been out of stock more recently.

Though looking on amazon, it is actually cheaper there. Use the brickset links for any buying obviously.

'Click through on the yellow LEGO box on the right'
I may be having a blonde/blind moment, but I don't see a yellow Lego box to click on.
It's refreshing to see more than keyrings and fridge magnets in the Sales and Deals, but with most discounts no more than 2-5 euro it's still not worth the shipping costs.

Posted by ncbarrett in United States, 24 Jun 2011 10:26

@DUQ on main page there is a yellow LEGO box top right corner

Posted by Matthew in United Kingdom, 24 Jun 2011 10:28

Maybe I'm just being stupid, but I can't see any PoP there...

Posted by vpustote in United States, 24 Jun 2011 11:23

Target has been simply handing PoP and Toy Story sets away for a while now. Last time I was in store, they were discounted more than half the price.

@ncbarrett: The yellow LEGO box only seems to be present on the home page. On all other pages, one can use the "Buy" tab at the top.

here in belgium i can count the total number of prince of persia sets i've seen in stores on one hand. and yet in america where the prices were allready 30% lower then here they are now on sale.. Why don't they just ship them over and sell them here at the standard american price.. , all the other discounts are just marked down to the price you can find in most stores allready :( the easter basket is at a good price though

Posted by bionicle212 in United States, 24 Jun 2011 19:44

there's nothing realy intresting to me... i've been waiting for ninjago to go on sale for a while now.

Posted by Si_Dorking_Surrey in Singapore, 24 Jun 2011 21:22

^^ The easter basket has been on sale at half price since pretty much the day after Easter :)

It's not much of a Sale really, as many have said, it's still not as good as Amazon; I wish they wouldn't send out emails about a sale that's not really a sale.

@LegoCoastGuard: That's because they are on sale in the US, not the UK.

Everyone buy lego universe. It is the best game EVER. I am legorex2 in game.

A couple of odd sales I came across:
- Argos have the Series 4 minifigs down to £1.49 but Series 3 is stil ful price.
- John Lewis have the series 1 Ninjago spinners down to £5 along with Nuckal and Nya. The Hero Factory 2 sets are also reduced.
