Toys R Us is once again holding a Buy One, Get One 50% Off sale on select LEGO sets.  It appears that the only exclusions are Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Alien Conquest.  As the sale is unadvertised, it's unclear how long it will last or whether or not it will be honored in-store.  As always, try to buy similarly priced sets in order to maximize the discount.

UPDATE: The Toys R Us email confirms the three themes above are indeed excluded and that this sale will run through Saturday 7/2/11 both online and in-store.  Additionally, the Cars 2 sets are discounted 20% this week so that discount will stack with this BOGO50% offer.

If you are into Cars 2 Legos, there is an additional discount on them. It looks like you can combine them on-line at least.

The e-mail I received states the prices are good 6-26 thru 7-2 in store and on line plus 20% off Cars sets.

Posted by jagdjh in United States, 26 Jun 2011 12:14

There was a Cars 2 booklet available at the entrance to the store when I was at TRU last week. There was a coupon inside for $5 off $30 or more, $10 off $50 or more, etc. that I used in addition to the BOGO deal.

There's always a sale when I don't have money.

Good time to pick up the new Creator sets. I wish they would make a cool Castle/Kingdom type creator set...

I was just in a tru and there was zero ads for this sale

Posted by lego8x8 in United States, 26 Jun 2011 18:43

Just in case you wonder....Minifigures are $3.49 at TRUs. The price has gone up once again. Not even the employees knew that the price had gone up. Too bad it happened again!

Posted by malachirobertson in United States, 26 Jun 2011 20:17

Series 4 minifigures are $3.49, but series 3 I think are still $2.99.

Posted by madforLEGO in United States, 26 Jun 2011 20:32

The series 4 3.49 prices have been this way for about 3 weeks now (The BOGO two weeks ago, then the B2get90 off, so there should be no surprise about this, also you still get a small discount of the packs
Series three are still 2.99 because they probably want to get rid of them.

What IS surprising is that there is ANOTHER BOGO sale going on, essentially 3 in three weeks... WOW

It's bumped up to 75% off secondary item for clearance items (like Space Police)

Posted by Talas Antares in United States, 27 Jun 2011 00:25

Anyone have any word yet on whether they are honoring this in stores? With the last BOGO I had to ask the manager if they were honoring it...no advertising whatsoever.

Haha just my luck again. I cant discount alien conquest, but city is my favorite so i could try to get hogwarts castle to use as a college and the harbor 50% off.

Posted by yellowcastle in United States, 27 Jun 2011 12:28

Hogwarts does not match well with the harbor, even moreso with the extra markup of $20 on Hogwarts. Your savings off MSRP drop from $45 to $25 instantly with that pairing.

I tried putting 2 Cars Lego sets in the cart. Both are 20% off but they did not do the B1G1 50% off. It tried to charge full price (minus 20%) off. Maybe it works better in the store?

Posted by teal93mr2 in United States, 27 Jun 2011 13:40

@starfire2: I tried the same thing and it worked for me after I deleted the free diecast vehicle that they were throwing for purchasing $25 of Cars toys.

I purchase 2 lego Cars sets (flo cafe) with the 20% and receive the BOGO and the free car :)

Medieval Market Village just came back in stock at TRU.com

Posted by teal93mr2 in United States, 27 Jun 2011 16:09

The site says that they have some in stock, but even if you add one to the cart it does not work. Too bad, I was waiting for this one.

Thank you for the clarification on the in-store purchases. Lucky for me, payday is Friday! Yay!

Posted by GeluNumber1 in United States, 28 Jun 2011 17:45

MIGHT get a car set and a PotC. That seems good.

Posted by teal93mr2 in United States, 29 Jun 2011 14:42

This sale does not seem to be generating nearly as much buzz as the last 2 sales, guess everyone is tapped out!

Posted by jonbuddy in United States, 29 Jun 2011 17:56

TRU not doing so hot? Seems so...

But that doesn't change the fact that these sales are amazing!

EDIT: If you would by, say, Flo's V8 Café, if that set is priced higher that the second, would the 20% discount be added before or after the BOGO50% one?

The real question is: Which one is 50% off?

Posted by sonsofsceva in United States, 30 Jun 2011 08:30

medieval market and emerald night are back in stock

Posted by brickeater100 in United States, 30 Jun 2011 08:32

are alien conquest included?

Posted by voypro in United States, 30 Jun 2011 08:35

@ brickeater100 3 exclusions are Alien Conquest, Star Wars and I believe Pirates of the Caribbean

Posted by voypro in United States, 30 Jun 2011 08:48

Also, my store was taking an addition 25% off clearance items. So Power Miner set "Lavatraz" that was clearance to $39.99 was $29.99. They stacked that savings with the BOGO sale. If you bought the a duplicate of the "Lavatraz", the second was $15. So you would get them both for $45ish.

I bought the 8 of the clearance Fun Favor Pack 66373 for a total of $61 (they have 8 polybag kits, (4) creator 4x4 and (4) creator airplanes)

Posted by M4444M44 in United States, 30 Jun 2011 21:50

Great deal! I got four Cars sets - Mater Spy Zone, Escape at Sea, Mack and Tokyo Circuit - for $120 with tax!

That is less than what just the Tokyo Circuit and Mack Truck set would cost alone before taxes.

Posted by jonfurgeson in United States, 01 Jul 2011 09:25

The brand new Red Cargo Train is available for the TRU BOGO sale. Just listed!

Posted by bmwlego in United States, 01 Jul 2011 22:19

Scored Tokyo Pit Stop, Escape at Sea, Mater Spy Zone and the new small red speed boat set for $21.50 after sales, $5 off $30 Cars LEGO purchase and $10 in TRU rewards which is like buying the Escape at Sea set and getting the other 3 sets for free!

The $5 coupons can be found at the customer service desk. They are in a little booklet that features Cars 2 products and the coupon can be used to get you $10 off $50 or $20 off $100 as well. I might go back before the sales end ti buy the more expensive sets.
