Exactly how does one 'Steer' a train, even with a remote control?

Posted by railroad18764 in United States, 01 Jul 2011 07:49

I think that there saying, "get it on to the right track".
Im guessing that it will be $150 US.

its going to be £132 here in the uk. i only know because i phones them and asked

Posted by MCNwakeboard in United Kingdom, 01 Jul 2011 08:14

The £132 seems accurate because it is a few quid more than the current cargo train with about the same amount of pieces. I'll probably be waiting for a sale to get this one but with the my limited space, it might be a while till it gets used.

Posted by rainstorm26 in Europe, 01 Jul 2011 11:46

How much is it?

Posted by ncbarrett in United States, 01 Jul 2011 11:50

$159.99

Posted by rainstorm26 in Europe, 01 Jul 2011 12:09

Why is this cheaper than the cargo train 7939?

Posted by Thomson & Thompson in Canada, 01 Jul 2011 12:26

If I can get it, this will be great to run my Maersk Train, because of all the track and the PF. So, when it comes to Canada, PLEASE be less than $200!!!!!!

Posted by madforLEGO in United States, 01 Jul 2011 14:02

@rainstorm26: No switches, and I am guessing less parts, or cheaper parts used by Lego. The 7939 has the green large stanchions for the green overhead gantry and switches, the new set does not have these things, plus no extra vehicles like a semi or anything like that

Over all I am thinking that the 7939 value in the secondary market will go up... I mean while this train is cheaper, it is kinda 'meh' nothing great about it, except a change to show off the new conveyor I guess.... and a lot more stuff in the 7939 set.

Il wait for BOGO sales at TRU before buying these....

It's 149.99 Euros on S@H here in Europe. Maybe cheaper than 7939 but a LOT less sexy too IMO.
Anyway, as other addicted, I know I can't help buying it ...

Posted by brankell5566 in Canada, 01 Jul 2011 16:11

The Yellow Cargo train looks much better to me IMO. This one may be cheaper, but there's nothing special about it.

Posted by railroad18764 in United States, 01 Jul 2011 16:38

you can really order it over the phone at TRU? Can you get it now?

Posted by Thomson & Thompson in Canada, 01 Jul 2011 20:14

IMO? What does that stand for?

Posted by starfire2 in United States, 01 Jul 2011 20:19

@railroad18764: it is currently out of stock for shipping. You can try your local TRU though.

Posted by typo in United States, 01 Jul 2011 20:25

WOW...IMO=In My Opinion...Either its out of stock or someone made a mistake at TRU and let it out early and they are now holding it back probably until the BOGO is over. I ordered mine by phone about 9:30am CST and I'd say by the afternoon it was out of stock for shipping on the TRU website.

Posted by railroad18764 in United States, 01 Jul 2011 23:21

Thankyou starfire2, so i could pick it up tomorrow at TRU?

Posted by starfire2 in United States, 01 Jul 2011 23:22

If they have it. Sometimes TRU puts new Lego's up on it's site a week or 2 before the stores.

Posted by JDLego in Canada, 02 Jul 2011 01:10

I would buy it cause I dont have a Cargo Train but not liking the Flexi Tracks at all, I dont see the point in them and theres no reason for them at all.

Posted by railroad18764 in United States, 02 Jul 2011 11:38

Thank you starfire2!

So weird! 1 year after 7939's release and they released another. I think they both are good and 3677 could be aimed at low budget consumers with only 149 Euros come on! It's no less than 7939. I looked at lego.com for region: Germany and it appered. Turn the paged to USA and: "Sorry This Item Is Not Avaible In The Following Country: USA"
German page for 3677: http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?p=3677&cn=746&d=9
US page: http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?p=3677&cn=746&d=9\
They both look similar. Or Just open the German one and change the region to USA in lego.com
