Per their flyer, "Save $25 on your purchase of $125 or more when you use ANY MasterCard card at checkout."  This seems like a really great deal to stack with the current BOGO1/2 promotion.  I see no issues but here's the small print...

*For a limited time, receive $25 off your purchase of $125 or more (excluding tax, shipping and Buyer Protection Plan) when you use any MasterCard Card at checkout. $125 or more must be spent on a MasterCard Card in order to receive the discount. Gift card spend does not apply toward the $125. Offer applies to transactions at Toysrus.com and Babiesrus.com-Online Only. Discount will be applied automatically during checkout when a MasterCard card is used as method of payment. Offer not applicable to canceled orders due to out-of-stock merchandise. Discount not applicable with returned merchandise; total discount will be deducted from the value of any returned item to which the discount applied. This promotional offer may be modified or terminated at any time without notice. We reserve the right to cancel any order due to unauthorized, altered, or ineligible use of a discount. Wish it was in store. A lot of the sets I would consider buying are not available online right now.

Picked up Technic 8053 Mobile Crane and 8109 Flatbed Truck for $62.49 each after stacking Mastercard deal and BoGo 50% off!

Woohoo!

Great thinking, TRU, but online only? and you have to spend $125? If you are going to do that, why not just take 1/5 off of the whole purchase!

Me too: Picked up two 8109 Flatbed Trucks for $62.49 each after stacking Mastercard deal and BoGo 50% off! Yeah TRU!!!

Of course, I find this AFTER I put in a small order last nite. Ah well, probably for the best.

I think all of my credit cards are Visa anyway...lol
Besides I did all of my credit card 'damage' on Saturday night/Sunday morning anyway...

Oh, really!? Who's getting paid to invent ways to give American shoppers more Lego? I want that person in CANADA please.

Posted by natro220 in United States, 18 Jul 2011 15:18

The Mastercard deal isn't just on Lego, it's good for anything at TRU.

Posted by Tervlon in United States, 18 Jul 2011 15:49

^ But who would buy anything other than LEGO? ;)

Posted by Dlakii in Australia, 18 Jul 2011 16:50

^ I dunno, I for one was eyeing off some Mega Bloks... After all, isn't that the true purpose behind this sale? To bring the unadulterated joy that is Mega Bloks to the world? [/sarcasm]

I must say, this is certainly one of the stranger promotional deals I've seen. Probably because around here retail is inadequately learned in those newfangled technologies like deals, but I digress. Even through observing American sales and deals through this site, I can't recall seeing something similar. Huh. Guess it doesn't matter, given it's some pretty okay dealing.

Posted by Zrath in United States, 18 Jul 2011 18:00

Yeaaaaa, greaaaaaat, none of the larger Lego Star Wars sets are in stock online.
Thanks for nothing We Be Toys'N'Stuff.

Took advantage of this to order two of the new Creator Shuttles and used the MC for a total just over $130 (after taxes) for $200 worth of sets plus the random snowman or Xmas tree!

Pretty good deal, got 2 Diagon Alleys for $213 after stacking the discounts, including tax. Basically $50 off per set.

@bionicle212 - I think Naboo may be a Target/Wal-Mart exclusive. Similar for Mace Windu Starfighter. Just guessing.

Ebates now has 2% cash back for Toys R Us as well. I think they've always had it for TRU Canada, but it's new for US I believe - just so Canada doesn't have ANY advantages. ;)

I have no idea how the US gets so many Toys R Us offers, it is almost daily!

Posted by bionicle212 in United States, 19 Jul 2011 09:00

@sidersdd - I checked walmart's and target's website, none of the new SW sets are there, so its possible that they did'nt get the new wave yet.

Posted by jonbuddy in United States, 19 Jul 2011 10:17

@Tervlon, well, at TRU at least. :P

Posted by Tervlon in United States, 19 Jul 2011 17:10

^ So true. At least I can pick up toilet paper or a birthday card at Target with my LEGO purchase. I rarely go to TRU anymore that place is an overpriced disaster.
