In the U.S., LEGO S@H has already lowered the price on the two Factory Space sets that were released just two months ago. It is unknown how fast they will sell out, so if you want yours, you had better grab them now!

i bet the people who got it for £70 will not like this lol.Now im glad i never had enough money to buy it

That's good. I never planned on buying this set but if they lowered it to $70.00 USD I might buy it, but they would have to lower it some more for me to buy it....I am to busy saving up for the Agents Mobile Comand Center and the Star Wars Gunship to even think about buying this...

I never really got why LEGO decided to produce the new Factory Space kits. I don't think they sold nearly as much of those as they did the modular buildings; and frankly, they just don't look as good as most classic lego space kits or the newer Exo Force or Agents models.

To be honest, the factory space sets were expensive to begin with. I guess up until recently LEGO came back to its senses. hehehehe I still think that the title Huw used for this article, "Already?", is sort of funny. :D

I still need to see the price come down a bit more to even consider purchasing either of these sets. Still want to buy Green Grocer. Supposedly the LEGO stores are having double loyalty stamps on July 1st and 2nd so I will go there to buy my Green Grocer set(s). I received an email today that is good until the end of June for 10 bucks gift card with a 50 buck purchase. I wish the coupon was good until July 1st so I could combine the Loyalty Stamps and the coupon.
The Star Justice set in my opinion looks much better than the skulls. Why did they both have to be white? The piece assortment from both sets seems to be mostly white. I feel bad for the sets' designers now that their sets have been reduced so quickly after being released.

I'm glad that LEGO lowered the price of this, I was really looking forward to the sets and the price shocked me bu I still think that LEGO should reduce the price some more

They reduced the price from €99.99 to €69.99 some time back for Irish customers, however, I would still say that's too much. The part count seems to be mostly due to small parts, the overall "size" of the sets is not that big in my opinion.

Both sets look really cool, but I'd have a lot more to show for my money spending that amount of cash on other things.

I work at a lego retail store and I have only seen these sets probably once every 2-3 weeks. We still have our original shipment of sets (about 12 of each) that we are trying to get through which we received in feb-march.

$70 is still too much though. Yes it will sell better, but not by much. Heck, even I wouldnt buy them with the discount I get.

sadly it looks as if the creator put very little thought into it because the base thing looks pretty bad

Man what are you guys talking about, the Star Justice set is amazing! One of the best Space sets in awhile, much more classic than Mars Mission. The construction is great, the Star Justice set is highly recommended!

Posted by lego12 in United States, 19 Jun 2008 21:37

It is NOT amazing! 100% OVER expensive!! >:(

Posted by dragon_teenager in United States, 19 Jun 2008 22:24

It was, but now it's $69.99, so there's no reason not to get it.

thats pretty bad if their already lowering prices on those sets, its been like only a month and a half since released!(im pretty sure, plz correct if im wrong)

You should check out some pictorial reviews on Euro- SJ is better than you think, even if it did flop (because of the price).

It looks pathetic. AND it is still way too expensive. Dragon teenager, the new mars mission sets could beat it anyday.
