  • The 2012 LEGO Exclusives are...

Posted by Huw, 25 Aug 2011 08:46. Filed under Brickset.

...still a secret for now. LEGO asked me to remove the information so I have done so.

Just for the record, the information I published was obtained from a public source, a Dutch toy shop website. I therefore felt justified in publishing it given it was in the public domain. Whether it should have been is another matter, of course.

Not surprising they asked you to remove the information. Oh well.

Oh darn!

Posted by Andhe in United Kingdom, 25 Aug 2011 09:02

Was anything even posted? Or is that just a big tease... Lego were sure quick off the mark if so.

Posted by scoopi68 in Australia, 25 Aug 2011 09:03

so pleased i got to read the secrets...very exciting.

Posted by Jarod98 in United Kingdom, 25 Aug 2011 09:04

It must have been in under 15 minutes. They must check up on you a lot, unless they have one of those things that tracks when you change the CSS.

Posted by Andhe in United Kingdom, 25 Aug 2011 09:05

@Huw, you might want to remove it from the facebook page as well then :P

Posted by ncbarrett in United States, 25 Aug 2011 09:09

cant wait for official release info.

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 25 Aug 2011 09:14

^^ Good point Andhe, I'd forgotten about all the syndication that goes on! It's now removed.

Posted by Andhe in United Kingdom, 25 Aug 2011 09:20

Wouldn't want you getting in trouble with TLG :) (and I'd already read the list :P)

Posted by kor in United States, 25 Aug 2011 10:08

I hope we get the official release soon. I caught the list and it all sounds great!

Posted by roamingstudio in Switzerland, 25 Aug 2011 10:15

Should the title not be called

Lego 2012 Elusive's?

Posted by EliteLeader99/brickboy2 in United States, 25 Aug 2011 10:53

HUW! :( c'mon man plz. Okay fine I understand. I can't WAIT for the new 2012 sets. Rats. I'm the only one who didn't see it? :(

Posted by railroad18764 in United States, 25 Aug 2011 11:03

lego shouldnt care about who gives the information first.

Posted by Meiko in United States, 25 Aug 2011 11:20

Way to go...

Posted by MCNwakeboard in United Kingdom, 25 Aug 2011 11:24

I guess this is confirmation that the sets are authentic.

Posted by LegoCity578 in United States, 25 Aug 2011 11:29

Well that sucks......... LEGO shouldn't release any information if they don't want people to know! :(

Posted by captainsamus in United States, 25 Aug 2011 11:34

I got sad when I saw that the info was removed before I could read it. Then I remembered I have Brickset's RSS feed on my phone. Some cool sets coming up!

Posted by VonVeederVeld in United States, 25 Aug 2011 11:50

I could sure use one of them there private emails.....

Posted by lippidp in United States, 25 Aug 2011 11:57

I'd like to set up an RSS feed. What is the URL? Can't find it anywhere on the site.

Posted by superbrick in United States, 25 Aug 2011 12:21

Ah already saw it on [REDACTED]. yesterday. i don't know if they're real or not. they sound real though. i like the sound of the [REDACTED] one.

Posted by LostInTranslation in United Kingdom, 25 Aug 2011 12:23

I did read the list earlier but have such a goldfish memory I can only remember 2 of them now :-) I do remember they sounded pretty cool though!

Posted by Ypres in Canada, 25 Aug 2011 12:42

Well this is odd because I swear I just read a list about the rumoured Exclusives yesterday

[Edited - Matthew (LegoCoastGuard)]

Posted by Nesquik in United Kingdom, 25 Aug 2011 12:48

^ I wouldn't go talking about them too much unless posts are asked to be removed again. The [REDACTED] should be fantastic though! I'm going to guess a really grand [REDACTED] (possibly with [REDACTED]) and lots of nice traditional [REDACTED].

Posted by DarthLuke824 in United Kingdom, 25 Aug 2011 13:09

AWWWWWWW, that so annoying! Why is LEGO so protective over unreleased sets?? (I do know why actually! But you get what i'm saying. Don't you?)

Posted by Stardusty in Croatia, 25 Aug 2011 13:46

Well, I guess I'm lucky, since I've seen, and remmembered all of them. :)

Posted by Vtechmega in United States, 25 Aug 2011 13:53

someone send me the list kthx :)

Posted by bionicle212 in United States, 25 Aug 2011 13:55

could you at least give just a tiny hint?

Posted by Matthew in United Kingdom, 25 Aug 2011 14:20

Please don't post the list, links to the list, or ways to find the list. Aside from anything else, It's a waste of your time, as they just get deleted ;-)

Matthew

Posted by chrismajor2124 in United States, 25 Aug 2011 14:29

Oh great. I thought I would be one of the first to see the sets.

Posted by The Fallen69 in Canada, 25 Aug 2011 14:50

ya, i agree with bionicle212, can we please have a hint, like something that wouldnt give a whole lot away :)

Posted by jrach190 in United States, 25 Aug 2011 15:42

I'll give you a hint (and it gives nothing away)- the sets will be made from [REDACTED]...

Posted by UKver2.0 in United States, 25 Aug 2011 15:55

@jrach190 -- clearly you didn't see the list then

:P

Posted by TBOC in United States, 25 Aug 2011 17:00

Aw, man. I had to be at school instead. This was much more interesting, wish I knew.

Posted by Matthew in United Kingdom, 25 Aug 2011 17:05

surfboy100 and Doctor Leg O'Brick, I did warn you :-)

Here's a hint, there will be a Exclusive set from a theme ;-) (You're not getting anything more out of me)

Posted by nadnerb112 in United States, 25 Aug 2011 17:13

Harry [REDACTED] Ministry of [REDACTED]? :D Edit: Oh I found them, never mind. Only took me like [REDACTED] minutes.

Posted by Echelons98 in United States, 25 Aug 2011 17:27

I don't recall seeing any train stuff on it, so maybe they will add some. NYC Subway?

Posted by Nightshroud99 in Canada, 25 Aug 2011 17:43

I know what the sets are but I have no idea what REDACTED is supposed to mean >_<

Posted by yellowcastle in United States, 25 Aug 2011 17:47

http://lmgtfy.com/?q=what+does+redacted+mean%3F

Posted by Kalhiki in United States, 25 Aug 2011 18:28

Aw man! I missed it! Oh well, only a matter of time before the leaking info pipe bursts into the interwebs.

Posted by spency13 in United States, 25 Aug 2011 18:54

grrr.... the anticipation is killing me!!!! All I want to know is.... ANY HARRY POTTER?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?

Posted by brixton in Canada, 25 Aug 2011 18:56

I saw the list on another site. There is one set I am really excited about. I'm pretty sure I will get it (a final decision will be made when LEGO releases photos). The only way I won't get that particular set is if it is aesthetically atrocious. I highly doubt it though. I think it will look great. I'm as excited about this upcoming set as I was when I learned LEGO was releasing the Public Transport and Grand Emporium sets last year. I have neglected to name the set that I'm interested in because it will just get [REDACTED].

Posted by itsaturkey in United States, 25 Aug 2011 19:04

Aahhhhh... Lego Lego Lego, when will you stop obsessing over unreleased pictures. Maybe you should spend your ''hard earned money'' on something else like...oh say your products! I feel like this is some government conspiracy, with Lego placing REDACTED tape on everyone's mouth. Any way my favorites of the sets are [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] and [REDACTED]. But the [REDACTED] wasn't that cool, I always thought Clone Commando [REDACTED] would have a bit more grenades on his belt, oh well.
:P I never saw the 2012 sets :D and I placed the REDACTED signs :P

Posted by surfboy100 in United States, 25 Aug 2011 19:22

@LegoCoastGuard. Yep, was just trying to help the other members. :)

Posted by yvo in France, 25 Aug 2011 20:12

Here is some weather forecasts for tomorrow : [REDACTED] will shine in most of [REDACTED] but some [REDACTED] will come on the afternoon.
Aww ... seems like some weather lobbies are acting here too ...

Posted by charfdorn in United States, 25 Aug 2011 21:15

Seriously, none of you have ever used a search engine like [REDACTED]?

Posted by TooMuchLEGO in United States, 25 Aug 2011 21:16

Stupid redacting. :P Never seen that word so many times in my life.

BTW, why do we have this little article if it's still a secret? Why not delete it?

Posted by jakeblast in United States, 25 Aug 2011 21:38

i can not wait till we find out what lego was next year!

Posted by Nightshroud99 in Canada, 25 Aug 2011 21:50

haha, I always find that funny.

Posted by slovakiasteph in United States, 25 Aug 2011 23:54

I [REDACTED] that [REDACTED] but [REDACTED] could [REDACTED] been [REDACTED].

Posted by AZFIREWOLF in United States, 25 Aug 2011 23:58

Well maybe Marty McFly can fly his hover board into the [REDACTED] building. Oh wait that was Biff.

Posted by JDLego in Canada, 26 Aug 2011 01:02

@TooMuchLEGO- I agree with you, why is this article still up, theres no point in it because its not showing us the new 2012 sets?, and everybody is just posting stupid [REDACTED]

Posted by DarthLuke824 in United Kingdom, 26 Aug 2011 03:55

^^^ LOL! Good one! I wonder if the [REDACTED] will have a [REDACTED] on it??

Posted by Andhe in United Kingdom, 26 Aug 2011 04:15

I heard that there will be a new dino theme in 2012, or has that been [PTERODACTED]?

(Yeah took me a while to think of that one :P)

Posted by CharlieTheFunEngine in Australia, 26 Aug 2011 04:29

I'm really [REDACTED] that I missed this [REDACTED] info. I was too busy [REDACTED] with [REDACTED].

Posted by Doctor Leg O'Brick in United Kingdom, 26 Aug 2011 04:43

@[REDACTED], that a very good clue from a very good film, though I like part three better. You know, I think [REDACTED] is a mix of [REDACTED]. @JDLego, this article is not [REDACTED]. Look at the posts around you and find the clues people are making....

Posted by Matthew in United Kingdom, 26 Aug 2011 05:50

That's 3 posts I've deleted and 8 REDACTEDs I've put in in the last few minutes. When will you give up?

Posted by Yooha in Europe, 26 Aug 2011 06:46

Why is everyone so impatient? We all will know every future sets IN TIME!
Some missed good news today means more good news tomorrow.
By day way the moon landing was [REDACTED] in a [REDACTED] made by [REDACTED].

Posted by DarthLuke824 in United Kingdom, 26 Aug 2011 06:50

I'm not saying anyting! Ahhum [REDACTED] Ahhum!

Oh, and my Crystal Ball says that 2012 will bring a [REDACTED] and a really cool [REDACTED].

Posted by DrDaveWatford in United Kingdom, 26 Aug 2011 07:21

^^^ Matt, just delete the whole post.....

;-)

Posted by mkoesel in United States, 26 Aug 2011 07:46

Well I just have to add my 2 cents, here:

[REDACTED] [REDACTED]! [REDACTED], [REDACTED] [REDACTED] [REDACTED]. [REDACTED] [REDACTED]; [REDACTED]. [REDACTED] [REDACTED] [REDACTED] [REDACTED] [REDACTED]? [REDACTED] [REDACTED]? [REDACTED]. [REDACTED] [REDACTED] [REDACTED] [REDACTED], [REDACTED] [REDACTED] [REDACTED].

And, yes, I did censor some pronouns, prepositions, and conjunctions in there. I know, I know, crazy right? Well, Lego asked me not to use the words "and" and "the" until further notice because they appeared in the names of some of the sets that were leaked. And also one of the other sets was just straight up called "Above, About, Among". It's a special set with bunch of random bricks that you are just supposed to scatter out and place somewhat arbitrarily.

Posted by Doctor Leg O'Brick in United Kingdom, 26 Aug 2011 08:45

@DrDaveWatford, if you did that, you might as well deleate the news post as posts like that will pop up everytime in this topic.

Posted by Matthew in United Kingdom, 26 Aug 2011 08:59

^^^^^ That's what I meant by the 3 posts...

Posted by PerryMakes in United States, 26 Aug 2011 09:19

I liked the title much better when it contained an error - fit much better with the current state of affairs... As a matter of fact, I think that Webster has considered revising the 2012 edition to:

e·lu·sive [ih-loo-siv]
adjective
1. eluding clear perception or complete mental grasp; hard to express or define: an elusive concept.
2. a skillfully evasive LEGO set that defies recognition: The 2012 LEGO Elusives are...\

LAST IN :) :) :) (well... technically Huw is... but you know what I mean ;)

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 26 Aug 2011 09:24

I think I'll just redact the ability for people to post comments now :-)
