Wow! Lucky French! But don't forget, if you're in the UK, Australia, NZ and probably loads of other places, Amazon.fr will ship to you too!

I've removed those with discounts <30% for the sake of brevity.

@Huw: Thanks a lot for that! :P

@Huw: BTW, any news on Amazon.it?... :P Sorry if I seem so pushy, but I translated it, and I want to see my hard work put to use as soon as possible... :P

This is a one-upmanship move on the part of Amazon.fr. Yesterday, an on-line competitor pricematched Amazon.fr on most of its sets, and then offered a 15% reduction on top of those prices. There was however a standard delivery fee. Amazon.fr today, went, "You want to play that game?", and pricematched the competitor's reductions, almost nullifying their promo. I say almost because there are still some sets like Tower Bridge and Diagon Alley that have not been pricematched by Amazon.fr. Maybe later?

Amazon, across all its global sites, plays a hard game.

@streeker: As I said, it's WAR! :P

^^ And it's great that it's visible for all to see here at Brickset :-)

Indeed it is, Huw. This has turned from what I initially thought would be a small change of local interest only, to an irreplacable shopping tool as well as a unique insight into Amazon's strategy.

I've noticed something odd about the RRP for at least one item. I've started a discussion in the forum because otherwise the comments to this post will be lost the next time Amazon.fr has new bargains:

I've also added a "wish" here WRT the Bargain Watch:

Every LEGO buyer in France probably said, "There is a God..." :P
