Ninjago news is coming in thick and fast this week: Brickbuilder uncovered instructions for three new Ninjago polybag promotional sets at the LEGO Customer services site today. I guess they'll be for 2012 release, given they are the new style figs, so why they've appeared there so soon is a mystery.

Nice use of skeleton legs in the set with Zane... :P

I'm loving the new direction that LEGO Ninjago is taking more and more!

I hope these sets are available in the US. They look like the sort of thing that the UK gets in their newspapers and the US does not.

I wish the title of 30085 was "Blue Ninja, Snakes, and Cupcakes" or even "Flying Snake Attack".

Their helmets resemble duck bills to me, but the torsos are great.

@bluelion3: "Blue Ninja, Snakes, and Cupcakes"... XD

I also love the new Ninjago direction. I liked the skeletons but found them more goofy than scary. I love the detail on the figures.
Any idea how these will be available? e.g. newspaper promo, or spend £?? and receive this free gift, etc.

@Huw; If these are for release in 2012, why are they under 2011 in the database?

Liking the new sai's, not so sure about the go-kart with no tyres :S ??

Ok, I might get the poly with the blue ninja, only for the new cobras.

^^^ Let's wait and see when they are released then I'll change if needed.

Except for Coles' go-cart...lol These are actually very nice.

Posted by KillDeer in Canada, 27 Oct 2011 11:26

I like the blue one.

The one with Jay is cool, so is the one with Zane, but I agree with Nightshroud99; Cole's vehicle is too tiny.

I like the blue one too, just for the snakes.

Darn. If each minifigure had their own shoulder pads I'd probably be able to skip out on most of the NinjaGo sets. Well, It's not like I ever see polybags in Canada unless they're selling at $5 plus.

I'm kinda half-half on NinjaGo at the moment, but these polybags look nice. Though why on earth is... what's his name...Cole, driving a car? Is this part of that lost history that TLG unearthed of Japan?

Edit: No instructions yet? Or am I just a tad impatient? :-)

why isnt there a polybag set in the new kai in in it

Posted by refriedbeans in United States, 28 Oct 2011 17:31

If you put the Jay set pic and the Zane set pic next to each other it makes one big image!

@bluelion3, I agree that cupcakes should be in the title.
I also think that the one with Zane in it is awesome. I'll get it just for the daggers if nothing else.
Is it just me, or did they take the instructions off Lego.com?
